Sun cream tips ✨ [background] I’m 25, from the UK and in just a few years have caused enough damage to have skin cancer removed from my face three months ago so am now a big advocate for the importance of wearing spf even in less sunny climates - so far I have found my favourite face spf cream is Green People (reef friendly), tinted sun cream is Drunk Elephant and spf setting spray is Kate Somerville or Coola xxx

Sunscreen tip: also struggled with skin since i was a teen (32 now, long journey). For the last few years I’ve been down the dermatologist route, skin completely cleared thanks to medication but learned about sunscreen in the process. Dermo recommended La Roche Posay Anthelios shakeable 50+. It is meant for problem skin - Texture is super thin so it doesn’t clog, doesn’t have a super sunscreeny smell and makeup goes on really well over. I often just mix a little into face lotion.
I feel you!! I have SUCH problematic skin, I actually have Malassezia folliculitis and eczema. I personally use CeraVe daily moisturizer spf 30 and I've also used Coola sunscreen and saw positive results. From time to time I just use whatever is on hand, otherwise, I'll fry in the sun. If I'm going for a swim, the sunscreen washes off anyway and I find the saltwater helps clear my skin.

to help with your acne/sun cream problem - try a double cleanse!!! it’s when you cleanse your skin first with an oil based cleanser which breaks down the makeup and sunscreen and then you use a water based cleanser to clean all of it off your face. this is what i’ve had to do but it has changed my skin! there’s a skin care channel called skin care by hyram that can teach you all about this. hope this helps!!

I have a quite similar skin type to you and the sunscreen I use and love is the QV 30+ day cream. (30+ isnt much different to 50+, it just doesnt last as long.) It just feels like I am wearing moisturizer and not that gross greecy sun block. Hope this helps!!

I don’t event know if this is a brand in Australia so excuse my ignorance, but the Neutrogena clear face sunscreen lotion SPF 30 is my favorite. I’ve tried any and every face sunscreen and this is the only one that truly does not breakout my face. It goes on like a lotion and doesn’t leave a residue or sticky feeling like so many other sunscreens. Highly recommend and it’s less expensive than so many others I’ve tried
My recommendation is to look into korean sunscreens (they're nothing like western sunscreens). My personal favourite is Klairs' "Soft Airy UV essence". It is a chemical sunscreen but even though I have extremely oily, acne prone, as well as sensitive skin, I've never reacted to it. (It's also a best-seller and award winner).
My favorite sunscreen is the Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Lotion Sunscreen with SPF 50 (for face)! On days where I know I’m going to be outside (beach, yard work, etc) I will just use a good amount of it as my moisturizer and sunscreen, but on days when I’ll be mostly inside with some outside time, I mix a little bit of the aveeno sunscreen with my regular moisturizer!
There are 2 types of sunscreen: 1. chemical sunscreen: this works like a sponge absorbing the sun rays. and 2. physical sunscreen: this works like a shield. It sits on the surface of your skin, deflecting the sun´s rays. The creamy textures sunscreens are not a good options if you have oily skin. If you have oily skin you can try sun gels (recommended: Lotus Herbals safe sun 3-in-one sunscreen. Powdered sunscreen is a good option if you are wearing makeup (recommended: Colorescience Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen brush spf 50). Other recommendations: Biore UV Aqua rich , La Roche- POsay Anthelios XL fluid , Shiseido Anessa Perfect UV sunscreen . Hope this helps!

Dead set the BEST I have ever used and have been using for ages which is a mix moisturizer/ sunblock is ‘Image Skincare Prevention + daily matte moisturizer oil free 32 SPF +’ INCREDIBLE. Absolutely changed my skin in the best way plus it’s awesome as a makeup base. I went through the supermarket in sunscreen and it’s all trash. This is proper stuff and is incredible. Sunscreen: ultra violette CLEAN screen. It’s their mattifying one (which I know you wouldn’t like the sound of) BUT it’s great for sensitive skin. ANNDDD it’s glowy when you mix with a moisturiser. I’ve tried their other hydrating one and it broke me out

I feel like we must have very similar skin and I use the Elta MD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 it is made for acne-prone skin and it is part of my every single day! It doesn't break me out/clog my pores. Hopefully this helps, I had melanoma so I am all about sunscreen!

Definitely double cleanse if you are going to use sunscreen. Starting of with a oil cleanser to break down oils/sunscreen then using your gel cleanser will help a lot! I have really loved the Mecca save the day sunscreen and the purito sunscreens.

I recently discovered the Purito Centella green level safe sun SPF 50 (Korean brand) omg it’s unreal for blemish prone skin! Usually all SPFs break me out and this one is a winner! They do an unscented version too ❤️ honestly the texture is unlike any other! I reckon you would really like it :) xxx
My favorite sunscreen is Erborian's bb cream! It feels so nice on the skin, isn't sticky or tacky, doesn't break out my acne prone skin, and is such a nice primer for makeup or looks beautiful on its own!
Vitamin E oil is so good for skin regeneration! However be careful with the strength of vitamin E oil you use. I have had some pretty bad reactions from putting the oil on my face especially on my eyes. Really bad swelling and irritation. Always spot test when using new products! Love your videos Sarah!

