As a recruit you go through intense training in all aspects of the laws you will enforce, physical conditioning to carry out your duty, learning what your tools are, how to use them ,By the way, the firearm you carry is not the most powerful tool you have, the radio is. With the radio you can call for all the help you need, you receive and transmit information, information is Power. After your very intense training in the Academy you graduate as Peace Officer, that is our title and our purpose, Keep the Peace. Your next training takes place on the streets as a Rookie, under the direct oversight of your FTO. The Field Training Officer is someone who has several years on the Force who has gone through training to become an FTO. Your FTO is with you for your 600 hours of on the job training in which you Learn how to be the Officer you were trained to be in the Academy. Following that you become a Car Commander and are turned lose to do your job Protect and Serve. As a fully trained Car Commander you are expected to carry out your job and represent both the Department, fellow Officers and your Chief to the highest standards. Your job is to be proactive, not passive. You can't just sit in your patrol unit and just let things happen, then get on the radio and complain how bad things in your beat are , complain " why isn't the Chief doing anything about stopping it" Because IT'S Your job. You have an area that is your Beat, what happens in your beat is your responsibility. Not the Chief's. You also respond to calls for help, you often enter very dangerous situations that You Must take control of. Many times you are called into people's lives at the worst time they will ever have, when you do you are relying on your training, your Dispatcher and fellow Officers as the need dictates. You remain calm and do your job or people lose their lives. Being a Child of the King is no different. The Holy Spirit is your Dispatcher both to guide you to what, when,where and how, He is the link for anything you need to do your job. Now that you know, Stand. Stand is not a passive command It is a military term, when you Stand that means nothing, no one gets past you, you are the 1st line of defense.

sometimes seem so strong in faith, like you're saying "greater is He in me, etc." but then when get hit w/physical symptoms or spirit of fear, fall apart!!! guess, need to speak Word anyway, despite, feelings, but instead get paralyzed emotionally/spiritually.

He can put thoughts in your head, but every negative thought that comes in your head is not from the enemy. Sometimes it's your flesh. Whether it's your flesh or the enemy you have the power to cast down vain imaginations that doesn't align itself with the word of God. A practical way to combat these thoughts is to believe and/or do the opposite of what those thoughts are. Satan has as much control of your mind as you allow him to have.

Hey Barry, I love your teachings! I have a question about something you said in this one. You talked about getting older and your body isn’t what it used to be and you’re slowing down. You mentioned in other teachings that you’re living to be 120. You’re around 70 now, if you believe your body is degrading the older you get, how will you make it another 50 years?
