I agree with you about the Censorship. An example that came to my mind was an episode of “Everybody Hates Chris” that was missing in it’s entirety on Hulu (I think the music was changed too!). Another case was few episodes of “The Boondocks” which were completely missing from the line up. Part of what makes movies and shows great is the willingness to push boundaries particularly in comedy! No one person can decide what is funny because not everyone has the same values or thinks the same way.
Great video 😊 In regards to special features I have noticed newer dvds don't come with much anymore usually just the film. Also with too many streaming services it adds up cost wise. Plus you don't own the movies even if you pay for them. As your just paying for the lincease to watch it
when you mentioned the episode of the golden girls with the mud pack remeinded me about that episode of community where chang does the dark elf makeup for the dungeons and dragons episode that is no longer streamed
I agree with all 5. My 6th would be that I can get (usually) a good amount of my money back after I compile a stack of 'duds' on bluray after selling them. In fact, sometimes there is even a profit.
It’s less convenient in some ways. However, you could say it’s more convenient because you don’t need an internet connection. The quality is better and there is no chance of you loosing access due to licensing issues. It’s also nice to have something tangible.
Amen Bro! Totally agree with all your points. I have also found with movies and music my physical media is better quality. Streaming movies always seems to have lots of compression artifacts. My CD and Vinyl LPs definitely sound better than streaming. I have movies and music that I can't find anywhere. New subscriber.
Great video. I agree with all of your points. I would also add the video quality is much better with physical media. I always enjoy finding new channels with people who enjoy collecting as much as me, if not more.
I would collect dvds - the main drawback for me is the room they take up! I've still hung onto my CDs though. Nice video and keep going with your channel 😊
Physical media sales have no doubt taken a dip but you are already seeing a resurgence with all the new upcoming physical media releases of older movies like 'Some Kind of Wonderful' which will be on BD for the first time ever. There are many any others if you bother to look. Physical media for life.
That would be the case for any collectible but it is a good point. That is also why I keep my digital codes and redeem them just in case. I just wish they were more consistent with how you redeem them. More to come very soon on that subject.
That’s why you have insurance it pays for things you have lost 🙄 my Aunt had a small kitchen fire lost almost everything in her kitchen the insurance company came in took pictures made estimates of the things that were damaged or destroyed and than she got a check to replace everything
Reasons of collecting physical media 1- You get to keep it forever and Amazon or anyone else doesn’t have the power to take it from you.... .... .... ..... ......... Need there be any other reasons? In all seriousness, great video man.
Thanks for the support. For some reason when you said "Amazon or anyone else doesn't have the power", I said to myself...Yeah he's right. I HAVE THE POWER (in He-Man's voice inside my head)
I just love collecting in general and will probably never stop until they stop making physical copies
Amen brother

Hellz yea, bro! Physical media till the end! They'll pull my discs from my cold dead hand and NO sooner
Yeah you’re really sticking to the media companies, by buying their products. Lmfao delusional

You only need 1 reason . It's superior to streaming. Period.
You know it!
I like physical media for TV set and movies and for game .

I agree. I have always made a little money when I sell my Dollar Tree titles or other dups. Especially blu rays
@@JEFFMAN316 Good deal!

Yes. All great examples of why physical media is important

I got Labyrinth blu ray as new on ebay for AUD$7.
I very rarely collect special or collectors editions of movies I just want the movie not some poster I'don't have the room for or some postcards etc
Hey. My first video to hit a 1000 views

Thanks for the support and the feedback. I totally agree.
Eventually technology will catch up so quality won't be an issue
But that still relies on a good connection

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I have found some ideas for space that I may mention in a video later. Please consider subscribing.
@@JEFFMAN316 I subscribed to your channel a few weeks ago after watching a detailed horror film review you did 😊 have a good rest of your week!
@@sleepybubbi9638 Awesome. Appreciate the support
@@JEFFMAN316 I have both physical and digital I usally get whatevers cheaper plus I'm planning on making backups of my dvds just in case
I have alot of mine in cd wallet cases. Keeps them safe and saves alot of space

Physical media for life.
Exactly. I jut bought the John Hughes blu ray collection and there were two titles exclusive to that set.
I agree what you saying
Thanks!
I feel ya. I bought that 4K Jaws set and I dont even have 4$K. I just needed a good Jaws for my BR collection
This is your brain on consumerism. A fool and his money are soon parted.
Do 4k blu rays work on standard blu ray players??
Physical rules ❤
Dude, theyre even censoring Disney movies on Disney+!! So this is major issue in the future.
Censorship is the one of my pet peeves
The movie is the product of it's time and should be viewed as that
Collecting files is so boring..physical media rules
YES!!!
What about the worry of a house fire. If it’s digital, you won’t loose your bought movies…

Save your money and stop buying dvds and blurays
Never. Especially if the Dollar Tree keeps carrying them.
