In a few more weeks it will be complicated to decide about what high cushioning shoes to buy from Nike ! Soon all these models will be available at the same time : Invincible 3 , Infinity RN 4 , Structure 25 and the Vomero 17. What I can see is that we have two options for neutral runners and two with some kind stability. And that is it. A shoe I would like people to try out is the Mizuno Wave Sky 7. It is different then the Gel-Nimbus 25 in terms of comfort, bounce and versatility. Both are fantastic runningshoes, I love my "kids", the Nimbus is the most comfortable there is overall but it lacks some versatility, stability, nimbly and breathable upper and those are the strong features of the Wave Sky 7.
Interesting !! I got the Wave Sky 5 long ago, and although it’s extremely long wearing and comfortable on foot, it’s also extremely blah … no energy return, no bounce, no rocker, and no ventilation either! But now you’ve made me curious about the 7!
Damn this is such a good review, I was reading and watching reviews on the Cumulus 25 vs Nimbus 25, people say it's similar minus a few mm stack height. But I felt skeptical about that because there would not be two available models. I am looking more for Invincible comfort, and I do have Infinity Run 1 and 2, but was curious in ReactX. I think I will pass on the Infinity Run 4s now and pull the trigger on Nimbus 25. I haven't tried Invincible 3s but I have Invincible 1 and 2, so I want to expand.
Recently stumbled upon your reviews and I love them. Just got my infinity run 4 in the same colorway today and I'm excited to try them out. I typically use nike trail shoes and have enjoyed them but never their road shoes (I've been sticking to endorphin speeds) but I'm giving nike a try!
The weight thing, is kinda overstated. Unless you're a twiglet weight weeny, it's not a big deal. It's a good daily training shoe. It's not a super light race shoe, it's a robust durable training shoe.
People, stop blowing this shoe off because of the weight. On foot it feels smooth through the gate…you do not notice the weight. Keep in mind I picked this up for 80 dollars at Dicks
On Cloud Surfer 7. It’s my first experience with On shoes, but apparently they got rid on the plate on this particular shoe and it is a pleasure to wear. Time will tell though if the midsole will be durable. So far, so good.
Shoe suggestion: I was able to catch a sale on the Novablast 3 at $109 and since I love the Nimbus 25 I figured I give another ASICS shoe a try. Other TH-camrs may call it a hyped up shoe but man I love this shoe. The Nimbus made me go back for a second pair and I’ll probably do the same for the Novablast. Perfect cushioning for a heavier runner and don’t tell my Nimbus, but the Novablast is my new favorite running shoe lol
I just bought my nimbus 25 and absolutely love it !!! So the nova blast is better ?? Is it a little more squishy or comfortable?? I may go try it out today or just order it!
@@davidbraswell1481 A little less squishy because of a lower stack (not much lower), but the same foam is used so it’s still very comfortable. Where it’s better for me is being lighter on foot and bouncy. I still love the Nimbus, but the Novablast is a more fun shoe to run in. I’ll be buying another pair which will give me 2 of each so they’ll last me a while.
I might buy these as a causal shoe when they are in discount. I bought the original Infinity Run and ran about 800km and it was a squishy shoe and the lightest of all the versions that followed. I still keep the shoe for walking occasionally, especially after a hard running session. The only issue with the OG was that it didn't have an extra hole for runner's lace loop and some people (not me) had heel slip. I tried v2 and didn't like the upper. Skipped v3 as being essentially the same as v2. This is cool looking, but I won't be running in them either.
Always watch your reviews Aubrey even if the shoe is not of interest for me and thanks for this one. Would love Nike to release a shoe that would tempt me back to them but alas they seem to be moving further away.

I have a pair Saucony endorphin speed 3 and the puma deviate nitro 2 both of which at my age (62) are plenty fast enough 😂 ( 1:41 half and :47 10k) Thank you for your reply.

I’ve managed to keep my half marathon time around 1:41 for the last few years which I’m proud of at my age and hope I can keep it going for while yet. I put it down to keeping the same running routine week in week out year in year out and a little help from the endorphin speeds 😉
I only use this shoe for casual and it is amazing for that purpose. Maybe when I get a second pair, I'll try some easy runs... By the way, I bought them for €57.50 (full retail price €169.99). That being said, it is impeccable! I see a lot of comments about this and other shoes, I don't know if people hate the price or the shoes! My suggestion: premium running shoes, after six months or so, the price drops by 50% to 60%, and even more in some cases. Use your energy to buy at the right time.
Not enough cushion under toes and forefoot. I went to buy this shoe at Dick’s sporting goods and after I tried this on I quickly took it off and bought ASICS Gel Nimbus 25 way better shoe feels way better too for the same money!!!!

Is the react foam of these shoes softer than fresh foam x of NB 1080 v12? Could you please show in next videos how different foams react when you push it by a finger or compress? Maybe measure it somehow. I just don't get it why nobody do that? It is so simple and takes only a couple of seconds to show. That can help people to have more understanding what these all reviewers are talking about spinning shoes around in hands for twenty minutes :-) Isn't it a video but a radio podcast? Don't just say this is softer than that. Show it. Prove it. :-)) Because Kofuzi's softness is 100% firmness for me, for example. From my experience and spent money I know that when he says NB more v3 are super soft and comfortable easy day trainers it happened to be quite firm and causing pain as a result. When he sad Adidas adizero SL is what Nike Pegasus should be I didn't make a mistake this time and after trying both picked Pegasus. Which happened to be the comfiest shoes ever comparing to super firm bricks from Adidas.
I genuinely think it’s about the about. I prefer the feel of this foam to honest with you and that’s not so it’s more responsive or squishy… just prefer the “feel” of it
The price is definitely up there but I have to defend it a little bit, it’s a good running and depending on which shoe you’re comparing it with then maybe I understand the criticism.
Cushlon Foam 3.0 is great and very comfortable, but it comes at a disadvantage by being too heavy and weighing the shoe down. The React X Infinity Run 4 would be great for a walking shoe. Just like Nike did with the Motiva, which has the same comfortable Cushlon 3.0 foam, but it is primarily used as a walking shoe.

Sounds like yet another very pretty brick !! On the other hand, science tells us we are generally less injury prone in heavier shoes too, if slower, so some weight is not always necessarily a bad thing for training !! 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Like the feel on your foot, walk around for a min, sprint in the store, etc. I've been to the running shoe stores in the states, MEH! Im a fan of the technology and science, but I ended with blisters based off what they recommended. As a novice runner, surely there's more to trying on a running shoe at a retailer😃 I was torn between the two shoes mentioned above. I purchased the Infinity 4 because I never tried on a shoe where my arch had such amazing support! It hugs my high arch beautifully. If the Invincible 3 had the same arch support, it would be the perfect shoe!

Too heavy and narrow for me, plenty of other similar shoes out there that do a better job for me. Superb quality video again though Aubrey!
