Luv the metamorphis of knitting. We've all been there but urs is the first I've seen. Kudos! I've been YT learning for 2 years. My health is prohibitive to knitting but still cramming my brain w knowledge. Great AV. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve been knitting since January ❤ Not sure what that makes me on the beginner scale but it was really nice to hear your experience. I already have an unhealthy yarn addiction and I soaked up knowledge like fiber content/weight etc. really fast but being able to go back to fix mistakes has taken so long and I still struggle some 😬. I also love the it was nothing and now it’s something feeling and am feeling very tempted to go a step further and spin. If I’m not careful I’ll own a sheep soon 😅 Have you thought about dying or spinning your own yarn?

@@theknitsitch it's so cool how even in the same hobby, everyone picks up different things first or loves different elements of it!! because fiber content/weight came so late to me as you can tell in this video hahah that's so awesome you picked it up quickly!!
i tried a spinning class with some friends using a drop-spindle once and it was fun!! i haven't tried out dying yet though! but it would probably feel SO amazing to wear something you knitted with wool you dyed and spun from a sheep you raised omg. @grace___gui is an amazing fiber artist on instagram who actually raises her own silkworms and has an angora bunny, and makes some of her pieces from their cocoons and fur and i am in awe !!!

    congrats!!!
for my first knitting project I bought a cardigan pattern. I did a swatch and all, and I had a lot of rowing out.
Anyway I started knitting the upper back, and by the time I had finished the 2 upper fronts I figured out how to even out the knit side and the purl side and my tension changed completelly, leaving me with an unwearable franken-upper-cardigan.
It is now on hold because the weather is too warm for that ....^^"
So, uh, yeah, I learned how to cast on, do german short rows, knit/purl, put stitches on hold, pick up stitches and make increases all of that for "oh well that's getting frogged" =D

but even if you frog the cardigan, it helped bring you all those skills you learned and practiced on it! so any future projects you make will exist thanks to this first cardigan helping you learn

@@starcrossedknits well, I do know exactly what I need in my wardrobe ^^ I spent too much time already with sewing and crochet making random clothes I don't wear hehe, I'm aiming to the things I make to actually get used now haha
