A co-worker of mine started playing this tune on his guitar one day during lunch...everyone just stopped and listened, all in a trance or something, even the dudes. What a song!
@richardinocencio,. May I recommend some 60's songs? Feel good music, The Turtles, The Association, Spanky and Our Gang. Some of The Beach Boys. Give it a listen. Possibly, you might like some of these. Take care and all the best.

21 years old, not a single relationship. Believe me when I say this is a deep song. Edit: Thank you all for trying to help me, you made me think it's not that bad and even I'm turning 22 this May, I'm still young and I need to enjoy myself.
+Myles Frampton well it took me to after that age to find anything meaningful, life isn't about making someone else happy it's about making yourself happy. lots of the time that comes from within and not from being with someone else.
21 is still young. The right person is out there somewhere for you. I've always been shy, and didn't even get my first kiss until age 24. I'm still looking for my "Miss Right" and I turned 42 this week. You'll definitely fare better than I in the love department!
I remember listening to this song for the first time and almost started crying going down the 15 freeway to Temecula Ca,after just arguing with my girlfriend. I turned around and went back to her house, and walked right in straight to her and kissed her so passionately she begin to cry. We looked deeply into each other's crying eyes and both said I love you at the same time. We never said a word to each other just held each other tightly. A couple of days later she asked me what possessed me to ever do that so I went out and bought the album for her( she actually still has that album to this day how cool is that?) For how many minutes it was, that song ultimately changed our relationship for another 8 more years. But sadly enough we had Departed. we are still friends to this day I still love thinking about her every time I hear this song it's amazing what good music can do for a relationship good or bad.
Listening to this song and reading stories such as yours reminds me of a time when things were less superficial and people and things and songs just had a deeper meaning. I think that's what people miss about the 90s and early 00s
O man, I was expecting happy ending. Sorry to hear that, bro. 90's music is the best of the bests music for true romantic love life something you can't find in today's music.
This is the song that sealed the end of the 1990's. I was a junior in high school when this song came out, and it was everywhere. I remember my friends and I slept on the sidewalk during New Years Eve in Pasadena California waiting for the Rose Parade, welcoming the new year 1998. We joined about 100 or so punk kids camping on the side walk, smoking and drinking...and this cute punk girl pulled her AIWA boombox out and blasted this song, high and drunk, we all sang along to this song even tho a lot of us didn't know the lyrics. Those were the best times.
No TH-cam that time. And the only way to listen to this is thru radio or waiting on MTV Top 20 to come and show up. Thats how it works during the late 90’s. And She’s All That is timeless.
This song came out in 1998, the best year I can ever remember. There was something in the air, and how truly special this song and that year will always be.
Mid90s I was In my early teen yrs.just trying2get good😀enough grades so I could graduate🧑🏼🎓🗞fromJr.high&go2high school🏫that following sept.but by that time It would b the late90s&still In my early teen yrs.
I graduated from high school the same year that this song was released. I was just 17 and now many years later, hearing it still gives me the same exact feeling I had when it was first released. Hope for the future and a yearning for the type of love described in this song. The 90s were an awesome time to be a child or teen, it’s too bad there’s no time travel
My mom passed away in 2009 when I was turning 5. Recently, my dad told me this was one of her favorite songs. I always think of her when I hear it now.
I sang this song "karaoke" style in High school (years ago) at the "talent" show to surprise this girl I was seeing. ( as a joke) It was "karaoke" until the 1:28 mark & the curtains were fully drawn back to reveal that my 2 friends & a stranger were actually backing me as a band. I then managed to snatch a dangling 1977 Gibson Flying V from the rafters. The look, the smile, the eyes on that girls face were so precious. Since that night I'm still tied to that girl. Only I call her "wife" now.
I have always liked this song, video, and movie (She's All That.) The video itself is so simple and straightforward, sun scorched mud, a lighted backdrop, a screen, a park bench, a string of lights, and the band....keeps me coming back again and again. And then I find out that Sixpence None The Richer is from right here in Texas, that's cool!
It's why we have a day off on Sundays or Saturdays for that matter and don't love anything more than God as ordered in the 10 commandments. For deeper insight listen to immaculate heart radio if there isn't coverage in your area go to ihradio.Com I wish you well my friend.
My mom listens to this song alot, and i thank her for that, without her i wouldn't have ever known this existed as I wasn't born in the 90's, thank you Mom.
I love the line when she says "you'll wear your shoes and I will wear that dress It's so sweet yet so evocative A hot summer night, a first date, two lovers who always fancied each other but they only just mastered the courage to ask each other out "that was the summer of my 17 years..." Shalọm 🌻

