Mine are delicious and almost golf ball size. Will they continue to grow? But they are falling over. Did I not put the seeds in deep enough? You can actually see the ball at the base exposed.

They are edible at any stage, but smaller=younger are sweeter

where to buy in the USA? Do you sell them?

I have never purchased them in the US, however I found this: www.harrisseeds.com/collections/onion-sets?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw2ou2BhCCARIsANAwM2HCva50xo0jFp95y_Cl4RCO_boOcElze4D2SX7kPTD-PQ34FH0DNzQaAoEaEALw_wcB These are seeds. I usually grow from seed, but you may be able to find starts somewhere else. Check the garden shops.

Interesting. Can you explain overwinter bunching onions. I'm new to planting these.

Hi, sorry for the delay. Overwintering means that you have a "real" winter, with snow, and the vegetables sleep under the snow, or a shelter, until it warms up and the snow melts and then they carry on growing.

I watched one videos that said to extend the white part more than just a few inches, you need to mound the plant? Have you encountered this? I bought Ishikura Long Winter seeds.

Good question. One thing I am trying to be aware of is the growing conditions on my beds. Japan is water-rich so barely scratching the surface is ample. In a dryer climate deeper may be better.

We dont get bunching onions like that . Only seeds. Video no help

I understand, in Japan we are also limited access. If you can get any "green onion" seeds, plant them in late summer in bunches then transplant the bunches in much the same way as the video.
