00:00:51 Open up the position only when your pieces are more active than your opponent's and your king is safe.
00:01:17 Maintain pressure and avoid unnecessary exchanges to increase your advantage.
00:06:50 Avoid making aggressive moves that open up the position when your opponent is more active.
00:07:15 Do not open a position when you are not ready and your opponent is more active.

All of these ideas make so much sense and seem so obvious in retrospect once they’ve been pointed out.
It’s crazy how little these simple concepts are understood in the first place and then taught to others.
    Best Chess teacher on YT!

That’s a great point. Reminds me of my progress atm. One game is super. The next one is a mess. Not opening position when the opponent is more active - this thought never occurred to me so far

It's a fundamental lesson that I was told soon after I started playing but it seems to be taking a long time to learn. Development and King safety first, then open up the game and attack.

2:45 is something everyone needs to pay attention to.
If you analyzed the game, you would think that you lost because of overlooking the tactical shot and the eval bar WILL NOT tell you that this is the real moment you lost the game.
It requires human analysis of this core concept.
