    Can you review the Empress EQ by Gainlab?

      I get requested for this video a lot. It's not a unit I will be purchasing, but if I can manage to get one in the studio at some point I will review it.

      You have the violet EQ in the Fusion, so you wouldn't gain too much from an ultraviolet EQ. I wouldn't consider the ultraviolet as a mastering EQ. It is more a mixing EQ.

    Thinking back to your video about the Audeze LCD-X, do you use or recommend using software to tune the output? If so, what do you recommend?

    • @AudioAnimalsStudio

      I use the MTRX DadMan software to EQ my headphones. I EQ them to sound identical to my room. By taking them off and putting them back on until I can not notice a change I sound from the binaural audio to the Dolby atmos system. Then I have headphones that sound like my room.

    Would you master agressive styles on the Buzz Eq? Like hip hop or EDM for example. Im asking because it seems to sound so sweet and lovely.

    • @AudioAnimalsStudio
      @AudioAnimalsStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's good for all genres. Even something a bit more aggressive. You have a really nice saturation circuit on it also which is good for more aggressive music. Also the transformer outputs add to the overall sound very well.

    Hi Paul, would you recommend the Wes Audio Hyperion? It supposedly serves for mastering and tracking and has THD, M/S,... I'm only asking you about the sound quality compared to the ones you mention or others in its price range (elysia x filter) because I remember that you didn't like the ones knobs,... thank you,

      I had the hyperion in here a while back and it was really good. I found it fiddly to use unlike a larger mastering eq. With the plugin control using a controller it was very usable for me. I love the sound of all the Wes Audio gear.

    I need to combine an equalizer and a compressor, to master my music (electronic music), only to gain the vibe, not for surgical equalization (electronic music), and just 0,5db or 1d of gain reduction.
    what do you think about these combinations:
    - foot control system p3s mastering version (compressor) and TK Audio TK-Lizer 2 (equalizer).
    -Dangerousmusic compressor (compressor) and dangerous bax eq
    -wes audio dione; wes audio rheah (compressor)e andwes audio hyperion (eq)
    What combination you think is the best?

    • @AudioAnimalsStudio
      @AudioAnimalsStudio  ปีที่แล้ว

      The dangerous chain would be really good. The BAX EQ is great but not going to cover all your EQ needs.
      The wes audio chain is great. That'll give you a lot of functionality and probably end up cheaper. Digital recall also.

    I got a sick deal on a Bettermaker Mastering EQ. The guy is in Australia though, and im in the US. He wanted to do paypal friends and family, which I knew better than to do. Goods and services…so we did that. But- the invoice he sent me was a “money request”, with no mention of the product. I could have still chosen goods or services, but I wanted to item listed…lest he put a peanut in the box and send it to me. He declined because he claimed he didnt want to pay sales tax…told him id absorb that cost and he still declined. Scam averted right? Still want that bettermaker, but I also want an API 5500 and a Bax. I think I just need to buy everything…lol

      Everything you said there was a red flag. Don't do it. We bought equipment once and it arrived as two bags of flour. We got an instant refund thankfully but that was only because it was goods and services. I now record myself opening any items I receive second hand as video proof of the condition it arrived in. Don't do it sounds like a scam. My dad always taught me if it's too good to be true it usually is.

      @@AudioAnimalsStudio thanks so much for your input. Yes I went ahead and declined last night. It was someone on one of these “Mastering Groups” on FB. Red flag after red flag…sorry to hear that happened to you- happy it was able to be refunded.
      Do you happen to make sellers list the items you are buying specifically on an invoice? It is in fact possible to do a “goods and services” transaction without an itemized invoice, but doesnt seem wise. Just asking for future reference- thanks for your time

      @@AudioAnimalsStudio a “how to not get scammed when buying used gear” might be a good video now that im thinking about it

    • @AudioAnimalsStudio
      @AudioAnimalsStudio  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Rhuggins that's a really good video subject. I'll do that one. You just need to always make sure you are covered. Yes it costs more to do it that way but there's so many scammers online doing this. There's loads on reverb too. I always make sure I buy through either a reputable company that have a reputation for used gear or I buy through a platform that covers you. Such as ebay. If it's an expensive item I'll always drive to collect or if the person is eager to make the sale they'll drive to me. I never buy overseas because of this issue. Plus avoids import fees.

      The Elysia Xfilter is a great sounding EQ. The Maag EQ4m is also really good. Fixed bands on the Maag though.

      @ittou ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AudioAnimalsStudio I'm interested in Maag EQ Air band. But I think Elysia Xfilter is better, because it offers more flexibility in the frequency band.

      @ittou both are really good for the price. The xfilter offers more flexibility but the maag offers the airband which is really good.
