And he’s still incredibly funny and endearing while in that state. The guy is made of pure talent and relentless efforts in equal parts, he’s just amazing.
It’s SO nice to see Ryan in a long form interview not in front of an audience. Wow, what a difference a setting can make. I really see the genuineness in him here. So glad I happened upon this podcast while scrolling on TH-cam.
This interviewer is great. She’s done her homework and she’s relaxed and genuine. It makes him more relaxed. She didn’t ask the stupid questions that some others ask.
That's what I don't think people realize about Ryan. He's going to match energies so if you come at him with dumb questions that definitely invite him to do a performative bit, he's going to give you what he thinks you're looking for with a comedic, super unserious tone. I recognize this because my sister does the same thing.
It was the best day of my life when I saw Hugh put on the mask in the movie. Best thing I’ve seen in a comic book movie ever. Tops “Avengers Assemble” for me. I’m a 50 year old man and turned to my 13 year old daughter and screamed like a little girl, “OMG! THAT MASK IS THE BEST THING EVER!”
Best and most genuine interview I’ve seen of Ryan! He seemed super anxious when asked of questions he didn’t already have a canned response for, but loved his thoughtful answers even more!
Excellent interview. If you really want your mind blown, Blake posted about the Lady Deadpool role. On the set of Green Lantern in 2010 Ryan was telling Blake and the other actors about Deadpool and the movie he was about to make. Blake was also in Gossip Girl at that same time. Meanwhile, Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool at Marvel Comics, was designing Lady Deadpool to be introduced into the comic series. Both he and his wife were big Gossip Girl fans and Rob modeled Lady Deadpool after Serena van der Woodsen, the very character Blake Lively was playing. Jump forward fourteen years. Ryan and Blake are married with four children, and Blake is taking her rightful place as Lady Deadpool alongside Ryan's Deadpool character. That is just bonkers if you think about it.
Agreed. Excellent interview! I really enjoyed watching it and the trajectory of how everything went in the last 14 years is truly amazing and Ryan and Blake have such a big family now! But on your point about Rob Liefeld being the creator of Deadpool, I think it's important to note that he co-created Deadpool with Fabian Nicieza-and that also, a lot of the stuff about Deadpool like the Breaking The Fourth Wall and the irreverent, inappropriate, off the wall, nothing is taboo- sense of humor, came from other writers like Joe Kelly. Obviously, there wouldn't be a character to add all of this stuff TO, if Liefeld hadn't co-created him in the first place but I do think that it's worth noting. I've seen this thing happen with Rob Liefeld where he gets all the credit for creating Deadpool( and where he often makes it sound like he created Deadpool all by himself). It's similar in some ways to me with what happened with Stan Lee( who is one of my inspirations and heroes but that's been said about Stan for a long time as far as credit and taking credit and giving it) and how he can often get more credit than guys like Jack Kirby and Steve Dtiko( legends and unsung heroes of the comic book industry who are responsible for creating at least half of the Marvel Universe but most people in the general audience who don't read comic books have never heard of them).
what i love so much about ryan is how honest he is, and how well he plays deadpool. no movie has really connected to me like this before, and i definitely think that its because of him.
Omg I loved this so much! It felt so short!!!!! I just didn’t want it to end!! Can he come back? To explain the whole Disney thing? We just need more! Obsessed! I may do a deadpool marathon later tonight. 💁🏻♀️
He's so right about rooting for the other person. The day I fell out of love with my husband was the day he made it unmistakably clear that he was really happy that I was disappointed, almost grieving. What a super interview. She gives him a peaceful space to be real.
Best interview I’ve seen with him on this press tour! I get why he needs to be “on” most of the time but this is so refreshing and feels so authentic. Thank you!
He is literally the most supportive person. I love the talk about women in the industry and their struggles, he really is the best along with his lovely wife Blake.
It's funny you mentioned that because I've always thought the exact same thing-that he's funnier than most professional comedians out there. Why he isn't considered a comedian is something that I never quite understood. He's funnier than Bill Cosby, Seth Rogen, Dane Cook and many other comedians that I could start rattling off.
Fun fact: collective effervescence (the term he brought up) is actually “ communitas” in the field of anthropology… AKA the “anthropology of collective joy”
Great chat, he gave a lot of perspective of numerous topics. love that you gave him space to talk, it was all very natural. Solid banter. Even real housewives got a shout out 😅
i love & appreciate how they keep their kids so private, but i so badly wish we could see them with their parents bc i'm sure they are hilarious & adorable!
The loveliest guy. Thanks for putting this out, and getting this out of him. Regardless of how easy or hard it might be to get that out of him. I even wept from feeling and the joy, engagement and vulnerability from mister Ryan Reynolds.
Omg when he said that his mind can run faster than his mouth can keep up with I couldn't believe he suffers the same thing as me! ❤ Bless our good friends who step in and help with that. I do think it's a sign of intelligence but it doesn't help to communicate well until you can calm down 😅 Thank you for this. I hope he comes back. It was lovely to see him in long form. I'm starting to plan for kids and his advice was just everything. ❤
I appreciate this interview because in every other video Ryan Reynolds not serious enough. He’s always joking and saying funny things. Which I like. But I needed to see this version of him. Serious, collected and focused. I learned so much about Deadpool’s character and persona in this interview. Deadpool used to be my least favorite superhero on the list -not even on my list for that matter. But THIS. This interview changed my mind on Deadpool. Deadpool x Wolverine Movie was a phenomenal movie. Great job Ryan Reynolds and team.
saw it in 4dx and it was 10000000000% worth it, i literally felt like i was apart of the movie and bc of that it’s one of my fav movies rn. it was so well made and thought out.
We are 43 seconds in, and he referenced 2 Guys, a Girl & a Pizza Place ... My heart is so happy ❤ Can we now have a streaming service to offer this show?!!!
I was a serial cusser for years. My son heard “F” bomb after “F” bomb…etc and yet he’s never really been much of a cusser. About a year ago, a year or so after I gave my life truly to God again, even though I was raised Christian my whole life…and was this serial “Cusser”, I asked my son to keep me accountable for cussing whenever I said a cuss word. My son is 18 now, but he still after about a year will correct me whenever I say shi% or da%n or fu#^ and at times it can be annoying, but I also love it and respect it and appreciate the fact that he cares enough to call me out on my bs I guess you could say. It’s very refreshing. In the world nowadays with so many different things being spouted out as right or wrong…or the life he’s been through where I spent around 10 years of my life (his life too in just being in it) where I was in relationships with two men that not only treated me poorly, cussed at me and physically abused me, but I’m sure said things to him that were probably not the greatest, he has become a strong young man that I truly know is a good person and has a good heart. He stands up for his values and for his family and that means the world to me.
After having seen (AND LOVED) this movie I'm wondering which scene/plot point Hugh really wanted to touch on that he was finally able to do in this movie. And I agree with the other commenter that said they liked seeing this side of Ryan, whose always usually so "on." Great interview 🙂
She definitely put it “nut milk” after the post credits scene with Johnny 😂 Could’ve phrased it with a specific kind of nut, but because Johnny Storm said “Nut milk”…
Between that and thinking Deadpool 1 was good for a 4 year old, this will be the only podcast I watch. I could have let go the kid thing but, damn, stop interrupting him.
I was thinking that, too. Ryan was being polite but I also think that that's pushing it. I wouldn't let a four year old watch Deadpool. But to each their own and obviously, you can' tell other people how to parent their own kids.
It’s always the middle Child that ends up like the dad she don’t give a damn The first kid like mom third both Wonder who’s traits his sons gonna follow
Is swearing around your kids Canadian thing? I and most people I know do it and noone really cares. And the kids don't swear until it's age appropriate, somehow they just know.
Is she really that ignorant and didn't do any homework or is she pretending not to know anything at all? I mean c'mon RR in Wolverine Origins should be known to her
I love that this showed a more relaxed version of him! He’s been so “on” for this press run so this was a nice change! ❤
One thousand percent agree
His calm is my version of collective effervescence. Such an enlightening, warm conversation.
He never does long form stuff, and not doing bits! This is great, love him.
He did an hour with Collider
Funny, attractive, intelligent, well spoken, self aware plus a loving husband and father. gosh this man is perfection 😭❤
This is a fantastic conversation. Love seeing Ryan open up and give the behind the scenes, curtain opening deets.
This interviewer is great. She’s done her homework and she’s relaxed and genuine. It makes him more relaxed. She didn’t ask the stupid questions that some others ask.
She really is! She's my new fav pod for work!
She supports Israel and the genocide of the Palestinian people including children….yeah she’s great 🤮
That's what I don't think people realize about Ryan. 😂 That's awesome
This is the best interview I've seen of Ryan, I love how he's vulnerable with his anxiety.

