Just flew to Manila from the UK 🇬🇧 on a Saudia 787-10. Great flight. Lovely plane. Food was great too for economy class. I'm writing this from Manila Airport now waiting for a connecting flight to Dumaguete. Nice video 👍🏼
Thank you for a lovely review of the El Al business class service aboard the 787 Dreamliner. I totally agree regarding the windows, airlines should allow passengers to see outside the windows during the flight. It's fine for them to request that they be darkened most of the time as a courtesy to fellow passengers and crew, but people should be allowed to take a peek out the windows to see the views, as long as they do so within reason.
That was some super radical bad music! Love love love it so much! Nice sounds. Flying this 787 to Israel later this Fall. Thanks for sharing your flight. Don’t like the lack of control over windows. ☹️
Great video and El Al is a very good airline, but, you pointed out my biggest annoyance with the 787 and that is the cabin crew dictating when you can look out the damn windows. They use it in the daytime on long flights trying to get passengers to sleep, yes Qantas I'm talking about you on the London to Perth route...too many airlines use this feature to try and "sedate" passengers to make their lives easier.
Im flying for the first time to Israel from Miami in business class. Thanks for giving me a preview. Im a little nervous as I dont really like to fly. This looks like it might not be so bad. At least I think I can recline. Thanks again.
You’re welcome! Please let me know if you have any questions about the seat. I can let you know, while I might not have shown it that the seat does recline into a fully flat bed. Definitely a comfortable product to take on that flight!
@@CaptainZacYT oh gosh, Im so glad someone knows what Im doing! Yes, ticket says 787-9. I do have the flight number so Im sure I'll get to the right plane. My son bought the ticket for me. I wonder what time I should be at the Mia airport before departure? Flight goes at noon. Thanks.
@@lyndafbraun The airline has extra security, so I recommend getting there 2 1/2 to 3 hours before for safety. Since you’re in business class, you will have access to the LATAM lounge which is very nice..

This airline is in my to-try-list. Wanted to try this airlines so much. But it's difficult for me to fly on this airline though and not sure if I were allow to fly on a transit route (due to my passport). Thanks for showing us this. :)
Does the King David lounge have employees? For a passenger who needs wheelchair service, if they went to the lounge, is there any way to notify someone when they need wheelchair service back for the flight?
I know they have employees in the actual lounge, and I’m sure someone from the Check-In desk will take you to the lounge. However, I’m not so sure if anyone is there to take you from the lounge to the gate. I would call El Al and ask to see if there is an option to do that. Happy travels!
If you want. I think it’s decently comfortable how it is, but I’d say the headrest is a bit stiff. Just make sure you bring something small enough, so the pillow doesn’t run over the edge of the seat.
The pilot took the entire runway, it seemed. Guess I won’t fly ElAl anytime soon. I need to go to Miami! Please leave the captions a tad longer for us old farts.
My opinion here on the window shade being dimmed. As you mentioned it was a daylight flight. Crew are aware of ultra violet ray from sun...most Dreamliner cruising altitude is 40,000ft. The crew dimmed the window to protect themselves and the passenger from sun exposure. Not pleasant at all for passengers and my opinion is the Crew should be use to this type of work and the risks involved. Passengers are paying big bucks to fly and they should have control over their seat environment including the window. My opinion only. Great video.
The business class seat is fully flat. It was actually very comfortable to sleep in. The food was… Decent. Was it the best food I’ve ever had? No. But for food I have had on an airplane, it’s pretty good.
We checked reviews of business class of El Al, United and American, and we chose to fly the whole family with American Business class between Israel and the US. Friends who tried El Al Business class convinced us to avoid it, so we followed their advice.

He’s specifically pointing out the fact of what the airline is choosing to do. The airline chose to automatically shut the windows the entire flight. Some airlines allow you to adjust them, but some airlines do not.
I am not complaining in this video. I am purely just highlighting the pros and cons. Obviously, I’m grateful to be flying in such an amazing product in an over the top seat that I don’t even need, but I’m comparing this in context to other business class seats, not comparing it to economy. I am also comparing this to the value of money I paid for the seat. Don’t worry, I am not in any way ungrateful or whining. I’m just reviewing.
