I have known Ali for a long time he is an easy going guy. We played together with late Jossy Gboye before he crossed over to Ade Olusayo he was on drum while i was on Hawaiian guitar. A complete gentle guy and highly intelligent.
Mr. Ali you are a principled professional and your affable demeanor must have won many hearts in the KSA’s and other bands you performed with. Well tempered. Interesting that you actually played for Salawa and Kollington separately. Good spirited interview. Kudos to the host. Great tempo and flow. -Baba Mighty
God bless you for this interview. I've always looked forward to Ali the drummer since the 90's. I admired him a lot on his drum set, love his diligence and dedication to his work. I'm happy where posterity has taken him to. God bless you and all your family Mr Ali
Ali is an interviewer delight. He is truthful and straightforward. SSP made a big error beating up members of his band including this gentleman. That's very wrong and condemnable.
Merely looking @Sir Shina I thought he's a good person. How and why? must him lay his dirty hand upon his coworker that's a stain n a slap upon him .please Mr Dele sir shina has to come out to debunk this allegation I will be checking to see him again for the new interview. What nonsense?
Hello there, Mr Alli Mohammed😃! I think it's great to hear from you, Sir. I met you in 1996(@ KSA's Ariya Night Club). We had a robust discussion, then☑️. I hope I'll have your contacts, thence we'll catch up, on "old times" 😉.. ~David OGunbÀ
Yes 25years ago, I said a story we heard, i didn't say i was there he Ali should ask about me from Me Tunde Afolabi former ssp vocalist, he's a brother to me, he left my uncle band to ssp in 1978, without Ssp no Ali international drummer drummer, even many people did know that he played for ksa.
There is no point stressing your guests about dates, which they may not remember. You don't have to bring up the issues they have with their fomer band leaders. These are dead issues. Leave your guests, to tell their stories.
Brother, don't you know that those were the questions that made the interviewer invite him? Without those questions, questions that border on his life's journey, he would be nothing but a drummer who is still learning the tricks of drumming. If you must know, dates and happenings are two of the most important ingredients of interviews designed like biographies. And this: let's learn how to allow dreamers dream their dreams (the interviewer had his reasons for creating his channel; and he knows what he wants his viewers to know about his guests).
Mr Ali, according to the story we heard, that u punched ksa, whe he didn't gave your passport to u, i think mr Dele suppose ask u about that, not Ssp slapped u alone we wants to hear.
I didn't say you said he did. I only said it's laughable. He's too gentlemanly to do that. I asked him anyway and he said if he didn't retaliate against SSP, how would he do such against KSA. I think that answers it.
@@deleadeyanju why did he come to my inbox to insult me, he suppose to come on your platform to debunk it, also mr Dele, never listen to one side story try and get in touch with Ssp aswell to hear his own side of the story.
Smiles..... Did he come to your inbox to insult you? I'm not aware of that sir. Meanwhile, it's his story, not mine. Anytime we get SSP, he'll tell his own story. I don't think we should be bitter about anything. All these happened over 25 years ago.
Hmmmmmm ...the way this thing works is different. If a band guy doesn't want to play with his Oga, there is nothing you can do about it. Even if they reconcile, they are still going to part ways!
Please don't be disappointed SSP was the rave of the moment at that time so he felt he can do without him and also with the way he explained he has stomach a lot of such bad behavior for long
Shina Peters has always been a notorious womanizer. Imagine beating up your dancers for a mistress. That’s why Lagbaja is different from all musicians from that era
You're very correct sir... womanising and pride. that really affected him but in all na God get power because kwam 1 too na womaniser and he is still shinning sha.
About the beating in Ondo, I was there. We actually hosted the show as ACE Club. Mr. Ali's narration is true
For very long time i wish to see this man thank you for this interview

I think it was very late 1989 while the music become so popular in 1990. We danced to it in our final year in the campus then.
Great interview my dear brother. You have always bern very talented and humble. Ali Babaaaaaa!!!

He is a complete gentle drummer
This gentleman is a man of God i like him
He sounded to be a straight forward man and somebody that mind his business
Dele. Nice one. It’s interesting hearing from the band boys. Well done.
Hi Mr Ali Baba you are very unique person l so much appreciate you because you never derail until you get to your destination .
NICE INTERVIEW. NICE WORK Mr.DELE ADEYANJU. KEEP IT UP.
Agbaletu, please add the link of the first part under this video for easy linkup and also add the link of this part in the first part!
If Shina try that in America, he will definitely be arrested for assault

The best drummer in the world
Gentle lady
My boss! 🙌🏽

What nonsense?
Kudos to mr-ali
Mr Ali long time
I attended the Adeyemi college of education show then
The guy "Shina" was good in boxing in his hey days.
So he has a penchant for occasional violence.
Dele Adeyanju simply the best
You doing great
This man was very factual🎉🎉

Good one
That man must be very high at that time. He is very stubborn😢😢
The lyrics was "Ayoka ni bo ni wan wan, not Ali" ....
Ani nibonawa.....
He used both Ani and Ayoka. Listen to the song on TH-cam again sir.
Ayi nibo niwon wa bi odun marun .
Fela & KSA are greatest band in Nigeria anyday anytime
Mega 99 do use 2 drums also before
Mr Alli hasn't say or said anything bad about SSP
Gbenga Adenuga has used to drums before in a concert before. Ron Kenoly also used 3 drums as well. Is all about timing.

Great session as usual. I'm very disappointed KSA snatched him from SSP. He could have settled the fight for them.

But I don't like the way he is trying to portray SSP. Without Shina Peters nobody would have known him.
He was only being factual. SSP was rude for that behavior
As good as SSP was, he had behavioral issues
what is wrong is wrong and what is right is right you just can’t twist it my brother
What will be will be by the grace of God my friend
All he said are part of his life history and nobody knows what a day will turn out to be. What SSP did created the disloyalty.
