Home of Italian firewater Grappa and the Bridge of the Alps by Palladio. One of the true hidden gems of Europe and a fun day trip from Venice, Vicenza or Trento. But worth an overnight stay for the fun atmosphere.
What to see and do in Bassano del Grappa, Italy.

Be there in a week and honestly you have the best Bassano video even though its old, would love if you did another one
Very interesting! Especially to me. I have traced one of my multi-great-grand fathers to this area. Anthony Bassano, born in Veneto in 1515.
we must be cousins Antonio Bassano is my 10th ggf
salute my ancestors of the lanier line in my ancestry are the spain jewish descent bassano!
my 13th great grandfather is
antonio bassano
my 15th is anthony bassano
my 17th is
Antonio de Jeronimo da Bassano
apparently
@@I_Wish_I_Was_Home I made a mistake and he is not my ancestor after all :o
@@leelewis926 well he is mine apparently!
Another great video, thanks Wolter :)
Mark, it's not "Bridge of the Alps" !!! The bridge is named after the "Alpini" or "Alpine troops", a branch of Italian army trained for mountain battlefield operations.
Bella la nostra Bassano!!!
You should do a "top hidden gem towns" video for Italy and other countries! I would like to visit smaller towns outside just the big tourist attractions next year
The name Bassano del Grappa comes from Mount Grappa and not from firewater!
noi altri Bassanesi semo forti👍👍
Complimenti per l'interessamento
nice video!
Bassano sei tu?
....and the name of the City comes from Mount Grappa, the mountain overlooking the city, not from the firewater !... Please have this video edited or removed
yes you don't know Good bassano
my Lanier line goes back to a Jewish Spain descent Bassano family
who came from a Jewish Family in Spain, changed to Christianity
after coming to Bassano del Grappa
changed to the place name Bassano
then moved to England
many many years later
married into Lanier family
LOL! "Alpini" doesn't means "Alps"! "Alpini" are the Soldiers of the Italian Alps! And it's the name of the liquor which derives from the name of the place!
it's not Venéto either
😄😄
