I didn’t think I was going to get much from an ‘exhaust’ video but it was really cool. Great wrap up with the fuel and speedo info too!! (Floors look good too😂) Please keep ‘em coming.
Unreal fellas, can't wait to do a similar setup on mine. Just want to clarify that fuel reading, from stock you've added: - 3" exhaust with DPF delete - +30 injectors - 33" AT tires - 3" lift - the weight of a winch upfront - tuned the engine - tuned the auto Considering how good the fuel is now, will you change the gear ratios to match the bigger tires?
Thanks for the feedback, really appreciate it 🤙🏻 Yeah pretty much spot on, also have a fridge in the tray running fulltime as well. The speedo is out by 3-4Kmh so not really worth the effort and it’s not short on power to turn the 33’s. Things may change later with all the extra mods that are coming though ha ha
I have a standard 2019 Hilux that i run 60 km every day and i do 6.9 ltrs per hundred kms. I use a good injector cleaner. Who cares what it sounds like ???
Say if you got a tune and this "new" type off road dpf installed and had to go into Toyota for the common timing chain rattle warranty. Would they A. wipe the tune do you guys save individuals tunes to be able to re install them if Toyota wipe them and B. Would they not warranty the timing chain due to dpf mods.?
Thanks Manny We monitor everything making sure tune is safe, we don’t chase numbers. We have cars out there with over 100k on clock and tuned them before owner took delivery from dealer
Hey mate - I’ve just bought the exact same car. Love the sound of this exhaust. With the DPF turbo back - the replacement DPF is still fully legal and compliant just smaller by the looks of it? Is that how they manage to get a nice note out of a DPF? I’m assuming leaving the original filter in with the exhaust wouldn’t sound as nice. Thanks heaps mate
That's unbelievable I have same hilux towing 1ton ( sometimes alot heavier) trailer everydays for work with bfg ko2 factory size tyres the commuter show 13.9 to 14 ltre per 100k, do u have any suggestions to lower the fuel consumption but not with all the same mods you've done it just over my limit,
Wow another great watch. So it seems instead of a Richards torque converter lock up kit you are better off getting the gear box tuned. ? Didn't even know that was a thing except for Toyota doing auto software updates. I'm truly surprised more people are not just doing gear box tunes. Do you have a video of comparing to two
Hey Mate Yes a gear box tune will out perform any wired in lock up kit. There is a video of me doing a trans tune showing on the dyno when it was shifting and locking up before and after the tune. Have a look through our videos and you’ll see one dedicated to the n80 auto trans tune. Cheers Shane
@PROCHECK Automotive Mechanical & Dyno Tuning sounds like nothing but positives getting the gear box tuned. When my new n80 finally arrives it will be booked in with you for this. Thanks for the response.
Hey mate, I have the same hilux but pwith a steel tray and tool boxes on the back 2” lift and 32” tires and its using an average of 12.3 lts per 100, i just drove it across the country still at 12lts per 100 i don’t drive it super hard. Will the exhaust alone help the economy or will i need to do the auto gearbox tune as well?
Hey mate the combo of exhaust, tune and trans tune is the best way of getting economy. Exhaust and tune for the extra torque to get the car moving and keep it moving reduces (makes it better) fuel economy. But trans tune alone will help a lot. You get into lockup at 60kmh so around town economy drops then you add holding gears and lockup at 100kmh and the economy drops for highway use
@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 Thanks for taking the time to reply mate. What would that cost to get that done all in one go? Seems like in my case it would pay for itself over time.
Hiii mine doesnt have a dpf but still has a small canister thing where the dpf is located in this video. Im assuming its the catalytic converter.. do you think I can remove it? What would be the outcome? Will I have error codes on my dashboard?
Hey What year model is it? Without seeing it I can’t confirm but could just be the Cat If there is a 02 sensor after the cat it will throw codes if cat removed. If not it won’t
Yeah they can be crazy with the burns. Would have to do some diag as it could be over-fuelling and blocking it up. If you call the office on 07 5491 4626 for pricing and options
Is it legal to do the high flow dpf ?
I have the same model Hilux and have been following your build with interest . Good work.
Thanks for the feedback mate, we have plenty more to come 🤙🏻
So a high flow DPF or a DPF delete because that thing spat out a shitload of soot when you were revving it after the fitment…
The mechanic didn’t allow the motor to warm up before giving it a boot full. Not ideal.
It was a high low cat not a high flow dpf
Every comment asking if it's legal get ignored. Might be the answer to the question?
I didn’t think I was going to get much from an ‘exhaust’ video but it was really cool. Great wrap up with the fuel and speedo info too!! (Floors look good too😂) Please keep ‘em coming.
Thanks mate, really appreciate it.
I try and make them informative, interesting and some fun as well.
Muito bom vídeo. Estou pensando nesse procedimento um pouco mais tarde em minha Hilux. Ainda está com 11.000km
Thats good man, im running 33s bullbar canopy. 3" dpf back exhaust , k&n hiflo airfilter. Stock map i get 9.8ltr/100km
Nice
My 2018 was getting 9.8/100km until the DPF failed. Took it to Toyota for the recall and now it runs at 12.5/100km 🤦♂️
@thegoldensnitch6312 Time to get a tune. Don’t need to remove dpf
Is this road legal now with this exhaust installed ?
Bloody amazing fuel consumption
Hey mate, is this legal in Australia?
so how often does the smaller dpf do a burn?
I love how you keep calling it a Hi Flow DPF when it is a High Flow Cat that you are installing.... Big difference.
😂😂😂😂
Spot on

