    Useful info. From what I can infer from this input is hair dye treatment has to be discontinued. Have I got that right?

      Ideally yes.PPD seems to be the main factor in causing the pigmentation and therefore avoiding it may help reduce the pigment. Using natural hair dyes may be an alternative and here is a video on it

    Thanks a lot for the information. My mother is suffering from this condition which has resulted in the downfall of her confidence. Can you please suggest some treatment to clear her skin again and so that she doesn't face this condition ever again? Also, please suggest a good natural hair dye which provides coverage and will not trigger the condition further.

      @@vanchanasavanth2412 There are a few creams that can help facial pigmentation. here is a video on it. In darker Asian skin it may take many months for the skin to get back towards normal.

    Sir, I hv allergy towards henna and after that I started using hair dye. Now it also gives me allegy and consulted doctor and precribed CUTICOLOR. Hope it vl suit me. I came to much more about this brand from ur videos. Thank you so much

      Hi, Im not sure what the question is? Constipation is unlikely to be caused by hair dyes.

    Do you believe hair color - especially those with PPD - contributes to melasma too?

      Good question! Pigmented contact dermatitis is a distinct entity and can look like melasma. There are some reports which suggest that melasma can occur with hair dyes too. I suspect they are different though. It is certainly worthwhile stopping hair dyes, whichever the condition!

      Most natural dyes like indigo powder are useful as long as the manufacturer has not added any PPD to it. Here is a video explaining the natural dyes that can be considered

      I use henna & indigo powder & although I have no allergies to these I developed pigmentation around the hair line & now iam struggling to treat it

      You are right, sometimes natural treatments cause problems too. I will not be surprised, however, if the suppliers have added a tiny bit of PPD to the natural mixtures. To reduce the pigmentation, tranqxeamic acid is an option that can be discussed with your dermatologist. Here is a video on it

    Iam allergic to cuticolor also . Of course iam allergic to ppd & now iam allergic to cuticolour . Henna & indigo has causes pigmentation!!
    Can you pls suggest an alternative pls!!

    Balck Rose hair dye is best or not? I am using Balck Rose hair colour and I got the pigmentation .

      The most important step is to stop using all hair dyes. I did a lecture on this recently and will upload it. It mentions the natural hair dyes that can be used. Generally, interventional treatments like lasers, hydrfacials can irritate the skin. Medical treatment like tinted sun screens and oral tranexamic acid may be beneficial.     Sir , I live in Muscat .. recently I developed facial pigmentation due to hair dye.. I have stopped using hair dye.. Will it go permanently.. please help .. I apply aloe Vera gel licorice powder.. Will it help ?

      Hair dye induced pigmentation generally settles with time but may take about a year or two to resolve completely. I do not have experience with aloe vera gel. There are reports that tranexamic acid could help. Here is a video on it.

    I applied Indus velly bio organic indigo powder for two hours one month back.next morning I had swollen eyes and red face and neck.I see to d dermatologist and he gave me kojivit for night and mela skin for morning.my face has become black and still have itching,it’s already one month. What to to ,I’m depressed 😢

      Unfortunately, many add a bit of PPD to even "organic" hair dyes resulting in a reaction. You could try some of the hair dyes that claim to have removed PPD and MI from their products. Here is a video on it
