And after decades of listening to "shredders", across all genres, I'm more convinced than ever that shredding has damaged music of all kinds. THIS is fantastic playing. It doesn't have to be played at breakneck speed. All that does is pump up the guitarist's ego. This is the real deal.

I was 8 years old when I decided to play guitar, this based on a TV show watched in Winnemucca, Nevada.
The guitar being played was a Martin 00 or 000. I never forgot that.
Years later my first guitar was a 1939 Martin 00-17 purchased in 1961 for the princely sum of $4 (four dollars)
I currently own a 2015 Martin 00-18 V with highly figured backs and sides. A remarkable guitar.
We will age together.... me and my 0000 and my 00.
Wonderful playing Carl, always a treat. And thanks to North American Guitar for these fine videos.

This guitar sounds absolutely beautiful! Excellent playing on this demo. I have a 00-18 from 1956. You can't beat these 50's 00-18's! they sound MUCH bigger and better than the size would indicate. Made in the old factory with hide glue, the 60+ year old wood sounds amazing!
