"THE BREATH OF TIME. The tuna factory in Bonagia Valderice and the Muciara Short Film Festival" is a path that will lead us to take a closer look at Agro Ericino, in search of places that can tell all the history and extraordinary beauty of this area of ​​Sicily. We will focus on the Bonagia di Valderice trap, which since the Middle Ages has represented one of the cornerstones of the work activities carried out between Monte Cofano and Monte San Giuliano, but also on the Muciara Short Film Festival, an international contest that took place for the first time. within the walls of the Bonagia trap, during the Summer 2021.
The full documentary will be posted on our TH-cam channel and website by the end of March 2022.
We sincerely thank the Municipality of Valderice for their patronage, the Bonagia Eventi & Promotion association, the APS Tonnaroti di Bonagia ETS, together with Gaspare Gulotta, Giacomo Caltagirone and Rosario Solina, without whose help we would not have been able to carry out this work.
The documentary will include Pio Solina (boat leader of the last rais of the tonnara), Giuseppe Pantè (Director of the Tonnara di Bonagia resort) and Vito Sugameli (Artistic director of the Muciara Short Film Festival and director of Silenzio in Sala and Piano9 Produzioni).
