Well since I turned 30 this past April I see this song as a passage of wisdom, to yourself but to other people who struggle, whether they are your age or younger. I feel like Kihyun is embracing the end of his Youth, as society sees it, and turning a new leaf to his own idea of what that word truly means to him. Feeling young in your heart, wanting to still do things you used to do without being so anxious or worried, now is your time to live your life to the fullest because you know you are doing amazing. You always did. Maybe inside the lyrics is hidden a bittersweet goodbye, but one that won't last for long, at least that's how I am seeing this release. He spoke to me with those lyrics and he made me appreciate so many things I didn't know I could appreciate. Such an amazing song, truly!
The first time I watched "Youth", I was so taken by the music and the visuals that my brain didn't comprehend the lyrics fully until the very last line. Then I got choked up and went "wait.. why do I feel like crying? What happened??" then I went back and watched it again. This time fully reading the lyrics and it was wrap. I was an on and off emotional mess for a couple of hours. I don't know if I needed to hear the message in this song or if it was just a little too relatable but it got me.This song and this album is amazing. This coupled with Wonho's "Don't Regret" is just-