Remembering departing away from my 2 months pregnant girlfriend because her parents did not like me for their daughter... the last time we said good bye at the bus station we both cried and hugged each other for more than 30 minutes...then I took a seat on the bus and this song suddenly played...while watching her face slowly disappeared in my sight..I was sobbing so loudly that I never cared and noticed people were already staring at me.. @@lovemyfifi There's nothing wrong with getting lit together . It's a catchy song that people get stuck in their head more they listen to it and I like song too and you got a great taste in music

this reminds me of vhs.. summer time. watching cartoons on my not so flat tv. disney films.. agent cody banks. i miss my childhood
+Saint Bangs Gaming You are not alone. Most of us miss the days long gone, when childhood was innocent and the biggest shit you got yourself into was for dipping your hand into the cookie jar before supper...Yup, definitely miss my childhood....

+Saint Bangs Gaming Grow up yeah
+Vic Storms i hate i was born in 2000`s
Don't hate that you were born in the 2000s. TH-cam is here for you and you've got your youth, middle age, and old age left to enjoy!!
Oh my god the summer of 1999....when you heard this song almost every day....it was perfect ❤️
20 years ago....
@@Archmetal06 I was merely 9
It was amazing to hear this song on the radio driving on a sunny afternoon
Ah I was a whopping 0 at the time.
Amen brother.

❤
It was 1999.I was 15 years old and my heart was flowery.
I was 14. I have all those hits on Now 44 (a double cassette)
I was in 3rd grade when I heard it for the first time. I am still in love with this song. :)
Lol this is just fucking good in general, whoever disagrees might have some shitty taste of music
i was 18
I was 8 and I already listened all this songs
A co-worker of mine started playing this tune on his guitar one day during lunch...everyone just stopped and listened, all in a trance or something, even the dudes. What a song!
dang :D
I am an 80s guy but every now and then i find gems from the 90s. This is one of those.
Gabriel Camarena the 90s had a lot of weird experimental and downright awful songs, but there are many gems that are worth a listen today :)
I feel it had quite an 80s feel. Maybe a bit lighter.
Can someone please recommend more music like this. I'm from 2003 but this song really makes me feel good
Try 10,000 Maniacs "These Are Days". :)
Donna Lewis 'I Love You Always Forever'
@richardinocencio,. May I recommend some 60's songs? Feel good music, The Turtles, The Association, Spanky and Our Gang. Some of The Beach Boys. Give it a listen. Possibly, you might like some of these. Take care and all the best.
Linger by the cranberries
Oasis - don't look back in anger , for me one of the the best pieces of music from the 90's
The feel good seemingly care free 90s. I would have enjoyed them even more if I knew what came the decade after.
The 90s were a decade built on the sacrifice of so many people, and I'm very thankful that I got to have my childhood then and not some other time.
I agre. I grew up in the 80s. By the time this came out I was nearly out of college. I loved it. Good times.
Jason Camp Damn... that is so real. It was like a fleeting gift to humanity and we had no idea. I'm just happy to have been a product of the decade. :)
Jason Camp I agree. 1992 baby here
mark holter 91 grad here!! 1994was the last time I was really happy!
As a metal-rocking, stud-wearing, tattoo-bound biker...this song is my secret pleasure

