This was wonderful. I've found in my own life that there was SO much noise, clatter and distraction. When I'm silent and still, all the 'gunk' inside me that keeps me from the presence of God, is seen as it is. Sometimes uncomfortable, but always profitably.
Thank you so much for this Father

It is horrible being stuck without other people or drink. Anger is everywhere inside. Thank you very much for this...

Christ is risen! My dear Tom, I find it even more painful to have to rely on things that pass away (anything of this world) in order to find peace and clarity of soul. This world is made of the same dust we are - nothing eternal can grow out of this dust, we must look somewhere else, somewhere outside what is created. But this is a struggle, and one that no one (with any trace of honesty) can claim is easy. The journey to Light often takes one through the darkest of deaths, and often it is there, ion the midst of that death, that Life truly begins - many poets and artists understood this better than we realise. You have little roots in my heart, dear Tom, and I shall use them to pray for you, as weak as my prayer is.

Thank you father. I am very grateful for the green shoots of prayers. I know the theory of life beginning in death (I think) but I find it very difficult to view it clearly as so many things get in the way. Even in a time like this (especially in a time like this?) Anyway, thanks again for your prayers and for your content, and best wishes for your monastery.

Than you, my brother. You and the monastery are in my prayers. As I type it’s a beautiful sunny early morning here in South London. I love Mull - a beautiful island. Each Christian home can be a little like a monastery.

I love your icons looking out the windows. Terrific idea. Can you imagine seeing that as you drive or walk through cities?

αvαστασισ my friend you have really hit the nail on the head. Sometimes I just crave this kind of solitude. To pray to appreciate nature to be with God. Thank you so much ➕☦️💙💗💕🙏

What I am looking for. Silence and solitude. Ppl have become increasingly noisy. Just noise for the sake of noise. One cannot pray, focus, think.

Christ is risen! I have finally learnt how to see and respond to comments, dear one 😊 It took me about three weeks, but I eventually got it. Please keep praying and please keep supporting the Monastery in any way - this year and the next one will be very difficult for everyone, including us. But, by the grace of God and with a bit of extra work and courage to do things we had never imagined we really would be doing (such as these videos), we hope to be alright. Subscribe and share - this is our new approach ☺️ I is miss everyone, please give them my love in Christ.

    Fr. Serafim,
Glory to Jesus Christ! Things seem better. I’m actually getting better! Temptations are leaving. I’m holy now.
Kidding. Total joke. I’m certainly not.
And I’ve felt a lot of anger
It’s gotten better. ;) father seraphim
    God bless

We do nothing, dear Marie. At least, I know that I do nothing. Christ alone is Light and He alone is the One who does all good things. You and I, and all of us, are like children (rather naughty and unaware) following their Creator to the best of our ability. Thank you for your kind words, though. They give us a bit of hope. Christ is risen, dear one!

I find nothing "Horrible", about silence, and nearly complete solitude. Anyone who comes from South London, has a very good chance of understanding why this landscape contrasts highly favourably.
At 54, I feel I'm suitable in many ways for this life, this perfect preparation for the next, new, real-life.
I see almost nothing in the landscape that isn't truth, that is, Creation; in each atom of the visible material around, almost, is the living evidence of God's existence.

BlessedBe. Question, what is the difference between a ghost an angel or a demon. And how do we know the difference. Thank you and may God bless and keep us.
