The only reason I like phantom buff is not phantom buff itself, but rather the skins we will get out of it. People will start using it more so more people will want phantoms skins. Now we will get actually cool phantoms that doesnt sound like ass (seriously vandal sfx sounds so good and it changes so much from the base skin)
If anyone else is confused on the explaining in this video, let me clear a bit of the mistakes up, 1:05, this is definitely a game changer but he’s explaining it weird, every shield blocks 100% of ITS HEALTH, but heavy shield and light shield let a certain percentage of damage through. Kinda like body armor, the bullet still hits you and deals damage but doesn’t killl you. The new regen shield is like a forcefield blocking 100% of 25 damage and not letting any percentage through. Also the regen shield heals two times meaning it starts with 25, heals to 25 after damaged and does that again. So 75 total shield through intervals 6:37, you can double flash as phoenix if you buy the ability, one flash comes free every round, I think he knows this but he explained it weird 9:58, he says phantom bulet got buffed at every single range, but he misspoke he meant it does 4 extra dmg 20m+ Less than 20m stays at 39dmg to the body I understand it now 👍

W Patch! What I wish for the future is a constant spray pattern for the Vandal. I have no worries with a difficult one - but please make sprays constant like in CS and not totally random. Make them skill based, not luck based. It's impossible to constantly do a nice spray down and actually hit like intended - sometimes you just casually drip drop the headshots on 2 different opps and sometimes you don't hit 20+ bullets on your specific target while pulling the Vandal down and trying an CS alike spraydown.
this is never going to happen, it is very much so on purpose that it becomes random; it encourages more calm and collected bursting and strafing rather than crouch spray. if youre shooting 20+ bullets on your specific target while pulling the vandal down and trying an cs alike spraydown youre not playing the game the way its meant to be played

Having that in valorant would completely change up how fights would look. I would hate if they changed anything in that area, because I've already worked so much on my movement that it would be a bit of a waste to have that over-shadowed by something like this where crouching would become the prevalent way to "move" in gunfights.

Regen shield looks pretty op. Just a much better half armor. Heavy shield is really more useless now except if you know the enemy is really using outlaw or guardian. But people rarely use those
Phantom makes the shield useless compared to heavy at any range where it doesn't one tap which got buffed but still heavy will stop you from dieing at a long distance phantom shot
I think its only good for pistol round. The rest not really. Theres outlaw, phantom, vandal, even 2 shots of guardian which really couldnt make it as viable.
Chamber trap range is ridicilous, i mean let bro watch lurk he only had 1 trap, and 30 seconds is too mutch for trap, 15 or 20 seconds is enough for trap. The way that omen's smoke work now, basically you can only place your smoke (the triangle indicator) on area that player can step on to. You still can place the smoke in certain box like in the spike site, because any agent with traversal ability (jett, raze, etc) can step into that place.
You can still place open smoke anywhere a player model can stand, you can still make 1-ways but a character must be able to stand where you place it in order for it to hold
I was hoping that they'd add the crunching sound when people run on Sage's Slow Orb even if they walk. That's a small quality of life for Sage who doesn't have that much guard ability.

keep in mind sage ult got double buffed, it's not just the ult points but also the fact that when you get revived with regen shield you're able to get your shields back which is huge

I like what they did with the run and gun changes. The spectre and stingers being specialized for run and gun instead is excellent. I feel like they are struggling with the Neon balance because it's more of a chaos issue than anything else. The 100% slide is definitely OP but it's a questionable issue since higher elo can deal with it but it also requires a lot of practice to pull off (for neon users).
Regen shield might start a meta of force buying second rounds to the losing side. I feel like this will happen in the pro scene especially, which is gonna be real interesting
im really happy that theyre nerfing the accuracy while moving. its actually so annoying dying to people who dont want to actually learn to properly aim and just run and gun for luck.
Ngl I want a pixelgun 3d / doom eternal/ ultrakill style valorant where you can category spam and don't lose accuracy while moving ( I know it doesn't work for the current valorant cuz of its machine gun centred ) But it's just exhilarating to rocket through the map and have your movement and extremely quick aiming be the key factors. Valorant scratches a different itch with its more tactical play, but a guy can dream about both combined
Run' gun does take tracking skill to consistently accomplish. Movement error applies in a cone, so as long as the majority of the cone is on target, it is actually pretty likely to hit the target. Also valorant has much more input movement error than momentum movement error, which can lead to confusion about run' gun
Unfortunately the agent part was confirmed as not a leak and rather a test asset. Which is something they use a lot when testing patches. So no agent tease this time.
This is why i dont think regen shield will be THAT op as you know its basically a light shield that heals 25 everytime you take damage assuming all enemy have a vandal and you run away from an enemy before taking a bullet to the body 25 | 100 (INDICATING HP) 0 | 85 1 bullet 25 | 85 (still takes 3 bullets to kill an enemy)(adds up to 110) 0 | 70 1bullet 25 | 70 (adds up to 85) (can take 3 bullets) This is the last regen shield and only then does the shield really matter assuming you can even escape from the enemies while only getting a bullet to your body
its basically good for chip damage. if you only get hit by one of the small nades on raze you'll still be at max light shields etc and it can last quite a few rounds
I'm afraid of the consequences the regen shield might bring, especially for pistol rounds. I've heard from multiple people that it has the potential to "ruin" the game and I can see why they would think that. I'm hopeful it doesn't turn out as bad as they make it out to be, but I'm still not sure why Riot even thought of coming up with a new shield type, instead of actually buffing the heavy shield (no aim-punch for example". But I'm gonna abuse the hell out of the Phantom change. They might buff the Vandal as a response, if everybody starts playing only Phantom now though xD
I feel like telling people when smoke are Gona disappear removes the skill part out of it, I mean I died a lot of time for enemy smoke disappearing the wrong moment but still, when I hide in my smoke as a brimstone main I fell really good when I just know in my bones when smokes are about to go down and i can resmoke the exact second it happens

when it comes to omen, i think these nerfs will encourage a flexinja game style which is one of the most fun ways of playing omen so i really cant complain.