I've actually heard this same exact statement from a lot of metal heads. It's truly a universal song.
What a great song. What a voice. She is like a goddess in this video.
Lovely voice ugly face

21 years old, not a single relationship. Believe me when I say this is a deep song.
Edit: Thank you all for trying to help me, you made me think it's not that bad and even I'm turning 22 this May, I'm still young and I need to enjoy myself.
You are still a kid it will come
pompyromage how old were you when you had your first relationship ?
+Myles Frampton well it took me to after that age to find anything meaningful, life isn't about making someone else happy it's about making yourself happy. lots of the time that comes from within and not from being with someone else.
pompyromage Yes, you're right.
21 is still young. The right person is out there somewhere for you. I've always been shy, and didn't even get my first kiss until age 24. I'm still looking for my "Miss Right" and I turned 42 this week. You'll definitely fare better than I in the love department!
this song makes me cry actual tears... delicate, feminine, ever elusive love.
Sam Reads me too
Know what you mean. But also empowering ...
All I see is a woman falling down the stairs and her dad telling her to stop fooling around.
Music has that effect man. Great story, and kinda hits home with me too. Glad you're still friends. ;)
Samuel Robbins wtf man I was expecting a happily ever after
Listening to this song and reading stories such as yours reminds me of a time when things were less superficial and people and things and songs just had a deeper meaning. I think that's what people miss about the 90s and early 00s
O man, I was expecting happy ending. Sorry to hear that, bro. 90's music is the best of the bests music for true romantic love life something you can't find in today's music.
This is so sweet❤
This song used to play on the muzak at the Albertson's I worked at in the late 90s. It played so much. It never stopped. Just over and over.
I loved this song. Seeking comfort in these unpredictable times, and this brings me way back to my late teens/early 20’s. 90s music was the best!!
I used to hate this song in the 90's.
I guess I'm getting old because this sweet, melancholic, song makes me happy now.
I think I just hated it because it was overplayed.
Jonathan Westbay same

To me this uniquely beautiful song has the same feel as The Beatles' Here Comes The Sun. So refreshing to listen to and can never get old.
Very true
E essa música continua sendo aquela que você não se cansa de ouvir. Quantas lembranças!!😍
Sometimes I cant even get through this because of the nostalgia
Exactly!
You can even see the old CD with sharpie marks...
Those were the best times.
damn
das a movie moment

Those kind of moments made the 90s an irreplaceable decade you won’t see again specially now that everyone lives in a virtual reality 😪
How old are you ?
No TH-cam that time. And the only way to listen to this is thru radio or waiting on MTV Top 20 to come and show up. Thats how it works during the late 90’s. And She’s All That is timeless.
youre goddamn right. I love that freaking movie.
so true
Or, er, buying the cd?
and all the wait for music to come on radio or tv made it more enjoyable.
I would listen to local radio and make tapes of all my favorites
This song came out in 1998, the best year I can ever remember. There was something in the air, and how truly special this song and that year will always be.
I'm a man and still feeling sad when listening this song. How i miss my childhood in mid 90's

Víctor César OMG I am watching not another teen movie right now and wanted to look up the song!
Only I call her "wife" now.
thats so sweet!! hope the both of you are doing well :)
fuck off, that's not true

Uma brasileira ouvindo essa música para relaxar em 2022. Marcou muito minha juventude ❤️
I have always liked this song, video, and movie (She's All That.) The video itself is so simple and straightforward, sun scorched mud, a lighted backdrop, a screen, a park bench, a string of lights, and the band....keeps me coming back again and again. And then I find out that Sixpence None The Richer is from right here in Texas, that's cool!
yeah so right :)
you mean you don't like the horse shit music out today? come on Beyoncé in the street with a bat singing horse shit is good.
As much as I love the internet, it really destroyed a way of life that I genuinely enjoyed.
That's true.
For some reason this comment makes me feel really sad...

I was 19 at that time.. now I am married with 2 kids. but every time I hear this I can still feel the pain in my chest and I feel suffocated.. songs are so powerful!
