For you to experience the best of Naija Jollof rice, you need to attend Nigerian parties. Every Nigerian knows that party Jollof rice is the best, not even a home made one or from fast food vendors. This is so because the caterers are very good at it, experienced and they truly know what the standard and people's expectations are.
You're a very good story teller. I just subscribed. Pls don't get your hopes high on chicken republic jollof/foods, they know more about "chicken" than anything else.
Elomo you are the most Nigerian TH-camr i have watched recently. I find it hard to believe you are a Cameroonian and not a Nigerian. It's amazing that both Countries are so similar.
Why cameroonians TH-camrs don't like coming to Abuja Nigeria. Abuja is a beautiful place try to visit you will love it ✌🏽. Anyway I just subscribed to your channel
That’s not entirely true anymore, since COVID I belief some things changed and people in some states now have the option, depending on the location to take a ticket and ask to get served at their table
The month of March is the hottest month in Nigeria. And for a country that has serious power issues it's unfortunately the worst time for electricity providers as the transformers get hot very easily. Hence the epileptic supply
My dear where you went to eat is not called restaurant but it is fast food and you need to take your food yourself but when you go to a restaurant not mama put ooo they will come and serve you.thanks
Fun fact, that's what my Nigeria friend Ben told me. In fact, he had to order proper proper jellof rice for me from a different vendor to correct chicken rep's impression.😂
Lagos is divided into 2. Islands and mainland. Island we have lekki face1 and 2, ikoyi had many high rise buildings, Victoria Island had many high rise and most bank headquarters, eko athletic a city build on reclaimed of athletic oceans, banana island island of the 1 percent home to the richest people in African, Lagos island skyscrapers and concrete village, snake island, etc. island is the real Lagos to say, different lifestyle. Lagos mainland, ikega ojota, merry land, etc just normal cool places.
@@elomocaroltv best city in Africa. U have to, I hope u visit during the rainy season. That’s may/September. My city, when u come I would be your tour guide 😂😂
It's not a fast rule that you must wait to collect your food on the counter, on many occasions I have had my food delivered to me, but for that to happen you must make payments for that to be done.
I absolutely love the experience of jumping danfo and kekes! It can be really unsafe sometimes tho, so you gats be careful! Last year they collected my phone💔😭 Me and forgetting the names of places ehn! We go loss , but we go find ourselves las las. Nothing spoil 😂
Like! This is so true. I wanted to ask her, in her last vlog if she is on the island or mainland, because that shawarma shocked the living hell out of me
Hi Carol, Hope you’re coping as well as can be ,with the culture shock that Lagos presents. I am most certainly thrilled and mesmerized by not only the very picturesque scenery, but equally by your inexhaustible attention to details, when showcasing that eatery 😢. . The food appeared quite visually appealing, but that portion size kinda left a lot to be desired. I hope it more than made up with its taste, at the very least 😂! Please be careful, ladies, and be very vigilant. Also , do not tell everyone that you are foreigners, so that you wouldn’t be taken advantage of. The enthusiasm and positivity and that uninhibited curiosity that you exude is simply contagious and catapults me onto a semi-perpetual state of suspense, longing to vicariously drift with you on your next surprise. Please continue to create new standards of excellence with your boundless creativity, that never seems to amaze adventure enthusiasts like me 😢. May God continue to bless you and keep you away from all harm. You’re Awesome , Carol!!! Sunday M!!!
🥺🥺🥺 my dearest friend cutting onions again for me. Kia, what did i ever do to deserve you i still don't know. May God continue to bless and protect you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Your entire family is preserved in Jesus Name. The Lord will continue to cause his face to shine upon you and your household.🙏
Cultural shock!!! This is one of the things I thought was crazy about fast food restaurants from the very first time I visited Nigeria! 😮 Like I'll pay money for food and y'all will not serve me at my table?! Una did hot ooo😂😂
@sundaymolebuin Nigerians warm welcome foreigners more than some of the African countries, mind you nigeria is large with over 200million in population compare with cameroon which is just 2million.
You are funny sha. You went a fast food restaurant expecting to be served? Chicken Republic is considered a fast food restaurant like KFC. Even in America and UK, fast food restaurants do not wait tables or serve customers. Lmao. There's a reason why it's called fast food madam. Fast food means food that you can grab and go. No one is coming to serve you. You order and take the food to go or you order and take the food yourself to sit in. As far as the jollof is concerned, again, you ordered from a fast food restaurant not a gourmet restaurant or a local jollof place. Fast food restaurants often do not have good chefs. If you want to experience true Nigerian jollof, you hae to eat it at a gourmet restaurant or a buka that specializes in local delicacies. Smh.

😂😂😂keke na pep. Thank you sister🤗
In fast food restaurants, you take your food yourself. Same thing in US.
Oh really, that's interesting to know.
@elomocaroltv yes its only fine dining restaurants that you will be served while seated.
@russelstephan6342 oh ok, noted.
That’s not entirely true anymore, since COVID I belief some things changed and people in some states now have the option, depending on the location to take a ticket and ask to get served at their table