According to what I understood from the patch notes, omen now can only place smokes in places he himself can stand on, so some smokes that were placed in glitch zones can still be used
idk if im the only one to think abt this phoenix buff but WHY did they have to swap the location of the spell on the HUD, just keep them where they should be, just thinking about having to use flash with another bind feels so wrong , same goes for the molly

@@thadark I think you can change binds for abilities per agent so it's okay. Just going to need to adjust on visual memory of the ability charges. What I'd like to change is his Ult, I hope they let us cancel it on our own just to avoid getting outplayed, let's say, on a 1v1 situation.
keep in mind sage ult got double buffed, it's not just the ult points but also the fact that when you get revived with regen shield you're able to get your shields back which is huge

no, he just means regen shield absorb 100% of damage UNTIL it runs out, rather than normal shields that split the damage 66% to normal shields, 33% to health.

I like what they did with the run and gun changes. The spectre and stingers being specialized for run and gun instead is excellent.
I feel like they are struggling with the Neon balance because it's more of a chaos issue than anything else. The 100% slide is definitely OP but it's a questionable issue since higher elo can deal with it but it also requires a lot of practice to pull off (for neon users).
regen sheild should just be an ability on iso instead
Regen shield might start a meta of force buying second rounds to the losing side. I feel like this will happen in the pro scene especially, which is gonna be real interesting
im really happy that theyre nerfing the accuracy while moving. its actually so annoying dying to people who dont want to actually learn to properly aim and just run and gun for luck.
Ngl I want a pixelgun 3d / doom eternal/ ultrakill style valorant where you can category spam and don't lose accuracy while moving ( I know it doesn't work for the current valorant cuz of its machine gun centred )
But it's just exhilarating to rocket through the map and have your movement and extremely quick aiming be the key factors.
Valorant scratches a different itch with its more tactical play, but a guy can dream about both combined
Run' gun does take tracking skill to consistently accomplish. Movement error applies in a cone, so as long as the majority of the cone is on target, it is actually pretty likely to hit the target.
Also valorant has much more input movement error than momentum movement error, which can lead to confusion about run' gun

I was just in a game it was horrible. Got killed by people running around with vandals across the map and head tapping me.
then they buff the phantom.. which is the most no skill gun to ever exist.
Unfortunately the agent part was confirmed as not a leak and rather a test asset. Which is something they use a lot when testing patches. So no agent tease this time.
This is why i dont think regen shield will be THAT op
as you know its basically a light shield that heals 25 everytime you take damage
assuming all enemy have a vandal and you run away from an enemy before taking a bullet to the body
25 | 100 (INDICATING HP)
0 | 85 1 bullet
25 | 85 (still takes 3 bullets to kill an enemy)(adds up to 110)
0 | 70 1bullet
25 | 70 (adds up to 85) (can take 3 bullets)
This is the last regen shield and only then does the shield really matter assuming you can even escape from the enemies while only getting a bullet to your body
its basically good for chip damage. if you only get hit by one of the small nades on raze you'll still be at max light shields etc
and it can last quite a few rounds

I'm afraid of the consequences the regen shield might bring, especially for pistol rounds. I've heard from multiple people that it has the potential to "ruin" the game and I can see why they would think that. I'm hopeful it doesn't turn out as bad as they make it out to be, but I'm still not sure why Riot even thought of coming up with a new shield type, instead of actually buffing the heavy shield (no aim-punch for example".
But I'm gonna abuse the hell out of the Phantom change. They might buff the Vandal as a response, if everybody starts playing only Phantom now though xD
i dont think there is any downside to that regen shield (in pistol round). if u buy that shield you can not buy any pistol, and barely any util

The regen shield discourages slower chip based play from Attackers. Along with the Phantom Buff it messes with the Vandal Half Shield Meta
phantom buff was kinda wild seeing how its a short range gun and it got buffed for long range
The new shield is also an indirect phantom buff, so phantom gonna be crazy
I feel like telling people when smoke are Gona disappear removes the skill part out of it, I mean I died a lot of time for enemy smoke disappearing the wrong moment but still, when I hide in my smoke as a brimstone main I fell really good when I just know in my bones when smokes are about to go down and i can resmoke the exact second it happens

That new shield will be really powerful for Iso because Iso also has that same feature but mostly different so he will be 2x shield
i think the new agent will be kingdom related because there is a raze voiceline ("Brimstone, that bracer has access to the Kingdom mainframe, yeah? Just asking for a friend.") I mean almost all are kingdom related lmao
this is great for sage and pheonix, definitely feel like the older agents needed a buff. i'd love to see their agent select screen animations buffed as well.
