Today I got so many small things done I've been putting off. - Hung up new hooks for the kids' keys - Changed batteries in a bunch of toys - Got all the baby clothes organized (she is coming in just 3 weeks) - Got all the baby linen washed and put on - Got a few extension cords out and set up the kids' nightlights and chargers in better places - Put air in the tires - Picked all the strawberries in the backyard. A tip for going to car places - do what you need to get done, and anything they “suggest”, decline it and either do some research to see if you really need it done/replaced, or ask a trusted mechanic, and if price is an issue, shop around! I’ve saved so much money doing that.

Honestly I loved this bc it makes me feel wayyy more normal!! Things like a super organizing closets, pantry etc. are things I wish I could get to, yet put off until one of my "Life Admin" days!! I love that you showed us what it's like for you on these days, as well as the method of making the list and being ok if it all doesn't get done at once!

If you have a neighborhood app or use Facebook marketplace you should post to see if anyone wants the stuff you’re planning getting rid of for free! I find that there’s almost always a new home other than the dump for something I don’t personally find valuable anymore haha
@@enzopenguin The dump is the term I have heard most often, I did recognize tip from my mom -- many vocabulary differences between UK and Canada. It is mostly just for those who do not have garbage/recycling (paper/cardboard & plastic/glass)/composting pickup, or to discard large items.

I love your drive and energy, the way you power through and get so much done. I make a to do list but following through and actually doing those things is harder for me especially lately as I have been feeling sluggish and low in energy and brain fog. Do you have any tips ?

I learned yesterday that you can get replacement covers for your ikea couches in etsy and other websites if you just Google it! I'm wondering if they're better quality for washing. My issue is my cats scratch mine so I will want to replace it some day.
But I do like to use to do lists for things! Especially if I have a lot to get done and I think things will be forgotten. It also helps me to be more economical about time I think ☺️
I love love LOVE that you call it a "Life Admin Day." I'm a huge fan of making a long To Do list & ticking things off, one by one. That feeling of progress is so good. I do mine with a regular paper planner but same feeling of "Yep, that's done. NEXT." Gotta eat that frog :)
I hate being a lady going to masculine service spots too. I did get ripped off replacing my tires last year haha. They charged me two to three times the amount an average person would pay, but thankfully it wasn't just charging me extra money, it was just an upsell on tires (they told me that there weren't any cheaper ones.) So now I have really really nice tires lol.

The casual sexism with everything car related is definitely a thing. My partner and I bought a car earlier this year and only one out of 5 places did the guy actually make eye contact, address me and introduce himself to me and not only my partner. All the other places they only shook my hand on second thought because I had initiated it and held my hand out - they did give me a bit of a surprised/weird look each time. Otherwise, they would have just introduced themselves to my partner. Luckily, we have a really good place we get all our WOFs and repairs done, who is very nice and doesn't give me the 'can I please speak with your husband' attitude. I really don't know or car that much about cars but that's no need to be condescending and sexist. It's changing.... but veeeeery slowly :) We're in Auckland, NZ now but I've made similar experiences in Germany as well :/
