You didn't need to buy a pony. If you are UNDERpowered, you can still try to fight the minotaur. I can't remember, but I think you can be underpowered up to 8 power points. (I can get back to you on that). This year, I was underpowered for the first two minotaurs, but I still kept fighting them. You will spend energy if you lose, but it's better to save the coins for better ponies later on in the maze. It can take a while, so don't give up. It may take even up to a dozen tries! BTW, I know you hate watching ads, but you can get up to 90 extra energy per day by watching ads. You will need to watch 9 of them for 10 energy each. But, hey! Free energy, which like I mentioned above, can help you fight the mini-boses or advance in the map. On the main screen, when you click the PLUS on your energy bar, it will take you to the screen to purchase more energy. But, there is a button to watch ads and get free energy.

does anyone know how to earn tokens in the maze dungeon to upgrade your characters with? are there tasks to complete or something? i can only see the option to spend read money 😅
You earn purple coins by unlocking coin shops in the maze. They will produce 30 coins every 3 hours. This is no automatic, you need to login to the game and tap the shops to collect them. You will also earn coins, by defeating minotaurs. So, there is a bit of a strategy on which ponies you want to buy in the helper shops. It's best to try and buy a pony from the helper shop that you actually own. This way they will automatically upgrade and have infinite stamina.
I've been waiting for those magic coins every 3 hours, but it turned from 500 magic coins every 3hours to 24 magic coins every 3 hours😭😭 I don't even know if I can manage to end this event😔

I'm kinda stuck😭 can't buy new ponies to fight with but I'm also unable to beat the current stage
