In the 70's I sat in on Linda's jam in Tucson... did some picking and singing with her...back before my throat operations... Linda came over hugged me and a kiss thanked me... she was so tiny and beautiful!
I saw her at the Minus One in the 60s several times. She was already big with Different Drum and the Stone Poneys (and Bobby Kimmel came to Tucson with her so we got to hear him as well - I hear he is STILL knocking around and performing!). She was stunning AND her voice was beyond compare. Best Ever in my book. I saw her on stage in Pirates of Penzance (in New York before it was transferred to film) and she was amazing then as well... Exactly, I don't know where some of these people coming from; Linda certainly did her share of 'loud' singing, call it shouting, screeching whatever. When she wanted to go mellow, I believe she was one of the best ever - not so much at red zone voice. Carrie can too (go mellow) - but she sells alot of songs the way she's doing.

In the early 80s, I saw Linda at the Exit In in Nashville. It was a small room and I sat right in front of her. She sang Long Long Time right to me. I thought I would pass out. Never, before nor after, had that loving sensation at a concert.
I grew up in Tucson in the 60s and knew several of her brothers when we were in high school. She was already in LA with the Stone Poneys but she came back several times in the late 60s and did concerts at our local coffee house (The Minus One). Very lovely, but it took 3 voices to try and capture the magic that is Linda and as good as they are in their own right they didn't come close. Linda's voice is a once in a lifetime gift and we are so lucky to have lived in the time of Linda Ronstadt. I first heard her as a young girl singing Blue Bayou and You're No Good in the 70's. Carrie has a naturally powerful voice. I think this performance could’ve been better if sound technicians lowered the volume of Carrie’s mic, or if Carrie sang her parts with some distance from the microphone. Just my thoughts. The performance is still great though. I’m actually here because of Carrie Underwood.❤️
Linda Ronstadt, I'll never get over. She's one beautiful lady with that incredible singing voice that'll last a liftime. Love you Linda, my idol for all time.
Their singing voices may not be in Linda's universe(really whose is?)but they give testament to how rare and deep the love for Ronstadt is. She was a very generous songbird, especially to other musical gals.
She did a tribute to her Mexican heritage. Canciones de mi Padres (Songs of my father) It was on PBS in the late 80s. It was beautiful! Her voice, the songs. There's a CD as well. I loved it! All her music is great. There's no one like her.

We all age, and voice does too. It's very unfortunate, but it does. Linda wouldn't make it either if she was able to sing.
Yeah it took all 3 and they still couldn't do it
I agree.
"It's so easy to fall in Love.."
We still love you Linda. Thanks to these wonderful Lady Rockers whom I love so much , you came back into our life once again .. 🥰♥️😍
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋☺️☺️
Three of the very best pay tribute to one of the GOATs in American music, Linda Ronstadt .... whose range and timbre were unmatched, tho approximated
Super outstanding, which of her songs is your best?
Carrie has a naturally powerful voice. I think this performance could’ve been better if sound technicians lowered the volume of Carrie’s mic, or if Carrie sang her parts with some distance from the microphone. Just my thoughts. The performance is still great though. I’m actually here because of Carrie Underwood.❤️
I agree she was too loud while the other 2 were more laid back
I agree. I am a fan but didn’t care for her voice being so loud. Bonnie and Emmylou were harmonizing and it sounded like Carrie was screaming.
Agreed! She is such a showboat 🙄
She is my favorite singer for all times. I love Linda Rondstadt.
Linda Ronstadt, I'll never get over. She's one beautiful lady with that incredible singing voice that'll last a liftime. Love you Linda, my idol for all time.
God Bless Her
Their singing voices may not be in Linda's universe(really whose is?)but they give testament to how rare and deep the love for Ronstadt is. She was a very generous songbird, especially to other musical gals.
What a nice tribute to a good friend, love all you girls! Thank you from all of us out there!
That was wonderful.. Thank you ladies! God Bless you..God Bless you Linda...and God Bless America!❤🇺🇸🇺🇸
Still listening in 2023 - and loving this awesome music
Spectacular rendition of one of my all time favorite songs. Well done ladies!
Great song brings back remember memories of my beautiful wife forever love always tears from heart xxxxxxxxxx
She did a tribute to her Mexican heritage. Canciones de mi Padres (Songs of my father) It was on PBS in the late 80s. It was beautiful! Her voice, the songs. There's a CD as well. I loved it! All her music is great. There's no one like her.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this day. Did you get to attend any live concerts hers?
perfect tune to honor the award for sure... most artists might get 1 ..maybe 2 other artists to sing for an inductee... rightly so Linda Ronstadt has earned 3 entertainment stars to sing her into the hall..this is perfect
It so good to see such a collaboration between great singers. Linda was one of my favorites growing up. It is a beautiful tribute to her that should have been done long time ago.
Happiness is when listen to good music , what you sing aloud while you sing , and what you do are in harmony. Did you get a chance to enjoy this gems performances live?

