I have been feeling bad for myself because i have lost a few more goats than normal during our could spell and snow in North Carolina but while watching your video I felt bad for complaining at all we are praying for you and your farm
Check out wholesome family farm in Minnesota. In bad snow he puts down hay so the goats can have a thermal barrier and also position them so they can take advantage of the wind break, then you dont need a shelter. Good luck
@@nikkityson8170 love those guys!! Jordan and Rachel do a great job with sheep and goats in their climate. I may need to get them down here for a consultation.👍🏻👍🏻😁😁
Your snow was worse than what we got amount the same but we was in the 20s. Colder would have been better as you have found wet and cold equals dead when dealing with baby goats. When I got bit it was rain and in the 20s. Glad to see you have that many left. Did you find any of the studies to speed up the breeding cycles.
@addisonranch that's pretty close to the breed back I get after weaning at 3 months. Have had them cycle fast with the billies still with them by putting a new Billy out with the ones already out. Found that trick on accident. Didn't want the to breed back quite yet got a new Billy and just kicked him out. Nannie's with nursing kids breed within a couple weeks
You are a trooper my friend... hoping all turns better than expected.
@@AlCampbell-y7u thanks for the support
I started feeding range cubes to my goats when it cold. They love them

Good morning. I hope all the babies make it. But we know that is most likely not the case.

@@Andrew-sanders I found one that said 4-6 weeks they should come back in but I suspect that’s during the growing season or on feed.
