For me, the revelatory information for most people comes at around 52 minutes in. Louise Hay talked about this a lot, but usually the people who need to hear it the most aren't in that kind of spiritual healing community. Excess weight isn't always down to eating too much and moving too little. Stress, trauma, etc are a HUGE part of why even CICO doesn't work most of the time. I say this as a trainer and nutritional consultant for decades. I'm really glad to see this being discussed more often. In the world of athletic training, it's often very cold and old-school when it comes to this area, and it needs to evolve. I disagree with him 110% about fasting and not eating 3 meals. We have caloric minimum needs. Fasting constantly, not eating enough, results in a slowing down of the metabolism. Eating real food, 3-5 times daily in the correct amounts, and then fasting for 8 hours as you sleep, plus the 2-3 hours before bed when you weren't eating, is ample.

not so simple. no way 3-5 times a day. where is your evidence? It’s far too much eating, your body’s digestive system is constantly working, especially if you go to bed with a full stomach

@sailonsister3152 evidence? My own health compared to the cult dieters and fasting zealots, amd my tracknrecird training and feeding athletes for over 30 years. I've witnessed the positive changes with that approach long enough and with people whose health and energy literally are their livelihoods.
No one suggested going to bed with a full stomach either, love. Read my original comment again, all the way through.

@@sailonsister3152 my evidence? Ok, look at statistics, love. Even recently, the longest lived populations on earth for years have been in Hong Kong and Japan. Not only do they eat 3+ meals per day, they eat carbs, animal food, seed oils and everything else current dietary cults tell us will kill us all, lol. Literally millions of people in multiple countries proving all of that wrong every single day. And now, you share your "evidence"?

I found this doctor to be very knowledgeable and informative. And I greatly appreciate a physician who is treating patients holistically and functionally. I find it fascinating that the body can be so complex but most doctors, scientists are believing evolution and not creation. Common logic and sense would tell you that there's no way our human bodies could have created themselves and developed by chance. If you looked at a building would you say wow that building built itself. It takes an intelligent creator to make something as beautiful and complex as the human body and that creator is Jesus Christ. Evolution is a religion and it will lead you down the wrong path that man is God and you can see we can't be God because we can't even beat death but Jesus Christ did beat death he rose from the grave and he lives forever more and we can live with him in eternity if we just put our faith in him and repent of our sins.

I agree, the theory of evolution makes little sense. Do living organisms adapt over time to thrive? Of course. But did we "evolve" from apes, while losing most of their trademark strength, lol? No. Nothing evolves to become weaker, even with an alleged increase in intelligence. So yes, there is an intelligent design and creative entity or energy behind all of life. I just don't support the Jesus story, as it was told many times before, almost exactly identically, many thousands of years prior. But if it brings people a sense of peace and connection to "god" then it's serving its intended purpose.

Great content and information here! I just disagree with the relationship of us to lions and feasting. We’re more like apes and herbivores that hunt and gather. I’m not sure gorging on an entire animal in one sitting is a good idea But I’m vegan so there’s that

We're omnivores, and apes eat insects and sometimes smaller apes as well. Chimps are downright savage.
