That was a perfect composition for anti zerg. Snow didn’t even use dragoons. I live in maine so having a snowblower is a necessity. If you get a snowblower I recommend the powersmart or a yardmax, you can get them for under 1k, and one of them would be more than enough to clear your driveway
I'm convinced there was either a bet before the match or Larva said to himself that he can win without defilers but once he saw he was losing he caved 😂🤣
The reason why the four player map (Elysium) is not symmetrical, is because it is supposed to be four different maps combined. For example, fighting spirit is the top right spawn and bottoms left is circuit breakers.
Imagine if you lived in the multiverse and could summon protoss zealots to deal with high school bullies in the real world. I'm just visualizing the high school bully pissing in his pants seeing a 9 ft tall extraterrestrial slice him up with psi blades. Ah the power of technology.
Snow absolutely crushed larva. I've never such a one sided massacre from protoss yet like snow and he's playing one of the best Zerg players in the world.
@@VashxTSx nah no scourge snipe because then protoss can get Corsair or scouts if they get too devourer or guardian friendly. Protoss got an answer for all Zerg aggression.
Potential spoilers below I think the game was pretty decided at about the 19 minute mark. Snow's split zealot/archon attack across multiple bases did so much damage. It cleared the workers from the main base, the first expansion and twelve o clock expansion. It also destroyed tech; getting the spire and the spawning pool, AND it cost Larva about a dozen lurkers. It gave Snow time to set up expansions without being harrassed and delayed defiler production by a further... 5 minutes at least? I think the reavers were able to shine because Larva was lacking mutas and defilers because of this.
Larva was playing strong, but should have sacrificed some of his bases for a powerful attack on Snow base. That happened but too late. Snow is a very strong protoss player. Recently Artosis mentioned that Bisu is nowhere close in TvP comparing to Snow.
Prioritization from Snow on which targets to kill first was on point. Didn't have any complaints. Notice that the Archons played their part here by busting down colonies. Archons still can't fight - and got lucky killing some Mutalisks and Overlords which shouldn't have happened if Zerg had micro-ed properly.
i remember this map from a game casted previously, this is an amalgamation of 4 different maps the top right being Figthing spirit and i dont remember the other 3
@@a1mtarabichi doubt that would make a difference. You're just biased towards Zerg for some reason. You like boogers. LoL j/k... Snow just was that damn good.
@@a1mtarabichi Dark Swarm would not have made a difference. 24:06 explained it - the heavy melee composition of Zealots and heavy splash composition of Archon/Reavers would go under Dark Swarm. Dark Swarm works best in games where the Protoss massed Dragoons to deal with bigger units like Lurkers and Ultras - basically got baited out to go Dragoon tech then Defilers come in to screw them over. It also didn't help that Larva's Defiler tech came in pretty late here - any new Defilers here also freshly hatched with low energy. Larva not using Defilers was the sensible move. The key here is Protoss early expansion timing - Snow found the right windows earlier on allowing constant Zealot/Archon pressure later on. In general, I frown upon Archon builds as Dragoons are cheaper and I also spent some time figuring out how Archons managed to work out here - essentially the early expansion windows were the deciding factor.

Even better than bisu. Bisu is kinda overrated now. His losing streak stems from his dragoon fetish and lack of reaver use and high templar storm play. And I don't think he even uses dark archons and dark templars.
Any time someone mentions Larva, i think of the clip where he plays with his feet. Cracks me up every time. Great cast as always!

that map has good replayability for not being symmetrical, anything can happen
My god that was some insane micro play from both players in the mid game.

The bully could do that too so he would summon Darth Maul to kick the Zealot...
@@Pikkabuu nah he wouldn't know how to. Besides Darth Maul doesn't stand a chance against a protoss zealot with shield upgrades and leg enhancement.

The shuttle reaver micro at 20:45 is something to behold for every toss player. Also Larva really needed plague like badly.
Plagues went off - just that Plagues aren't as devastating to Archons/Zealots as they are on say Science Vessels, Siege Tanks, Dragoons.