I was always happy in my thoughts about the times I was in when I would hear her sing any song anywhere to bad the radio stations don't play it more like right now but I have it
Thank you for your reply it really touched my heart and God bless you and your family
Always loved Linda"s voice. Earthy, warm, powerful, expressive. She had a voice like no other, unique, one of a kind, like #Whitney, #Barbra, #KarenCarpenter #Aretha #Donna.
She is just too wonderful
Bonnie and Emmy Lou are magnificent
I love all three of these women and they are powerhouse singers. And all three of them still couldn't touch Linda.
Linda's song, she sang it so well, fair play girls for singing this homage to Linda
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this day. Did you get to attend any live event of hers?
It takes a trio to do what Ms. Ronstadt can do all by herself.
Linda had back up in that song. Also, these three either worked with her or were inspired by her. They aren't competing with her here...they're honoring her.
I thought that too but they still didn't succeed !

You're free to hate it, but i choose to appreciate the meaning of the performance.
Carrie Underwood is out if her league.
This was a heartfelt tribute to Linda Ronstadt
Sending love right back did you attend any concert?
They all have very unique and wonderful voices. I personally think Carrie's voice is awesome
Bonnie's voice gets me every time ♥️
Me too. Bonnie should have started the song off.
I'd love to see hear her do a studio version of this song
Such a nice tribute for LINDA the girls a doing a pretty good job and be thankful
Ah...Bonnie...She melts my heart
Linda's a tough act to follow. but having Linda's good friend & fellow singer Emy with Bonnie Raitt makes it a special tribute. Great job girls !
it may be Roy Orbison's song but nobody sings it like Linda Ronstadt! What a wonderful tribute to Linda. She may not be able to sing anymore due to illness but her music will love on. Love you Ms Ronstadt!
What kind of illness does she have?
@@charlespitts4698 Linda has Parkinsons diseases - one of the hundred or more variaitions of Dementia. I bet she can still sing better than anyone but she is so self-critical she wont allow herself to be heard singing because she thinks its not good enough.
Right on, Erica! I fell in love when first l heard her, in the Stone Ponies.."Different Drum", l believe..lovely Linda..
Marvellous interpretation.
Linda had a beautiful voice. Very raspy and absolutely gorgeous.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this day. Did you get to attend any live concerts hers?
❤️❤️❤️ Florence Oct 2020 - Absolutely Beautiful
Bonnie is ALWAYS professional. No attempt to over sing or out shine another singer.
My first concert. Linda opened for the Eagles in the King Dome Seattle. I cried.
Sending you love, happiness, and joy on this day. Did you get to attend any live concerts hers?
Emmylou gets more beautiful every year.
However............she's obviously done singing.
I remember a magazine article once dubbed her “eternally sexy”!
@@KarlBAndersen Far from it.
Exactly what I thought, i.e. Charlie's comment - Emmylou gets more beautiful every year. I just shared this post on facebook and my comment was "That's Emmylou in the middle: gorgeous forever'. And I love her singing too. Old is good. Old has flavour.
She wears her age gorgeously
Great tribute, these lovely and talented ladies were awesome. Give some respect to Waddy playing guitar in the backround, he was with Linda for so many years. Great guitarist and backround singer !

I love Linda Ronstadt forever.
Kudos to every single one of these ladies. Great Job! I dang sure can't do it. With that said Linda owns this song and she did it all by herself! Linda Ronstadt, though we've never met I've loved you since I was just a (scared) little girl. Can't say "I knew you when". So I hope to meet you up above, because I know it won't happen here. let's just say , I hope I know it "If you're ever near". "Hasten down the Wind" and hold the Fort down til it's time. Peace and so much love - kimie
the 3 ladies did their part very well.
Super outstanding, which of her songs is your best?
@@taranaburke4707 You can't treat the wrong man right!
@@BrentMFisher me too I so much love that song, now I have to think straight so I don’t make another mistake
...thank you Linda...carried me through...
Two great divas and an old great soul - Carrie ❤
perfect chorus!!!
Linda Ronstadt is still an amazing singer;) Love you gurl!
She has Parkinson's. Her voice is shot.
This makes the hairs on my arms stand up. Absolute perfection!
Brought a tear to my eye. Such harmony👍💙😥😁

I saw Linda at DAR Constitution Hall in 1975. I’ll never forget that night. My daughter took me to see EmmieLou a few years ago. Middle of the 8th row and another marvelous night . I can’t hear Linda’s music now without tearing up.
Emmylou Harris, still the most beautiful chick in the house. I'm 59 and still in love. Great video.
A wonderful tribute, so beautifully sung, and yet it can't conceal the heartbreak...
Absolutely brilliantly sung..beautiful..thank you ladies
👏🏼👏🏼♥️
How are you doing 😊😊😊👋☺️
Great song executed by great Artists
