Not sure why your viewing figures are down Dave, great video and cracking drone footage. Was in Keswick this weekend, soggy Saturday and super Sunday. Did Coledale Horseshoe and could see the south side of my route on this vid, Grasmoor, Wandope, Crag Ill , Sail etc. Glad you’re not stopping, despite the drop in views. It’s all about those other views… the Fells. Keep em coming fella👏🏻🎒⛰from another Dave

Great Vid Dave! it certainly was filming for Mission impossible, my dad was doing some work for it and Mr Cruise was flying himself in each day from Grasmere!
I was there in March. Great memories. We were there last year when they filmed the Rising. Before heading to the Lakes we headed to the St Bees and the coastal path where Your mate Tom C was filming in the quarry and on the old steam train. Glad to see the drone. The mountain bike tale had me in stitches ~ all that way and then back down🤣🤣🤣. The drone is back 👍.
Aye that was a good wee watch on a Sunday afternoon rest day for me , cracking pitch again mate and it wouldn't be a mountain camp without a bit of weather eh ,think you wore out the Tom cruise bit but well I probably would have too , 😀 .. keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍 great watching without anyone trying to sell Us stuff . Hi Dave, I reckon you fast-forwarded through that dreadul eroded descent from Red Pike to Bleaberry Tarn. I did it last summer and it’s like trying to walk on marbles - more a series of slides and falls than a walk!
Superb that Dave. Views were amazing. That rain in the morning was no good though. Really enjoyed that one. Looks a cracking mountain. One for the future I think 👍🏼 great video. Take it easy! Craig
Can't wait till mine on Wednesday, wondering what weather I get. That really got me in the mood. What a pitch. Smiled at your comment on those down at the tarn 😜. I was the same years ago. I bumped into a large contingent at a hut in Switzerland filming touching the void. They lost my number too 😂..... great vid as usual Dave.
Class camp that Dave, its lovely part of the lakes, looks like you found a good flat spot to pitch, and you're right, it's a cracking looking tent👌 Drone footage you got of your camp was brilliant👍, that lake just looked too good not to go in, cold I bet though 🤣, looking forward to where you end up on that next night, atb Mick 👍
Cracking stuff. Your eye for a good view and subsequent footage is spot on as always. You even managed to provide some great views of my next trip to Grasmore and surrounding fells. I wouldn't be too disappointed that you didn't get 'that call'. Hollywood's loss is our gain. 😀
Buttermere superb, my mum and dad took me to the Fish Inn many a time, I have few bits of slate from Honister, did you find out why the helicopter was flying?. Looking forward to the next video ,keep them coming Dave your a legend.
So bizarre that you’ve just posted this video. I actually walked this route a week ago (going the other way round) and we ventured up Dodd before climbing Red Pike. Whilst on the summit of Dodd I thought this would be a great recommendation for a wild camp for you and I spent a couple of minutes checking out the ground for a flat pitch. My wife said “what are you doing?” and I had to laugh. Anyway it’s a terrific walk, but IMO definitely one to be attempted in kind weather.
Yes it was for the upcoming Mission Impossible movie I was on Fleetwith Pike a couple of weeks ago.... loads of helicopter's flying. Young Tom...bet he's older than you!
Another great one mate although waking up to the sound of heavy rain is an awful feeling. Still, you’ve been I credibly lucky with weather for so many camps that a wet one was probably about due. Keep up the good work mate. 👍😊

I couldn’t get to top of red screes by Kirkstone in that heat, my breathing was just gone mate. You could’ve fried an egg in those rocks. I dunno how you guys do it!! 👹
Sorry Dave, promised to support every video, but I’ve been away. Again, loved this. My second favourite area in the lakes (behind Scafell massif - like you!). Okay, two questions! 1. The Trailblazer looks like it’s hanging low. Are you finding it more comfortable than your Osprey? 2. I’m still yet to do a two nighter in the lakes. Dying to do it, but the poo is the factor 😂 can put it off for one night, but not two. Do you factor a pub / hotel stop in for the two nighters? Also, I’ve still not parked at Gatesgarth farm for overnight parking, only through the day. No issues? You’re looking well 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Great to hear from you again Simon. Hope you had a good trip. The rucksack probably needed adjusting. I always forget to do it. I do like it tho but only for lighter loads up to say 12kg. Haha. Know what you mean about poo situation and rarely have to “go” on the mountain. I usually head into town after the first night. Get something to eat, re supply with food and “freshen up”. Then drive to a new filming location for the second night. Works really well for me. No problem parking at Gatesgarth. Just paid full price and came back early next day. ATB pal 🙏🏻
@@TheSoloSummiteer thanks Dave, always a pleasure speaking with you. Always great you take the time to get back to us. Hi Dave, spoke to you on hereva while back now I have finally got all but my backpack kit together for my first wild camp. What is the best size backpack to have I have various packs my biggest is a 35/45 ltr. Can you help.
Hi Dave. My summer pack is the Montane Trailblazer 44. I also have an Osprey Atmos 50 and 65. I tend to use these in winter when I need to carry more kit. The problem with a bigger rucksack is the you will inevitably try to fill it. Then you’ve got to carry it. Not great carrying a heavy rucksack up mountains. You will probably take way too much stuff on your first few camps. 35/45 should be fine for summer, once you get used to knowing what you need. HTH - Dave
