Congrats THP! It may not seem like it would be, but dragging a deer from the hind hooves, takes a LOT more energy than pulling them from the front hooves/head. That hide makes for a lot of resistance when you're pulling it against the hair. 3rd shot's a charm!!! haha
That 50yards shot was the best 50 yards shot i've seen for a long time!!!!! Thank you Ted and Ben for this adventure, i can feel the emotion trough your videos because there is no pronghorn here in Quebec Canada!!! Stay real, stay focus and long lufe to THP!!! Salutation.
That was pretty cool boys! In today's Ben the builder episode... mud blinds. Ted don't need no monster, meat is meat...and he was hungry for pronghorn! Thanks for sharing real hunting. Can't wait to see what's next.
Ted you have got to be the luckies sob I've ever seen. 9/10 that shot doesn't connect let alone hit where you want it to. The doe literally ducked the arrow then came back up level just in time to take a direct hit 🎯 to the pumpstation. Killer shot Teddy congrats buddy
Good job Ted! And good job Ben on the videoing. Can’t wait to see more of this duo this season. Don’t hang your head on the missed shots, you still sealed the deal and no prong horn were injured at all in the misses. Congratulations man! Got me jacked for our whitetail opener in a few weeks in Ohio!
See this is why I like Ted. I like all T.H.P. Ted I feel is most like the average Hunter out there. He's not afraid to send it. Awesome hunt Fellas and really cool ingenuity with the Mudblind. Thanks!
Bubba you got no idear what your talkin about lol. Grant and Zach were huntin on the move Stalkin up on Pronghorn feeding and bedded down; Ted is huntin a watering hole waitin for them to come to him. Not to mention; on the last day of Grant and Zach’s hunt; they stalked within 32 yards of a bedded Buck and waited damn near half an hour within 30 yards of the buck waitin for him to stand up; when a farmer on his tractor spooked the buck. Also, if I’m not mistaken Grant and Zach hunted for 7 days not 3 lmfao. But hell I want whatever Your smokin Feller cause you got that good shit that makes you go fully Clueless 😂😂🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤣🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
@@Ramzey44 my point there “feller” Zach and grant did countless stalks walking miles and miles everyday. Ok maybe they got literally 1 chance out of an entire week of hunting. Ted goes in gets and multiple chances very quickly. And I know they hunted for a week but they put out 3 videos. Sorry I watched 3 videos. I retract my statement lol they hunted for a WEEK and only had 1 opportunity. This hunting style makes way more sense of your hunting PRONGHORN…too me anyway. Considering they are a lot harder to hunt just stalking. Even tho Ted missed twice he still made it look easier compared to them. AGAIN TWO DIFFERENT STYLES OF HUNTING let me clear. So I think I do have an “idear”😂 of what I’m talking about.
@@Topflight44 If they were hunting to survive they wouldn't have chose to hunt the way they did. They chose to stalk because it is fun and you can learn a lot from your mistakes... killing an antelope would have been a bonus for them.

Ben is handy to have around and appears to be ready to do what is needed. Ted, got to start somewhere. Now the next time you draw on a buck, don’t look at the horns, just relax like it is just another animal for the freezer. Blessings to you and have fun
Congrats on the pronghorn! Shoot what makes you happy! Excellent mud blind build! You're getting a good bit of vibration/noise from the bow, but dead is dead!
Congratulations Ted! That was a great shot, and your approach of building the mud blind was a great way to adapt to the situation you had to work with. Those things are expert string jumpers, so don’t feel bad about the “misses!” Some people might try to tell you that antelope don’t jump fences, but I nabbed a buck right after he jumped two fences. They are out there, but there sure are a lot that duck under. Looking forward to seeing what the rest of your season has in store! Be safe and have fun fellas
This is why I don’t shoot excessively heavy arrows! These pronghorn had time to move to the next unit by the time the arrow arrived😳lol. There is definitely a trade off. I like the middle ground
Totally agree!! Plus, I don’t know if you noticed or not but it wasn’t like he got amazing penetration either. Result…. Dead doe. But dang it took forever for the arrow to get there and I got to think the other misses could’ve been caused because of miscalculated yardage. Too much drop in those heavy arrows! 1 yard off is a 3” miss or more at that distance! But congrats on the kill! Love the videos!!! Heavy arrows or not I’ll keep watching!! The mud hut was cool
@@TheHuntingPublic cool! Would love to know the speed, weight and poundage he was shooting with that setup. I watched the setup video from a few weeks ago but it doesn’t give his speed. I’m guessing with Teds draw length and the weight he was shooting the bow is probably around 240 fps. Congrats again on the kill!
@@TheHuntingPublic there are a few guys trolling this video who feel pretty stupid after you reveal he's shooting a lighter setup. Just from watching the vid and the way that doe is favoring her offside leg before she goes down I'd say that Ser Razor hit the offside shoulder pretty hard and did a fine job even at 50 yards.
Great job, and I like seeing that the goal was to get one down, not to insist on a trophy for the wall. NOTHING is better than fresh pronghorn backstrap, it's amazing!
We had a property lease in Montgomery Co. Mo. for years and I can't tell you how many times I would spend my weekends on that property by myself and how many back strap meals I ate by myself. Good Times!
FYI. A pronghorn is a very curious animal. Get a flag and wave it back and forth. Eventually the pronghorn will walk to within 20 yards as long as you do make sudden movements. Pronghorn will not jump over a barbed wire fence. They will go under it every time. If a pronghorn is running beside your vehicle be careful. They will try and out run you and will attempt to pass you directly in front of your vehicle every time. Slow down and allow them to win the race.
Way to go Ted and Ben. Way to think outside the box 📦 and make a natural blind out of mud. You didn’t have to suffer in those sweat box blinds to get it done. #MakeKillingDoePronghornGreatAgain
Not sure if anyone else noticed. but when Ted draws @9:50 you can see his peep is rotated sideways. Might want to get an aligner Ted, or get in the habit of rotating when shooting and when hunting and the like. Center your scope inside the peep and it'll definitely help you. Poor peep alignment/rotation is a huge cause of an inconsistent anchor point and poor/inconsistent sight alignment. Just FYI. Hope that helps man. Great video
