Wow! Sounds great J-MAN! You are way better then amateur my friend! Nice use of the boot too! That had to be an awesome effect to add to your arsenal. 😀
Haha thanks Jeff! The boot is an effect I'd gladly get rid of! Not a bad night considering all new gear (except my pedals) new band and freshly learned songs and 2nd time out playing since covid lol! Butchered a few but all in all a great night hahaha! The new gear was great! Cheers man, J
Thanks Greg! Some nights are better than others lol! Yeah she's fantastic. Not my band. I was just filling in for a friend of mine. Love playing with these guys. Great people!
Hey Gene, thanks! This thing is a Tele to the core! It matched up really well with the Quilter superblock UK! It was fun to be out amongst the living again lol! Cheers man! J
Dude! You seriously Rock! Nice job on Vince Gill. Yeah, I would definitely come out to see you guys if you didn't live a thousand miles away LOL LOL! Keep it real, and you obviously keep it live.
Thanks Willy! These Superblocks are great amps and these EART guitars can't be beat for the price. In a world where everything is climbing in price, itxs great to be able to buy something reasonably priced that you can actually gig with! J
Dude! You seriously Rock! The gear filled the bill and so did you. Come next week I'll have been doing this for 60 years and you my friend are no amateur. I would be glad to stand on any stage next to you, provided, of course, if you let me. Keep it real, keep it live!
Jeepers Jim, thanks so much! That means a lot coming from you! You can share the stage with me any time! In fact, you could just take my spot! Haha Cheers bud! J
Hi R.B. Huckleberry! Thanks man! Playing is just fair lol but yeah these super block amps are superb! Very impressed! I'm thinking hard on the US version as well, so I'm glad to hear you like it. Just a little hesitant as I've never been a huge fan of fender amps. I don't hate them but I don't love them either lol... thanks for taking the time to comment! Cheers, J
@@j-man9457 I like the "tweed" setting a lot. I figure for the price it's worth having around. I have been favoring it lately with my semi hollow Hamer
U did a nice job for just sittin in I know how it can be I’m a bass player that plays guitar a lot at home and I’m sold outstanding tone love it thanks for all the info and I like that ur videos are unedited you should move to North Dakota we could start a group lol 😮
Haha well thanks Ravegg! That's a much appreciated comment. I did butcher a few songs, but all in all it was a pretty good night for a fill in gig! The new gear and Eart guitar were lots of fun to play and sounded great, well to my ears anyway. And this band I filled in for is great. Super nice people and great tunes to keep people on the dance floor. Thanks for the comment! Cheers, J
That sounded GREAT! 😀👍 And, since I've narrowed down my amp choices to mostly Fender Tone Master amps, or at least the Fender "clean" tone as I have been trying out amps (I like the Blues Jr. tube tone also) (and i may go with Quilter instead of Fender 😉), as you said mentioned the Jensen speaker near the end - that was it! I realize, now, that as I have been trying out different amps, Celestion speakers don't sound bad, but the amp sound/tone I like comes from Jensen speakers, not Celestion. Without listing all of the amps I've tried, an apples to apples comparison would be the Fender Deluxe Reverb Tone Master Black (Jensen) vs Blonde (Celestion). The Blonde/Celestion has a cool vintage vibe, but after a bit of it, if that's not what I want...too bad! Granted, I haven't spent tons of time with THAT specific amp, but Celestion speakers seem a bit darker, muted, "further back" with the tone. Jensen speakers seem clearer, more present, and more punch/clarity/openness. As I've been considering what cabinet I would choose if I went with the Quilter SuperBlock US, this is a vital step in recognizing that MY ears would much prefer a Jensen speaker! Any cabinet suggestions? The Quilter cabinets use a Celestion speaker. Oh, and Quilter emailed back that a Quilter SuperBlock US with two Quilter CB cabinets would be possible, but, obviously, not the best since that isn't as much power driving those speakers. So, I could ask what Quilter amp to get instead, but I still want that more "Fender" tone... Do the other bigger Quilter amps still have that tone? Or, is there a 2x12 cabinet with Jensen speakers that would pair nicely with the Quilter SuperBlock US? Your videos and info are super helpful! Thanks for taking the time to make the videos and respond to comments! 😊👍
I also think I have liked open-back cabinets more than closed-back. This Mojo Tone is partially open. Btw, I'm not married to this cabinet. It just popped up when I quickly Googled for a 2x12 cabinet. :)
Great all the way around, Jason! The guitar. The amp. The pedals and the Quilter Super-Block UK. The Band... and of course, the axe work you showed off on this one. Nicely done, and you rocked it. Sounded great. The guitar tones were killer - and you could really hear it on the Mellencamp tune. Killer, bud. All came together into this vid, since you started showing us the (gear) pieces.

Dude, if you're an amateur than I might as well hang it up forever. But I've no intention to, so I'd say you need to be promoted to semi-pro at the least. The sound out of the Quilter was great too ✌️

Hey Justin, Actually these guys I was playing with were pretty loud actually. 12 being straight up on the knob, I had the gain at 1 and the volume almost at 2. I had lots left if needed and I was just playing through a 1X10 cab. These little amps are amazing!🤩
I'm using the XLR out to the sound board yes, but in this video my wife was side stage filming. Most of the guitar sound your hearing is from my 1X10 guitar cab which was on a chair behind me... I was impressed! These little amps sound great! J
@@MH-kc8pq probably more than double. So what I do live is use the XLR line out to the sound board. My guitar sound gets amplified to from the sound system. For sound check, I leave my superblock amp on standby. This cuts the power to my speaker cab on stage. Once the sound is set out front with the drums, and base in the mix, then I put the suberblock to on and set my speaker cab volume accordingly. So, it's much louder out front than it is on stage😃