I just love Ryan Reynolds, whenever i feel low i put something up in which he is in or friends and they both work like the best to uplift my mood.
He's obviously so funny but he's so thoughtful and intelligent too. Definitely my favorite actor 💕
I wish this podcast was longer! I could listen to you two chatting for ages ❤
I was thinking “hey Ryan gosling chew gum too” the same time she said “very Ryan gosling”.
This is the best Ryan Reynolds’s interview I’ve ever seen
I love him! He’s funnier than most professional comedians out there.

Amazing interview! Thank you for not interrupting the guest the whole time!!! ❤
She did interrupt a lot..
Great chat, he gave a lot of perspective of numerous topics. love that you gave him space to talk, it was all very natural. Solid banter. Even real housewives got a shout out 😅
After one I was legally boneless and full of magic! IM DEAD!! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
i love & appreciate how they keep their kids so private, but i so badly wish we could see them with their parents bc i'm sure they are hilarious & adorable!
Awe he's just the sweetest, andi I agree , I love getting older too , who knew 50 would be so amazing!!
The loveliest guy. Thanks for putting this out, and getting this out of him. Regardless of how easy or hard it might be to get that out of him.
I even wept from feeling and the joy, engagement and vulnerability from mister Ryan Reynolds.
He seems so relaxed! Great interview 👏

