    Tennis needs to bring more of these viewing angles to the coverage. It would be good for the sport

      Standard for some televised 70's tournaments. If it wasn't court level it was slightly higher than court not at the height it is now where no perspective of spin and height above net is given.

      I hate the switch of the POV just at the point of the serve. Keep the angle for the complete shot.

    Man with this angle you really get to see just how stunning the pro's footwork is, unbelieavable court coverage.
    Kudos to you for putting up this compilation :)

    Thanks so much for the videos! With no doubt tennis should be transmitted more often in this angles! It gives us a total different view of the game regarding players movement, tactics, speed and pace of the shots, why did the player make that shot and not a differente one... it´s great!

    0:52 is the ideal camera angle for tennis. Enough space to see everything without having to pan the camera constantly, but still court level and able to appreciate and "feel" the tennis.

    i love this. these guys are sooo good. sidenote: delpo has such a weird forehand to me, it looks like he's going to be late almost every time, but he isn't and just thumps the crap out of it.

    • @RogerThatTennis
      @RogerThatTennis  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's like a hammer Allen haha

    • @mantaiscool
      @mantaiscool 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually it´s not the movement before or after the contact witch counts so much, its more the way and point of contact, just look at Gulbis

    • @allenrodgers1577
      @allenrodgers1577 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      misko misko I don’t understand what you mean in relation to my comment, I understand theoretically everything before and after the point of contact really doesn’t matter because the ball is on the string bed for a millisecond, and that Gulbis has unorthodox stroke mechanics (I’d also argue he’s the very reason why before and after does matter, because the point of technique is so you can replicate it) but what I’m saying is that Delpo looks like he is going to make contact late, but somehow he superhumanly accelerates through contact with his hips shoulders and wrist at the last possible millisecond and meets the ball out in front. It’s crazy.

    • @mantaiscool
      @mantaiscool 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@allenrodgers1577 one point considering the forehand of Delpo is surely his height, being 2 meters tall gives him a huge lever to generate a lot of power , so being almost late or actually late doesn´t effect him much

  • @natekunnen7021
    @natekunnen7021 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Look at how high the ball goes over the net! For you players out there pros average about 5 ft above the net. Hardly slaps. Targets are small and elevated

    it´s a shame that Berdych never won a grand slam, a typical hard hitter, fast flat and precise forehand, a solid backhand, powerful serve, very athletic and top physical predisposition and constitution

      Watch the slow mo...When fed returns he starts to move his feet a little and even moving into the court. He reads the serve is going into the middle and shift his weight and movement slightly that way. When Ishner fires the cannon, his eyes can pick it up as his body is moving into it and simply blocks it back.
