If I would have to start again on YT, I just wouldn't waste months to get recognized by couple hundred of people. When I discovered I could trigger organic growth after getting first 1000 subscribers (by using a bit of Fame- ster), my life got significantly easier and my main channel exploded. People are just looking at numbers when searching for content. If you have low number of subs, no one cares about you, even if you have the best content on platform.
