even if you dont want them drinking brackene, i've found just switching to that in the water cooler is simpler than disabling it. and in the event you start getting brackene, dupes start getting a buff.
FYI. Regarding priorities at 16:20 - auto sweepers will always deliver to supply tasks (refuel generator, feed plants, etc) regardless of priorities of the target vs conveyor receptacle. The priority only applies when compared to other store tasks - e.g. load into storage, conveyor loaders, and similar.
10:27 If an egg falls through the door, it will get swept up by the auto sweepers. You have 100% coverage of all landable tiles within the ranch. The only problem is with live critters falling through the door. Several other commenters have suggested using a critter pick up.

Don't need to click that auto wrangle check any more. The new pickup building just works the way you would expect auto-wrangle to work. (Could just down on the mass migration of critters if you let it do the work.) Seems like the tepidizer could have been put at the back. (have a space in the old design.)

Since the Dreckos produce it as well I think he has a point. If you invest the power needed to keep a drecko ranch hot enough, the Bammoths kind of aren't needed (though they do make a TON of meat)
They're still a net negative on food despite the meat. Their poo is better for clay generation than phosphorite. Nice if you're needing more ceramic. That aside, don't forget the spigot seals to eat the bonbon trees to make the ethanol to feed the squash to feed the bammoth. The tallow from the seals helps make up the net negative.
Hadn't considered the clay side of things that's a good point. Still you're right it's a pretty convoluted production chain albeit one that's fun to tackle.

If you want an extra +1 drecko safety margin in your ranches you can use the critter condo, which adds +1 happiness with no maintenance. You can get up to 9, or have that margin of error. Okay, this is either a stupid question with an obvious answer or a reasonable suggestion: why not make the second dreco ranch a 100% glossy ranch? Glossy drecos make glossy drecos with a higher chance, than regular (they start with 65% as opposed to 2% for regular). You can still dump extra ones to the sheer stain next to the critter modifier.
Autosweepers can put eggs in incubators. Make all eggs drop at the incubators autosweeper fills empty incubator loads extra into loader to send off to critter o matic
In my own game, I've had an idea for a drecko ranch modification where you put the starvation/incubator ranch at the top instead of to the side, and then you make it accessible from the water lock you have at the start. I also would modify the ranch to use airflow tiles on the upper portions between each ranch so you can more easily pressurize the area. The roof can be airflow tiles as well because if you put the starvation up there, it'll be filled with hydrogen for scale regrowth.
The critter transformer is meant to get you the first few species of a new variant to efficiently start to ranch those, not transform masses of critters. I suggest those commenters meant it in that way as well
It would be enough for normal plastic needs, if you're not trying to make all your ladders plastic right away, or do a huge project like a plastic melter.

Each Geo Vent can power continuously between 7 and 8 Steam Turbines : for example 7 at 720W if cooled by pwater, 8 at 850W if cooled by supercoolant. This is incredibly powerfull because you only need 1200 steel and maybe 6000 iron to have one running early game. 24 Steam Turbines equal 20400W minus 3 Aquatuners, this is 16800W of continuous electric power.
If you place the doors 1 tile left instead of the mesh tiles it should workout that dups can’t drop into the farms as well. Of course “life finds a way”.
I guess the next version you could put the dreck doors next to the tile instead of ontop of it so drecks can climb back out when dropped. All the incubators could also be moved up to the top.
To reduce the workload on your ranchers and your fps (seriously) you should start ranching gassy moos. They now produce brackene which can be used with critter fountain to automate the grooming.
It's 9 dreckos at the benning, but after that the rate of a normal drecko will drops a lot and if it's 10% will be 9x10% = 0.9 dreckos so you could have actualy 90 glossy dreckos and with 10% will get your result from now. Glossy dreckos just pass throught building and not consume the delay time to change critters if I'm not wrong.
would love to see you try "my" drecko ranch design at some point, I'm sure other people have done it but I'm quite proud of it. It excells at keeping the dreckos close to the ranching station and using the fact that they won't move through water. I'm not sure how much more efficient it is but it looks neat and without a doubt saves a chunk of time. I am not at all convinced by that drecko farm extension. It's to save an animal being dropped on occasion and causing some momentary problems in a farm by lowering the reproduction of other geckos, but firstly it happens extremely rarely - there's only a few ticks of opportunity, secondly, the solution can easily be automated as they will just wrangle up excess geckos, finally you've got your egg collection rail running right through the ranch rather than the walls which is going to have far more impact over time. I've run a tweaked version of the extension-less setup in dozens of games for a combined thousands of hours and never had the problem of too many geckos ending up in a ranch for long.
small detail you messed up in the glossy drecko shearing room. The upper left shearing station is unreachable by the drecko's as there's no floor/wall connected to it.
Why do you need to run normal dreckos ranches for the glossy drecko eggs? Just run the drecko ranches on glossy dreckos... No need to morph anything... You would have 2% chance to get a normal drecko later...
I am mid game on a similar run (no spaced out) with no care packages, only to find there is no gold anywhere on the map, and none in space. So I can't get supercoolant and the game is over.

He’s going to make a plastic boiler. Basically melt plastic into sour gas then freeze it into methane and reheat it back into natural gas. You build this to counter flow each stage against the next so it becomes very efficient at paying the costs to transfer those temperatures. He’ll burn the natural gas in generators and that’ll produce polluted water he’ll dump to space after using where appropriate. Basically let’s you go from a solid you can make tons of to a gas fuel, of which tons of is A LOT.

the old 2-in-1 critter pick-up/drop-off is better in this case, it will automatically wrangle excess creature if the ranch is filled to the max.

Bammoths produce phosphorite which you need for the floxes. They have a nice synergistic relation with each other

You don't have to worry about them dropping eggs in the pens. You already have sweepers and loaders for the eggs in the pens.

Glossy dreckos eat 1/3 more, and can't eat the free balm lillies.
