HOW THE HAMMOND ORGAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED!!! Thanks man, you made my day. PLEASE upload more classical songs on the Hammond organ SOUNDING LIKE THIS.
AS I am a new proud A-100 inheritor, and now technician re-capping the best and installing a 122 kit, I must say as a schooled professional musician, this registration sounds unbelievable. I really enjoy the sound, as I am using the internal A-100's' two 12" speakers and its spring reverb in conjunction with the newly installed 122. I have a 147 amp in my garage. Maybe I should keep it and put it in the 122 cab being offered me. As a doctoral level composer and professional pianist on ships.
Are you kidding? The Hammond organ was devised to take the place of organs in churches and homes in 1934, long before the Leslie arrived 6-7 years later. Don Leslie loved theater organ and his tremulent system did just that- it emulated the tremulent in a theater organ. It was almost happen chance the way the high rotor shimmered the Hammond's higher pitches, giving it's own unique sound and this became known as the Hammond sound. A great sound no doubt, but he achieved his goal on a Gulbransen.
I really enjoyed this, please make more vids! I hope to play like this on my little Hammond M3, I have the optional external reverb speaker that makes a similar sound as if you were in a large room.
nice to hear Bach on a hammond.. U didnt used the pedal solo stops.... can u demonstrate them plz... Also you are using the bass 16 and 8 on the pedals right.. no couplers?
Nice Pictures...Good you and Don could meet up. I made alot of money of his Tube speakers and even some of the solid state junk too. I mostly enjoyed the photo of that black original Hammond A i presume or maybe a BV or something old like that. Looks like my old AV to me....
Will post more videos soon...or not so soon...but will do my best to get more up. However this organ and both leslies sold a month or two ago. I do still have the trek II reverb for my next organ unless someone wants to make me an offer.
The only Hammond John ever played before this one is a Monarch solid state He does not even know what a solo stop on this organ is and if you know about the RT3 solo stops they are ok but they are not going to sound very good unless you get a subwoofer and more room than this... already you can hear the leslies 60 miles away in Denver CO John is a purist and choose the stops corectly ballanced to his standard of what you hear in the room and nothing more. The clarity is pure as a f9 tracker
Hello, I have a question I will buy a Hammond Monarch 1977 church organ (used). Do you thing that will sound like your organ Hammond RT-3 with leslie 122? thank you

Bach so much played on a Hammond.
Lovely job. You achieve that Bach's music sounds wonderfully in a Hammond. I hope to see more of your videos here, and more Bach.
Very religious tone with hammond, I love it!
Bravo! Et Merci! Ça fait du bien à l'âme! ;)
Wonderful! Thanks for upload, I really like Bach organ works on Hammond!
Greetings from Hungary!
I miss my Hammond. I had to sell it when I moved from a house into a trailer. I had had it for 30+ years.
Very good!!!

@lesliekeepsonspinin SO WRONG, the hammond organ was made to emulate the pipe organ.
Glad you enjoy...
BWV 582 would sound great on this thing & Pipe Organists would be able to practice at home.
tengo un organo igual. agradezco mas videos. gracias
