Unless you're in a crappy casino, any tricks you try to use to increase your comp points are already known and it doesn't work for long. And the crappy casinos that don't care, usually don't give you any noteworthy comp anyways
I'd like to add one thing to your video. Reference the FreePlay once you select let's say you want to spend $10 worth of free play and you querida $10 probably a number 3 on the keypad. During your free play once you exceed the $10 mark on the FreePlay you can cash out. Let's say you cash out at $25, you'll receive a ticket valued at $25 because it exceeds the $10 FreePlay that you started with. If you cash out prior to exceeding the $10 Mark that you started with you will not receive the amount that you desire which would be under the $10 but in fact will be in pennies So the moral of the story is you can go in there with $60 worth of free play and walk out with hundreds if you always exceed the amount of free play you selected in the first place
One thing I’ve always been curious about is how much action you need to be able to make side deals with the casino. Like comps that are off the books, not tied to a card or anything. Similar to how you see those high rollers come in and they don’t have to worry about a players card. How much money do you have to be playing to reach that sort of status? Would love to see a video on that!
It's not that they don't have to use a players card, high rollers are well known and the workers enter the information manually. Typically this is done by memorizing the players card number or looking them up by name.
Some things to note here: 1. For most table games, they will actually rate you based on if they think you are playing basic strategy, or how far off they think you are playing off of basic strategy. For example in blackjack, if you aren’t making any mistakes they will rate you at about 0.5% and if you are playing the sucker bets they will rate you over 1%. 2. Some of the virtual versions of table games will not reward comps at certain casinos. For example at the hard rocks in Florida, you do not earn comps while playing virtual craps or roulette. Some casinos may even get picky with it and not give you comps on certain low edge bets (pass line, black/red)
We would agree with both of your statements. For the Hard Rock part we often play there and we don't understand they won't give you any player's club points on some of those electronic games, especially roulette. Unfortunately, many players probably aren't aware that they aren't earning points because they still have card readers on the machines.
americancasinoguide I agree I don’t get it either. Probably because the house edge is much lower than what they would get from you playing a slot machine. Their tech probably isn’t sophisticated enough do differentiate it between a regular slot machine.
I think some players would go as a team and one play black, while the other played red, (or odd/even, high/low) thinking they were building up their points without the ability to lose much money. However, they are still playing at a 5.26% house advantage, so I don't understand why they aren't earnings point based on that high house edge.
americancasinoguide yeah I’m sure you know this that the hard rocks down here are pretty stingy when it comes to comps. They don’t give anything away. Not even free drinks while you play.
I found your video very interesting. I've been given $125 freeplay every day at one particular casino. I want to continue receiving as much freeplay as possible. My question is, when playing strickly freeplay (never actually putting any money in slot machine), will I continue earning points? If not, does this affect my worth to the casino?
There are two versions of our book and both are available from Amazon. The 480-page edition that has information on all casinos can be found here - amzn.to/2PdXObU There is also a 128-page version which only contains the coupons and that can be found here - amzn.to/3sxENzF
Question for you Matt or Steve. I've watched a lot of your videos that talk about your comps being calculated via your THEO. Does having a casino host basically just enable you to negotiate back a higher percentage of your THEO with extra comps? If not, what is the actual benefit of a casino host?
A host should have a bit of leeway for comps such as rooms or food, but they still have to look at your theo to see what your worth is to the casino as far as free play is concerned.
Why at the end of the month say you have $370 left over for view play. Then you look the next day your to get your new free play for being top tier in players club, when you look at your balances, they took away the $370, but gave you your $500 free play. That’s not fair as we go every 2 weeks and spend thousands each time. Please tell me why they do this? Thank you
Have a question , if you tell the casino that you lost your comp card and they give you another card could you and your wife play your card at the same time ?
At one of the Indian casinos I gamble at in my state of Wisconsin the card slot is blocked off on the automated roulette machine. You get nothing for playing and they don't even care who you are.
almost always when I go to a casino I have free play money. It could be $25 -$200 or more. If I use my card to use my free play money that would count as me being there the minute I go over the amount by 1 penny. So I’m not sure how if I’m only go to play for a few minutes as suggested in the part 2 video how that work???
As soon as you start playing on your free play it counts as a visit to that casino and your total play for that day will be calculated into your "theo" for the day. That's why you can't expect the free play to continue to last because if you only go and pick up your free play then you are lowering your average daily theo - "ADT" - and the free play will keep being lowered.
Most casino gamblers have never heard of the methods we mention. However, experienced gamblers might be familiar with them. If you want more advanced techniques, go buy the book Comp City, by Max Rubin.
Very basic stuff. I want to know how to get more for your play. Tipping a host. Putting chips in your pocket at the tables to show losses. Ect. Let's get creative guys.
Any good casino is going to know pretty close to exactly how much you won or lost even if you pocket your chips. What most people don't know is your comp is not based on winnings or loss. It's based on your average bet and time played. Somebody could go in and play one hand of blackjack for $10,000 and another person could buy in for$20 and play for 8 hours. The person that bought in for$20 is going to earn more comp.
I urge you to watch the other American Casino Guide videos on comps. When you're at tables your comps are calculated based on a percent of your THEOretical losses. Putting a chip in your pocket/ putting more money of the table doesn't change your THEO. Only your average bet does. You MIGHT have been able to get away with that in the days before cameras. But now they tracking your every hand and bet.
Drinks are not free. If don't tip a buck or two to the waitress, she will probably ignore you the next time. I hate tipping culture from restaurants to taxis.

Interesting to learn comps can be mailed. Was wondering how people get freeplay outside of the offers listed on the site. Thx for the info!

Nate Talbert I see. But it still begs the question. How much play do you need to make for example to get an all inclusive week trip to the bellagio?