@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 looking forward to seeing the build progress
with the "hi flow DPF" did you need to retune or just plug and play?
😉
Will need to retune
If you get the high flow dpf can u just put it straight on the car or do u need to get the car tuned for it
Yeah I am curios aswell
You will need to tune to suit
I have a standard 2019 Hilux that i run 60 km every day and i do 6.9 ltrs per hundred kms. I use a good injector cleaner. Who cares what it sounds like ???
Do they do a high-flow DPF for the ford ranger PX3.?
And are these hiflo DPFs certified to maintain insurance?
I so badly need a mechanic or even a few good mechanics up here in Port Macquarie, Australia 🇦🇺 . The only one I trust is always booked out 😢
Hey mate if you calculate your 3% (kms travelled x 1.03) difference for tyres you get 8.86L per 100kms , great consumption on 33's !
Awesome, thanks mate!
Yeah it’s really good on fuel even towing
what exhaust brand r u runing

Hey mate
They won’t “wipe” the tune unless they do a software update
But we keep stock and tuned file stored so can always swap over
Ahh… that’s a lot of black smoke. What’s going on there?
Great work and great power gains interested in getting mine done, my concern is the long term on engine?
Thanks Manny

A tune and trans tune will make a massive difference in consumption, you just won’t get the power and torque I have without doing all the upgrades
is it supposed to smoke that bad?

Oh it's got a fuel but I can get more power There is very good
My 2017 Hilux regenerates every 150 kms and is consuming fuel, is this a bad DPF? Could you give me a quote on how much would this cost? Cheers

Nice work lads, maybe a snorkel & K&N filter on the cards next?
We’ve got some more goodies to fit that’s for sure
Can that same size exhaust pipe use on the hiace 3.0
Sure can
We have tuned a hiace with a 3” exhaust and there is a video on here of it
th-cam.com/video/xynGAC7M9OI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QJL9p9ClNVyJ_dFw
Have you done any for the px3 3.2L ranger?
Sure have
Here’s one with +30 injectors as well

So did u keep the dpf or did u take it out
Stock dpf is removed
Just wondering what u do with all that old exhaust
Usually go to scrap metal unless customer wants it back
What's this set up roughly cost? Looking at getting the same on my 2017
Hey mate,
Call the office on 07 54914626 to discuss options
Do you need to tune the car after the exhaust install? Or will it run fine? On a stock n80
Hey Nicholas
You will need a tune after this exhaust is fitted
Wish my fuel Consumption was like that
Time for upgrades 🤙🏻
Hello, the the package you have linked in the comments, does tbat include the high flow dpf?
Thanks
Hello if I want install this hexaust systèm I must remap my Hilux ?
Hey, yes you will need a remap with this exhaust
Ok thanks
It Is possible to intall just the parts alter the DPF just for the sound ?
Would the km’s be accurate with the 33’s?
Speedo is out by 3-4km
Do you guys do dpf deletes?
We do, for offroad use only of course 😉
@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 cheers, will keep you in mind :)
How much would it cost for this install?
I’ve been asking around in Perth and it’s 4-5 hours at about $150 an hour
"high flow DPF"🤣
IYKYK 🤣
New dpf 😂
Good luck in selling the lux as it is not road worthy. By the way this thats a high flow dpf with nothing inside it.
Sorry bud but painted floors are only good if your a business owner or salesman. They are slippery AF and dangerous unless kept spotless
Every shop I’ve worked in or owned have always had painted floors
Never an issue if done right
How much for you to install that Hi Flow DPF in my n80 hilux thanks
You will need a tune to suit, give us a call on 07 5491 4626 to discuss options
What size wheels are you running on have you got any lift
