Juice was Team Captain @ LSU. Juice was making very nice one handed catches during mini-camp (as a rookie) and on un-returned kickoffs on Sundays during rookie year. Snatching those balls like nothing hit him, therefore producing talk about how huge his hands was. He has big hands! Still no one knew about Jarvis nor OBJ. Fast forward to Week 12 of 2014 NFL season, OBJ exploded onto the scene with that one handed siiick snag. Everyone knows OBJ since that day. Now in the late 2015 NFL season people are starting recognize the "Juice". Jarvis has been making these one handed grabs for a while even before OBJ made it his signature catch but it is Jarvis's trademark actually. Both are great talents. Jarvis would be a HOF and would destroy records if he played with Tom Brady. Look at the stats scrub Edelman can put up or the one's Welker did. Juice is exceptional competitor, super dangerous in space, fights for that extra yard, and has very sure hands besides the fact he gets open and is an excellent route runner. Only knock would be his top speed as he has terrific acceleration and quickness. He is a dynamic number one WR that would kill you from the slot position because he is so talented. Can go actually go up and get it. If he had OBJ speed he'd play more flanker but do not get it wrong the dude would get open anywhere on the field. OBJ on the hand while I haven't seen him much, I hate to say this, he is great at what he does incredible talent but I feel sometime he is just like a glorified speedster. He is super fast maybe even faster than Desean Jackson but from the limited play I seen from him I don't think his all around game is as polished as Juice's. Yes OBJ is the ultimate deep threat and can take it home with his speed, could be super lethal in bubble screens. However he is more frail than Jarvis so he is less psysical and might have issues with a Sherman or any psysical M2M corner as in where Jarvis is actually psysical and not scared of contact whatsoever. They both are great at what they do super talented, super hands, spectacular catchers, but OBJ is middle-deep field homerun threat and D's have to pay attention to him on every damn play, while Jarvis is a threat with the ball in his hands and has incredibly high football IQ. I like both but me being a Dolfan I guess i'd go with Juice as my guy as I feel he is more talented in multiple facets of the game. Can't go wrong with OBJ neither, they both are already TOP 10 WR in their sophomore campaigns !! Legends in the making! GO Fins GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
They're both great but at different things. Odell and Landry were roommates at LSU. They both practiced one handed catches and are both great at it. Odell's just known better for it because of "the catch." The thing is though, Odell's got mad speed and is a vertical threat. Landry doesn't have as much speed and is more a receiver of vision. Landry got crazy YAC because he be smart with the ball and know how to elude defenders. That's what makes him good Odell be burning people, running past them, and the fact he can accelerate and decelerate so fast to avoid the tackle is what makes him good. They also both got great hands as obviously shown.
W. Overall Odell is better, but it's pointless to compare because(like you said) Odell is a vertical reciever and Landry is a YAC reciever. That's like comparing Randy Moss to Jerry rice.
Don't get me wrong, Jarvis is good. But not, Odell good. If we're talking one handed, who's going around saying "yo gimme a Jarvis". No. they say "yo give me an Odell". Obj is just better at it, his athleticism is just on a whole new level. He is the reason "the game is evolving". If we talk just plain wide receiver, Odell is still better. One, just look at overall stats. Two, just watch how one plays, u can obviously see Odell just moves and plays and looks better than Jarvis. people watch a giants game they don't only throw to Odell. They have to many good not (great) receivers to just throw to odell . Odell is barely targeted he's getting doubled or tripled every trip
I think that Jarvis is a tougher ball runner and works extremely well considering the quarterback situation in Miami, but Odell is more of a vertical threat and big play maker. But what people need to take in to consideration is that Odell is working with a much more talented and experienced quarterback and is getting a lot more opportunities to show his skill.
Odell is a speed demon With great hands Jarvis has good speed great hands the ability to break tackles and juke but I can't choose who's better their both unique players. And that's coming from a Dolphins fan..
I really wish the nfl didn't overhype odell so hard. It really makes people hate him and takes away from the fact that he is a fantastic receiver. He is not only solid in his stats week in and week out, but has an incredible awareness of the football and great hands. I get that the nfl has been dick riding him pretty hard, but people need to take a second and realize that it isn't Odell that is making a huge fuss of himself and he is likely a top 3 receiver in the league currently and is having the best start for a receiver in nfl history. Hating someone that a lot of people love doesn't make you unique, it just makes you a follower of a different pack.
They're around the same size, but two different types of receivers. Odell has that extra gear Jarvis doesn't have. But Jarvis has that mentality that he's either gonna run you over or put you on skates. They're both one of a kind and I wouldn't be surprised if they both end up in the HOF some day.
2 totally different players so it'd really just depend on wat your looking for personally... Odell's more explosive & more blessed with natural athleticism but he's also less technical while Jarvis is a consistent always count on chain mover kind of guy that's a technition with his routes & breaks as well... Personally id take Jarvis just for the fact that he's the heart & soul of teams & is a do it by example type of guy but i definitely wouldn't mind having Beckham either haha Both All Stars & both will be hall of famers at the end of there careers... The way i see it is Beckham is more of a Randy Moss & Jarvis is more of a Cris Carter... That's the best comparison i can think of that do them both justice!
As a WR that will make plays I'm.going with Odell. But as an overall player, KR, PR, rushing & a go-to WR Landry. But if you look at Landry's season this year it is very similar to Antonio Brown's first 1000 yard season. With barely any TDs but gets a lot more now. So I think Landry might start playing like him
It really depends on what you want from a WR. Landry gets a lot of yards after the catch and can play all over the field. If you want a deep threat get OBJ. Both are good but Landry isn't a child and can do more imo.

