- This is a review of the little HM11 Bluetooth speaker and MP3 player which can also be used to answer calls from your cell phone.
It wants to be a radio when it grows up & you can actually make this happen as I explain in the video. Lots of fun in a little package.
Many thanks for stopping by and if you enjoyed this please check out my channel for lots more to enjoy!

Thank you. I couldn't play the USB drive but after watching your video, I got it right. It worked. 💐💐
Hi, thanks for the feedback, really pleased it helped you out 👍
Gave the impression can be a radio on its own.
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Indeed, that’s why I say on the thumbnail ‘it’s not what you think’.
They have made a MP3 Bluetooth speaker that at first glance, that as you observed, looks like a miniature radio. However, for the size it has a good sound and you could us it as a pseudo radio by playing radio stations that are on the internet over Bluetooth.
Double tap the center button for fm mode
Hi, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately I gave mine away as a present so I can't check this feature. However, I have looked at the same item on Ali Express again and there is no apparent reference to it having an FM mode in write up or any form of external FM aerial that I can see, (unless it's internal?). The only thing I can think of is maybe this is a feature that they have added recently after mine was purchased - really intrigued about this.
@@TheWobblyCameraGuyI got this hm11 speaker from my mom while visiting she got it from thrift store it’s fun little speaker I connect it to my tv and watch some shows with it.
I didn’t even know about the fm mode I tried on mine and it says fm mode when play pause button is double tapped. I don’t know if I’m missing an antenna or what I only received speaker itself from my mom but it’s just static in fm mode even when using skip buttons to try to change stations. (Mine looks different from the one in video but very similar)
@@osh6767 Hi, thanks for your feedback. When reviewing this little speaker, there was no reference in the instructions or write-up about it having an FM mode. My guess is that the processor chip/pcb board assembly that the manufacturers have used is a generic off-the-shelf item that has this facility as standard even though they are not actually taking advantage of it and hence, no obvious aerial and the static on reception. Unfortunately, I no longer have mine or I would be tempted to take it apart to see what the chip is and find out if there is a point on the PCB for the connection of a wire aerial?
It worked. 😂❤️
@@TheWobblyCameraGuy yeah mine has fm mode but it doesnt seem to be able to pick up any radio stations
I plug it but still not charging why
Hi, thanks for getting in touch. The lack of charging could be down to several reasons, but the most probable is a break within your charging lead. If you have a spare lead, I would suggest you try that first and see if it starts to charge.
Same i tried multiple cables but it still not charging did you manage to get yours work?
@@Yoruneii Hi, sorry to hear a few of you are having problems with re-charging this little media player. Other than the leads, have you tried powering it off, leave a few minutes and then powering back up and seeing if that enables you to charge? If not, other than taking it apart to look for a dry solder joint or broken wire, then it may be worth getting in touch with the suppliers as its possible that a batch of these were released with a faulty charging circuit. Worth a try?
Im not sure why I can on mine but I cant off it
Hi, unfortunately I no longer have my HM11 (niece has it now) so I can't try this FM feature for myself. Could any TH-camrs advise Steven please?
Same problem found a solution?

Hi, not sure if your problem is with charging or trying to use the ‘hidden’ FM radio but a read through the comments from fellow TH-camrs may be of help?
@@TheWobblyCameraGuy I just left the battery to die it fixed it now I’m listening to the radio.
@@losergamer5606 Hey that's good to hear. Maybe the battery needed to go through a full discharge-charge cycle? Thanks for sharing this 👍
