    Thanks for all the effort in filming all the awkward angles of this not-so-easy job.

      So true 👍 I hope it helped. It was a pain. Not going to lie, a lot of the filming is a pain because I do it all myself most of the time 😀 Thanks for commenting.

    Nice walk through. Did you go with an OEM or after market throttle body? I have an S54 as well and will need to replace mine soon.

      Hello, I did purchase it from my local dealership. I know in the US market this gives a 2 year parts and labor warranty if it where to fail. Also since the job is a bit of a pain I thought going OEM would be the safest bet. I hope my video helps when it comes time to replace yours.

    Did you get any fault code readout for the actuator? Was the EML light on? Thanks!

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, Yes the EML light would come on and there was throttle faults intermittently. Often with a key cycle the issue would stop but after a few weeks the symptom was getting more frequent.

      @@AskTheCarExperts were u getting limp mode?

    Did you have to run INPA after?

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No need to run any additional test plans. I would cycle the key on and off with out starting first and then start the engine.

    How did you set the set screw on the actuator? Count threads?

    • @AskTheCarExperts

      If you have to replace the linkage then that would be a good idea.

      Did your actuator come preset? Ig it could also be called a stop screw its the tiny allen on the actuator.

    What was the reason for replacement? Fault code 107?

    • @AskTheCarExperts
      @AskTheCarExperts  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The issue was throttle position faults. At first it was intermittent then turned permanent.