holy god Ryans so charismatic its intoxicating 😂😂😂

Thank you for this. I hope he comes back. It was lovely to see him in long form. I'm starting to plan for kids and his advice was just everything. ❤
LOVE THIS. seeing all the promo he's been doing and being 'on' all the time, this is so refreshing.
Such an amazing interview! I absolutely love your style & your questions! ❤
I appreciate this interview because in every other video Ryan Reynolds not serious enough. He’s always joking and saying funny things. Which I like. But I needed to see this version of him. Deadpool x Wolverine Movie was a phenomenal movie. Great job Ryan Reynolds and team.
Props to Reynolds. I know it's not easy to do a podcast like this especially with that level of stardom Ryan@. 🙏
I love how relaxed & vulnerable this is
What a great interview! I thought it would just be another cutesy 10 min soundbite-filled snack. This was a full meal.
I love this interview so much!!
saw it in 4dx and it was 10000000000% worth it, i literally felt like i was apart of the movie and bc of that it’s one of my fav movies rn. it was so well made and thought out.
I love Ryan so much that I switched to Mint Mobile after over 30 years with AT& T❤❤❤❤
We are 43 seconds in, and he referenced 2 Guys, a Girl & a Pizza Place ... My heart is so happy ❤ Can we now have a streaming service to offer this show?!!!

Best friends in the world greenlight
After having seen (AND LOVED) this movie I'm wondering which scene/plot point Hugh really wanted to touch on that he was finally able to do in this movie. And I agree with the other commenter that said they liked seeing this side of Ryan, whose always usually so "on." Great interview 🙂
How does a channel with 30k subs get a long form interview with Ryan Reynolds who doesn’t seem to do podcasts. Am I missing something?
She does podcasts and the video from it is what you see here, Pretty sure she also has a huge following on other social platforms
Deadpool has definitely sissied that walk!
0:57 Green Lantern reference... Wow Ryan
Not Ryan licking his lips when talking about Hugh's biceps
MarvelJesus That was great hearing from Deadpool
Love Ryan Reynolds. Very breedable.
*edit Ryan Gosling. My bad.
😂
Yeah... Right 😏😁
Who knew Ryan Reynolds was such a darling?
11 mins in im crying already
crying again
데드풀 시리즈 영화 정말재미있게보았습니다 ☆최고☆
She definitely put it “nut milk” after the post credits scene with Johnny 😂
Could’ve phrased it with a specific kind of nut, but because Johnny Storm said “Nut milk”…
Now can we have matt bomer and Jonathan Bailey for fellow travelers here. As they got an Emmy nomination
If you're wondering about the Lady Deadpool thingy go to 32:20
34:12 great advice about supportive relationships
Green Lantern where they met to lady Deadpool!!!!
"is it Ai" have we already forgotten about CGI..?
He is sick of promotions at this stage ...you can just see it😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hey if Ryan Reynolds wants gum in his mouth during an interview, then BY GOD Ryan Reynolds will have gum in his mouth. :)
This was SO good!
Deadpool himself
How do you manage to know all these celebrities?!
lol did Ryan do this podcast as a favor for Blake?
Why does she keep talking over him?
Between that and thinking Deadpool 1 was good for a 4 year old, this will be the only podcast I watch. I could have let go the kid thing but, damn, stop interrupting him.
I didnt know Smh. I thought it was so much hate, then i read somewhere it is, shake my head😂
Loved Two guys and a girl.
Ryan Gosling? 🤣
She let her 4 year old watch Deadpool? WTAF?🤔💯
Eh who cares. Noah is perfectly fine ❤
I hope so. Time will tell right?🤔💯
the kid will be fine, it's deadpool not schindlers list
I was thinking that, too. Ryan was being polite but I also think that that's pushing it. I wouldn't let a four year old watch Deadpool. But to each their own and obviously, you can' tell other people how to parent their own kids.
It’s always the middle Child that ends up like the dad she don’t give a damn
The first kid like mom third both
Wonder who’s traits his sons gonna follow
I will never get the vaccine for skinny jeans 😂
Yes I did say that would happen
normally he’s always on and i can’t handle it
Reynolds looks like a brunette Dan Levy
Apologize for nothing bro…ever!
i am new sub i see deadpool
13:25 19:20 30:34 34:37
Saying she’s anti cinema is actually a crime 😂 Ryan kept it cool but wowowow, “Whennis it on streaming? Give me the link!” is a mad thing
the gum thing is weird 😅
Is swearing around your kids Canadian thing? I and most people I know do it and noone really cares. And the kids don't swear until it's age appropriate, somehow they just know.
24:13
I hate people that have socks up crazy high. Looks so bad! 😂
Can you actually shut up and let him speak?
30:29 "Yeah, right, yeah, right, yeah, right" 🤦
This woman is unbearable to watch.. I’m only here for RYAN.. she’s awful..
Is she really that ignorant and didn't do any homework or is she pretending not to know anything at all? I mean c'mon RR in Wolverine Origins should be known to her
And how do you interrupt Ryan Reynolds talking about Hugh and the work he did to get in shape to ask how old Hugh is?