Saying numbers never lie but Odell's numbers are better in 5 less games over the last 2 years. That being said, I love Landry's game, I wouldn't complain about having either.
Both recievers are exceptionally good. I am not going to have a bias opinion btw. Landry and Beckham are equivalent. They both have different talents , and advantages so you cant really compare. Obviously Odell would be alot better for the deep passes when double or even tri-covered because he is much taller than Landry. But Landry would be better for getting the first and y.a.c with short passes such as screens because he is more agile than Beckham. But one thing they are BOTH good at is drawing attention away from the defense. Thats gives Tannehill & Manning chances to give the ball to other recievers such as Randle or Parker. That is my opinion.
I'd draft Landry before Odell all around Landry wins he's consistent with less talent around him and he's humble and doesn't initiate confrontation he just plays and well if he keeps it up people will notice him

Juice was Team Captain @ LSU. Juice was making very nice one handed catches during mini-camp (as a rookie) and on un-returned kickoffs on Sundays during rookie year. Snatching those balls like nothing hit him, therefore producing talk about how huge his hands was. He has big hands! Still no one knew about Jarvis nor OBJ. Fast forward to Week 12 of 2014 NFL season, OBJ exploded onto the scene with that one handed siiick snag. Everyone knows OBJ since that day. Now in the late 2015 NFL season people are starting recognize the "Juice".
Jarvis has been making these one handed grabs for a while even before OBJ made it his signature catch but it is Jarvis's trademark actually. Both are great talents.
Jarvis would be a HOF and would destroy records if he played with Tom Brady. Look at the stats scrub Edelman can put up or the one's Welker did. Juice is exceptional competitor, super dangerous in space, fights for that extra yard, and has very sure hands besides the fact he gets open and is an excellent route runner. Only knock would be his top speed as he has terrific acceleration and quickness. He is a dynamic number one WR that would kill you from the slot position because he is so talented. Can go actually go up and get it. If he had OBJ speed he'd play more flanker but do not get it wrong the dude would get open anywhere on the field.
OBJ on the hand while I haven't seen him much, I hate to say this, he is great at what he does incredible talent but I feel sometime he is just like a glorified speedster. He is super fast maybe even faster than Desean Jackson but from the limited play I seen from him I don't think his all around game is as polished as Juice's. Yes OBJ is the ultimate deep threat and can take it home with his speed, could be super lethal in bubble screens. However he is more frail than Jarvis so he is less psysical and might have issues with a Sherman or any psysical M2M corner as in where Jarvis is actually psysical and not scared of contact whatsoever.
They both are great at what they do super talented, super hands, spectacular catchers, but OBJ is middle-deep field homerun threat and D's have to pay attention to him on every damn play, while Jarvis is a threat with the ball in his hands and has incredibly high football IQ. I like both but me being a Dolfan I guess i'd go with Juice as my guy as I feel he is more talented in multiple facets of the game. Can't go wrong with OBJ neither, they both are already TOP 10 WR in their sophomore campaigns !! Legends in the making! GO Fins GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Odell's just known better for it because of "the catch." The thing is though, Odell's got mad speed and is a vertical threat. Landry doesn't have as much speed and is more a receiver of vision. Landry got crazy YAC because he be smart with the ball and know how to elude defenders. That's what makes him good Odell be burning people, running past them, and the fact he can accelerate and decelerate so fast to avoid the tackle is what makes him good. They also both got great hands as obviously shown.
W. Overall Odell is better, but it's pointless to compare because(like you said) Odell is a vertical reciever and Landry is a YAC reciever. That's like comparing Randy Moss to Jerry rice.

I think that Jarvis is a tougher ball runner and works extremely well considering the quarterback situation in Miami, but Odell is more of a vertical threat and big play maker. But what people need to take in to consideration is that Odell is working with a much more talented and experienced quarterback and is getting a lot more opportunities to show his skill.

I really wish the nfl didn't overhype odell so hard. It really makes people hate him and takes away from the fact that he is a fantastic receiver. He is not only solid in his stats week in and week out, but has an incredible awareness of the football and great hands. I get that the nfl has been dick riding him pretty hard, but people need to take a second and realize that it isn't Odell that is making a huge fuss of himself and he is likely a top 3 receiver in the league currently and is having the best start for a receiver in nfl history. Hating someone that a lot of people love doesn't make you unique, it just makes you a follower of a different pack.

Saying numbers never lie but Odell's numbers are better in 5 less games over the last 2 years. That being said, I love Landry's game, I wouldn't complain about having either.
Both recievers are exceptionally good. I am not going to have a bias opinion btw. Landry and Beckham are equivalent. They both have different talents , and advantages so you cant really compare. Obviously Odell would be alot better for the deep passes when double or even tri-covered because he is much taller than Landry. But Landry would be better for getting the first and y.a.c with short passes such as screens because he is more agile than Beckham. But one thing they are BOTH good at is drawing attention away from the defense. Thats gives Tannehill & Manning chances to give the ball to other recievers such as Randle or Parker. That is my opinion.
