i noticed on the other guides that they tend to choose skills that go unga bunga damage, not minding that if that same unga will be the same if factored with Ignore DeF stats. for example, in the sniper build, they will tell you to max out True sight first rather than sonic blast, but sonic blast has additional ignore def so thats better especially whth this guide.

Nice guide, that raw calculation really help so in general, ignore def, true dgm increase, race card, size card add more dgm, than element card, %attack,% dgm and even refine attack.
I've been watching your videos since ROM and now in ROO, I'm still waiting for your contents. And this is one of the contents that I'm really waiting for. I was doing damage tests as well for the past couple of weeks and I was sure that to increase the damage in mobs, the formula has something to do with ignoreDEF and PVE Damage bonus, though I was unsure with the whole calculation, I was able to maximize my F2P blacksmith dealing massive damage and 1 hitting my target grinding spot using cart revo. I'm currently at 960 PVE bonus damage and 537 ignoreDef with 2.16% ignoreDef and I can say this is really spot on. Though I might disagree with the P/MDMG% and card setup. During my tests, it looks to me that P/MDMG% is somewhere outside the calculation giving a big multiplier. When it comes to card, I was dealing high damage using 2 racial cards compared to using 1racial + 1 size card (skel and mino)

Another slot for size/race card, or 10% Critdmg card after lv80 +15 bow, while your falcon can always crit. Critdmg% card sometimes is better becoz there is no small-size card in ROO.

Now, my def ignore is equal to Orc Lord's defense and I'm doing 10% more damage just leveling the Guild skill. What do you mean by diminishing returns where 20+20=36 though? Did you just mean to say it would be better to spread out modifiers? Like medium+demon(1.18*1.2=1.416) would be better than double demon(1.2+1.2=1.4)? Wouldn't diminishing returns apply more to defense modifiers? i.e. 20% fire resistance + 20% dmg reduction from defense being (1-0.2)*(1-0.2)=0.64% damage after reductions instead of (1-0.2-0.2=0.60%)

They say SD assasin is dev son. But I really think it is Sniper. BlitzCrit type have built in Drake card and Baphomet card lol. Also just from self buff and +15 weapon they already have +75% crit damage.
Thanks for confirming blitz beat is full ignore def. The only mystery now is how does steel crow damage affects blitz beat damage. Does it gives 100%patk + 200 in the blitz beat computation? Or the 100% patk is calculated differently and is not within the blits beat 500% attack multiplier.

9:11 is this still work on current patch calculation? so if enemy have 20k P.Deff we have 40% Penetration means 20k -40% = 12k P.Deff if we have 11.600 Ignore P.Deff, we still lose 65% damage? because already more than 360 different
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong. Applying the same method and all, it looks to me that it doesn't really increase my damage at all on the field. I'm currently playing as a Whitesmith grinding at Sidewinder. My ignorePDef as of this writing is 448 and my ignorePDef% is 4.16%. Sidewinder's PDEF is just 348, not to mention I also have 977 PVE Dmg Bonus. Applying the same formula (348-448) - 4.16%, I get -95.9%, isn't it supposed to give me full damage penetration? Or should I apply the same concept? The only way for me to increase my damage is to increase the ignorePDEF to mob's PDEF difference same as with 30, 60, 12, 240, 360?
cuting it short, your basically saying whenever one's pdef is higher than enemy, you are like thanos. that would sound absurd though if the calculation is that way.
Also, will the passive proc stack ? assuming LK has bongun card and aura sigil. will firebolt and bash proc in the same one normal attack ? Im a LK having bongun, stem worm, Vanguard force, joint beat and aura enchantment. im not exactly if one proc, it will override others ? Also, joint beat is triggered whenever one use skill. It seemed like when an autobash is triggered, it'll trigger joint beat also.
I am not sure why your sage’s dmg is very low. Sage should have Mind Breaker passive skill that gives 20% ignore mdef, not sure why you don’t have this skill in your character.. and only putting ignore mdef (non percentage) into your calculation when testing with mvp
I remove that skill for the test, even with the debuff on, The 20% ignore def will only give me around 16% dmg boost. The High Raw Ignore DEF will give a better dmg boost result

does Light, Dark, Time, Space & 1 Purple is still better in terms of PvE than Time, Space, Day, Sky & 1 Purple? i know light and dark is for pvp but still confuse coz it scales better in the late game than the other set
Does critical ignore def and multiply the damage ? I think this used to be the case in old RO. but now, ignore def is such a big deal. if Crit simply ignore the defense, it would be ultra OP. simply playing luck crit built scales as long as the game progress. no matter how big the bosses are in late game with high pdef, Crit has it cover. also, there's no point levelling statue/feathers and stuff with ignore defend (at least for normal hit characters). can u confirm this ?
Can i ask about the ignore def in nightmare temple in the videos? In the videos say hard mode need ignore def 600, is it for def or mdef? Because monsters in field have different def and mdef stat so i assume its gonna be the same with nightmare temple (example hard mode need 600 ignore def/ ignore mdef 300), because with feathers etc you can see the different upgrade between ignore def/ ignore mdef so doesnt that make it not fair if hard mode need ignore def&mdef 600 (because ignore mdef has smaller upgrade in feathers etc)
In the Vid is MDEF, PDEF needs to x2. However, TW recently decide to nerf the DEF, which mostly should implement in Global too soon. ATM the Class with High Ignore DEF has an advantage in Nightmare Temple, u can check out my NT guide for more info

ROO Critical did not ignore PDEF, only ignore Flee.

Tested ur PvP ignore def calculation. Doesn’t seem to work. The 65% reduction didn’t kick in even when opposite net def more than 320. Sumting wong with the formula?
Ignore DEF not really effective in PvP, the PvP Dmg/Reduc & Title is the real factor of Dmg.

Yes, wiz can skip ignore mdef if only attacks with GF.

Does critical ignore def and multiply the damage ? I think this used to be the case in old RO. but now, ignore def is such a big deal. if Crit simply ignore the defense, it would be ultra OP. simply playing luck crit built scales as long as the game progress. no matter how big the bosses are in late game with high pdef, Crit has it cover. also, there's no point levelling statue/feathers and stuff with ignore defend (at least for normal hit characters).

Can i ask about the ignore def in nightmare temple in the videos? In the videos say hard mode need ignore def 600, is it for def or mdef? Because monsters in field have different def and mdef stat so i assume its gonna be the same with nightmare temple (example hard mode need 600 ignore def/ ignore mdef 300), because with feathers etc you can see the different upgrade between ignore def/ ignore mdef so doesnt that make it not fair if hard mode need ignore def&mdef 600 (because ignore mdef has smaller upgrade in feathers etc)
In the Vid is MDEF, PDEF needs to x2. However, TW recently decide to nerf the DEF, which mostly should implement in Global too soon. ATM the Class with High Ignore DEF has an advantage in Nightmare Temple, u can check out my NT guide for more info

VCT% can get Diminishing Returns. 10% increase didnt give u 10%, maybe 3~2% increase when near 100%