yess! As someone with dysautonomia that was my first thought too it’s so much more common than people realize. But takes soooo long to get diagnosed because there aren’t enough drs that know about all the different types
For sunscreen try the Murad City Skin Age Defence SPF 50. I have very sensitive skin and large pores it's the only one that doesn't make me break out! It's a little expensive but a little goes a long way
Hi Sarah! I have skin similar to yours, I LOVE the EltaMD sunscreen - UV clear or UV sport - or even the tinted one. The formula is really really nice and does not clog my pores or give me acne. I also enjoy the DRMTLGY SPF 45 broad spectrum, anti-aging sunscreen. I usually don't wear makeup, just this everyday. They are about the same price. Love your videos, been watching you for years. :)

Sunscreen: ultra violette CLEAN screen. It’s their mattifying one (which I know you wouldn’t like the sound of) BUT it’s great for sensitive skin. ANNDDD it’s glowy when you mix with a moisturiser. I’ve tried their other hydrating one and it broke me out

Try la roche posay sunscreen spf 50! It's super lightweight and absorbs into the skin quickly without leaving a white cast. I have super acne prone skin and this is the only sunscreen that doesn't break me out

for sun cream i use the revision moisturiser with spf 50, its fab. not too heavy and doesn’t give my acne prone skin too clogged
I feel like we must have very similar skin and I use the Elta MD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 it is made for acne-prone skin and it is part of my every single day! It doesn't break me out/clog my pores. Hopefully this helps, I had melanoma so I am all about sunscreen!

Definitely double cleanse if you are going to use sunscreen. Starting of with a oil cleanser to break down oils/sunscreen then using your gel cleanser will help a lot! I have really loved the Mecca save the day sunscreen and the purito sunscreens.
Def a boss mum - you're doing a fantastic job Sarah! :) Also, I use La Roche-Posay non perfumed sunscreen - I find it has good protection, and hydrating without clogging pores
Clarins Antipollution SPF - the best because it’s not sticky, doesn’t clog your pores! the bottle seemed small but it lasted me very, very long time!

Tula's sunscreen that they just came out with is soooo good. Keeps the skin dewey and has yet to give me any problems at all I LOVE IT

I’m an esthetician and LOVE Jan Marini Antioxidant Protectant SPF 33 and it has an oil capture system, so it will absorb any oil or grease that you may get through out the day. I love it!! Elta MD Clear is my second fav sunscreen 😊🌞
For my acne prone skin, I always have to have an oil free sunscreen! They’re light an airy, I can put on as much as I need and reapply when in the sun, and they never clog my pores

i use an Olay spf cream and its so good and doesn't feel thick, its also really good for sensitive skin or people with acne, ily so much, hope it helps

I recently discovered the Purito Centella green level safe sun SPF 50 (Korean brand) omg it’s unreal for blemish prone skin! Usually all SPFs break me out and this one is a winner! They do an unscented version too ❤️ honestly the texture is unlike any other! I reckon you would really like it :) xxx
My favorite sunscreen is Erborian's bb cream! It feels so nice on the skin, isn't sticky or tacky, doesn't break out my acne prone skin, and is such a nice primer for makeup or looks beautiful on its own!

Vitamin E oil is so good for skin regeneration! However be careful with the strength of vitamin E oil you use. I have had some pretty bad reactions from putting the oil on my face especially on my eyes. Really bad swelling and irritation. Always spot test when using new products! Love your videos Sarah!
My skin is literally the same as yours Sarah and I’m obsessed with Alastin’s suncream! I’ve use their hydratint and regular one and they’re both awesome!
i use the arbonne re9 moisturiser with spf 15. It's really nice to use over other serums and isnt as harsh as a full sunscreen

Fave sunscreen - Nutrogena Ultra Sheer Clear Face Liquid Lotion for breakout prone skin. It's a 'water light texture' and I've never had sunscreen clogged pores or breakouts from wearing sunscreen when using this

Vitamin E oil does WONDERS to my skin. My skin type is dry and it not only keeps my skin super moisturized and soft, but I've noticed it literally keeps the pimples away! Can't live without it anymore.

You should push to get an ultrasound on that and get his thyroid levels checked if you havent done so already. Kurts symptoms might be something to do with hyperthyroidism?
Sarahs Day I’ve had the exact same bump since I was a little kid, Doctors checked it. It’s just a bump and I’ve had it for almost three decades
I have this exact same bump too and have had it for as long as I can remember, my doctors have said it’s nothing 🤞🏼
My husband has that too. It's just a knotted bit of tissues. It looks just like that in the same place.
I have sensitive skin like you and I use Tula daily sunscreen gel broad spectrum spf 30. Gives a nice glow to the skin while naturally protecting from the sun. 😊

Hey Sarah and Kurt, just wanted to suggest you guys have a look into the possibility of Kurt having a form of dysautonomia/autonomic dysfunction as a result of him having had glandular fever and with all the symptoms he's been experiencing. yess! As someone with dysautonomia that was my first thought too it’s so much more common than people realize. But takes soooo long to get diagnosed because there aren’t enough drs that know about all the different types
For sunscreen try the Murad City Skin Age Defence SPF 50. I have very sensitive skin and large pores it's the only one that doesn't make me break out! It's a little expensive but a little goes a long way

Hi Sarah! I have skin similar to yours, I LOVE the EltaMD sunscreen - UV clear or UV sport - or even the tinted one. The formula is really really nice and does not clog my pores or give me acne. I also enjoy the DRMTLGY SPF 45 broad spectrum, anti-aging sunscreen. I usually don't wear makeup, just this everyday. They are about the same price. Love your videos, been watching you for years. :)
