I just bought one. What a blast! For my sort of riding it's perfect. Been riding all sorts of bikes for over 45 years and honestly think this is the best bike I've ever riden. Can't understand why they weren't more popular when Honda still made them.
Danke, für dieses Video! 1991 hatte ich eine XBR in rot. Jetzt habe ich mir eine in burgunderrot gekauft und werde sie nie wieder abgeben. Besuch der irischen Insel ist für 2024 geplant. Weiter so!
really enjoyed mine, not s good handling as my previous CB250RS, goodness you could throw that thing into corners, but I thrashed mine round the island at the TT a few timesand moorland bumpy roads wre ace on such a light bike. Then I had a go on a RD350F2, goodbye Honda. Like snorting speed after a nice cup of tea.
I also had an RD350F2, my first bike and still the only one I bought new. There is something special about a light bike, although I often ride the opposite, a Harley.
Still rebuilding mine, bought it as a project. Cam chain was broken and a lot of damage inside. Welded the cracks in the head. New camshaft, new sprocket, new valves and new valve presses (don't know what they are called in English) with new axles... All new bearings, other cylinder kit, rebuild carb.... Hope to have it running for the first time tomorrow, just pumped oil around, but to late to start...
@@terjebiker5842got my driver's license 14th of July last year. Bike was ready a week before! Had lots of fun last year! Drove about 1500km on it. Only need to drill out the idle jet a little, it's running to lean on idle, revs don't drop when using it as should. As a tip from a mechanic I added a small washer under the needle to raise it and enrichen it a bit. This worked fine except it gives a dip around 4500 rpm. Drove it last week on the first nice day of the year, was a blast again!
I love your video. I feel perfectly identified. I just bought an XBR500 transformed into GB500 TT Man incredible!!! A question, what are the mirrors on your motorcycle and where did you buy them? Greetings from a town near Barcelona
Glad to hear that you enjoy the movie and not least your XBR! I bought the mirrors on Ebay, don’t remember the seller but searched for classic looking handlebar end mirror.

I feel the new Triumph Speed 400 is quite similar to the XBR500, it would have been interisting to test the Triumph
I used to ride one. It was a thoroughly relaxing way to travel. Really nice machine with reasonable running costs. Also excellent handing.
Good summary of the xbr500 experience😀
@@terjebiker5842 thanks. It's a bike I have the happiest memories of.
Perfect road for such a bike.

Should have mine next week. Still get excited at 54!
Great!
Excellent bike, look after it. Enjoyed the ride with the motor not over revving or doing stupid stuff.
Hope you post more up.
Thank you!
