My grandfather was the Port Conservator at Malpe Port, and the director of this movie, Sir Bhagwan, came to ask permission from my grandfather to shoot a song on the bank of the river in Kemmannu and St. Marie's Island near Udupi, Karnataka. They also did the shooting on St. Mary's Island. At that time, my mother, her elder sister, and my grandfather's brother (chikkappa) were at the shooting location from morning till evening, and they had the chance to meet Dr. Rajkumar and Jayamala. They spent a very good time with them. According to my mother, Rajkumar was a very polite and affectionate person. They had their afternoon lunch with Rajkumar and other crew members of the movie. The whole cinema crew took care of my mother and her elder sister for the rest of the day. It was 1977 when my mother and her elder sister were too young. I can't even imagine how lucky they were 😭 We also have that old photo in which my mother and her elder sister were with Rajkumar sir. Dr. Rajkumar sir was the best actor. We all grew up watching his movies 🥺❤️

Trust me it is a smash hit song. So I enquired who the heroine in that song as I fell in love with her. I received the comment that she was Jayamala (whom I never knew till like yesterday). I'm a Telugu guy, so here is how I ended up on this song and fell in love with it. I wanted to know who was the cast in the Telugu song 'Nee meeda naaku' from the movie Rakshasudu Telugu movie. Trust me it is a smash hit song. So I enquired who the heroine in that song as I fell in love with her.
I received the comment that she was Jayamala (whom I never knew till like yesterday). I searched for her in TH-cam and stumbled on this song. Oh my God, she is so pretty and yes she has some great Kannada numbers.
