Best Shyama performance that I have seen. I am a big fan of Gurudev,s dance dramas specially Shyama and Chitrangada. Out of all the Shyama programs that I have seen this one is the best in all respects. Congratulations.

One of the most popular dance dramas of Ravindranath Tagore. What is interesting is in 1950 when I was a student at Santiniketan, musical programs mostly consisted of either Shyama, Chitrangada, shapmochan or Chandalika etc. in 1971 when I came to USA musicals always had Tagore,s dance drama. Now in 2023 almost 75 years after, it is still popular among Bengali audience. I don’t think anyone will ever dare to write a dance drama in Bengali. Very nice performance.
