here in the mountains of San Diego are well depths avg. 1200 ft deep. We set pumps at around 1000 feet and fortunate if we get 8 gals a minute. My well was drilled to 1600 feet and produces 1.5 gpm.

Curious about your pump selection? and total head? do you have a gravity tank? are your panels on trackers?

Great video and nice looking pump installation! Solar pumping is a great technology!
Is there a reason that you left the pump casing so high above grade level? All the wells around here use pitless adapters like you installed, but the casing and the cap are only 12" or so above the ground level.

I see online for solar pumps that they usually have a electric cable of like 3 meters (10 ft). I guess it is just making an extension myself and if the water levels rise, so will the pump or how would I do there will the cord extension? Shouldnt be under water I mean.

I cannot speak for other solar pump brands, but our API pumps come with 100FT of pump wire built into the pump. So no additional purchases are necessary or underwater splicing. For more information on our solar pumps check out our website: solarpumps.com/products/solar-pumps

Nice job except for using Channel Locks when a wrench should be used. Why booger up your work?

    • @JimYeats

Way to be that guy who has to be negative from the comfort of your computer chair. It's PVC pipe man, it always looks scratched and boogered up when you use a metal tool to snug it down. Channel locks universally work on it because of all the different fitting types.

how damn hard is it for you people to make a video with sound that isn't 60% wind noise ? ? ? At least you speak English . And you did give a good bit of information . But this is the 5th time to come back to finish this video . No one else is capable of producing a DECENT video either I guess . Im still giving you a thumbs DOWN .
