So your telling me the dropkick couldn't sense the allspark or Megatron's energon? They were right next to the dam and using an energon detector, reboot.
The most obvious sign that this is a reboot is the fact that Megatron is not at the Hoover dam. Bumblebee is the first time Sector-7 have seen a Transformer, so this eliminates Megatron being in the dam and therefore erases all of Transformers 1.

Theory & Opinion on Bumblebee: 1. The opening scene on Cybertron is my favorite part. No question. 2. Blitzwing (in his G1 form) is supposed to be purple, yellow and white. Not red and white. I think he was like that because he was still in his Cybertronian form and not his Earth form or maybe he just scanned a red and white jet for temporary disguise purposes.
We also have to take into account this is Travis Knights first life action movie. Also a Scene John Cenas character calls a guy Simmons, I am pretty sure that’s a reference to agent Simmons in the first bay movie
Director couldn't use Megatron to do that because he knew that Megatron was still locked up in Hoover Dam. The movie prequel of the transformers franchise is great bee came to our world in defense for a reason from prime's transmission to defend the innocent from the cons.
They probably planned for both scenarios. Successful: Hey, folks, it's a reboot. Here's the plans for next movie! Fail: It's a prequel. That's a wrap, people. That's the end of the Transformers movies.
@@tatsuyah4695 I feel like calling a movie a reboot is fairly pointless. It doesn't start over and tell the story again. It's an expansion of the story we were already told. A reboot is like the Amazing Spider-Man movies after the other Spider-Man movies came out. You tell the story again and ditch all the elements from the previous. This movie doesn't do that at all
@@optibotimus It could. That's why I think they had it planned both ways. If it doesn't work out, they left enough elements so that they can stick it to the 2007 timeline and call it a prequel. If it does work out, they can come out with a new movie timeline that can still use some of the 2007 movie elements. It's not like alternate timelines is anew thing for Transformers.
tabo hofmann I agree *spoiler* who ever reads the comments it’s a reboot cause at the end it shows bee an Optimus roll out and see the autobots arriving so it’s not a prequel cause in the 2007 bumblebee signals them an they arrived an it doesn’t make sense if it’s a prequel this movie rests everything an puts transformers in a fantastic direction..the bay verse (I don’t mean to sound rude) is dead this is a new start for the franchise without bay and I’m really excited cause I been a hardcore transformers fan since I was little..this movie was FANTASTIC.
So in the final scene there was 6 new autobots Landing on earth who could they be I think it could be Ironhide,Ratchet, wheeljack,Arcee, and I think Sunstreaker and sideswipe
One thing I don’t understand is why Bee is the only one with a weird robot-number name so that Charlie could name him. He’s B-217 or whatever while Optimus and Wheeljack and Blitzwing and them all have actual names. They could’ve just kept his name as Bumblebee and still had her decide that to be his name and it could be a funny coincidence. Other than that I think everything transformers related about this movie was absolutely fantastic, even down to Bee’s voice being Dylan O’Brian, one of my favorite actors.
I loved this film. I think, personally, that that seeker character isn't blitzwing, but just a random seeker based on the facts of he is never named (except credits maybe) and that on cybertron there were soo.. many seekers. But I loved it, Bee was awesome, the con due was very well done, Charlie I think is the best human character to date, and over all, very well done.
I was able to see it here in NYC last night. This is far and away the best one, i've always visually enjoyed the Bayformer films but could never view them as anything more than a one time watch but this had a lot of heart and i loved it.
If the producer is as big a fan of Transformers as the rest of us he will be watching your review. Thank you for the spoiler review. I have been waiting for the tickets to go on sale so I can surprise my wife and it will be her Christmas date away from the kids. Now I know she will be happy with the movie too.
I loved this movie. Ever since the 2007 movie was released, I fell in love with Transformers in general, even though Age of Extinction and The Last Night weren’t my favorites, they were still fun to watch. I also hope more movies come out in the future. Bumblebee was a great way to “refresh” Transformers.
Honestly, I believe they changed their mind into calling that Decepticon ‘Blitzwing’ and it’s understandable. They obviously received a lot of Backlash from name dropping him as Blitzwing... therefore I think they cut out his actual name in the film and their just going with him being a generic Decepticon. When you think about it, it does make sense
I just watched this movie now and have come here to watch your review. I loved the movie. I’m so happy with what Travis did with this movie. I must say seeing all those autobots coming down at the end got me super excited for the next instalment and got me thinking “THE BOYS ARE BACK!” I’m so happy for John Bailey aswell to get the role of both Soundwave and Shockwave in this film. And the line of “Ravage, Eject” gave me goosebumps
I’m opting to think that what they can do is indeed tell more stories in this gap in time an moreso they can simply be connected only to the first 3 movies. 4/5 never happened
I didn't see the movie yet, but I don't mind if this is confirmed, but in a tv spot, I saw bumblebee in 1977 Camaro robot mode and looking up at Cybertronians coming from the sky, are those the Autobots? And is that in the end of the movie, *i didn't watch the whole video yet to avoid 100% spoilers*
Did anyone else notice in BUMBEBEE that in the end bumblebee looks Nothing like how he looks like in the beginning of Transformers 1. The old( on the new Bumblebee movie it a New camero) Camero.
They had a combo set with the G1 bumblebee toy at the cinema here in Singapore. Just finish watching the movie, IT WAS GREAT! Love the Michael Bay transformers, but u don't get emotional moments like in this movie with Michael Bay films
Also.. I request a review of the Target exclusive Studio Series Bumblebee 2pack of the VW Beetle and the TF5 Chevy Camaro. There paint jobs are different, yet better in my opinion.
The beginning when he talked about the coke freestyle machine reminded me of his old vids where he had the cringy coke ad lol thanks for the memories Paul
I just saw the movie twice now a few days ago and am about to watch it again this wknd. And both times I've enjoyed the hell out of it. However, while some people are saying the movie is a reboot, some a prequel, or whatever they think it is, and dispite the hints leading to the 07 film, I personally consider this movie as a soft reboot. Only because yes, There's a lot that leads to the 07 film like Sector 7, Bumblebee speaking through the radio, and his Camaro cameo at the end. Most of me wanted to say it's a soft reboot because of the different direction that Travis Knight went for instead of Michael Bay. Stuff like character development, Being able to tell what's going on in a battle. And most importantly for me, the (touching) story. Knight really did an amazing job and I seriously hope he comes back for any other transformers film that they have planned.
Sounds interesting. The only thing to rule out the prequel idea is TLK showing us ww2 bots and earlier. But I prefer the prequel idea and can't wait to see it myself
I'm still confused as to how this movie will connect to the Bay films. Bumblebee crash lands on 1987 Earth to kick off this movie, but in The Last Knight, Bumblebee was a spy during World War II. So if this is Bumblebee's first appearance, how is it that he lands on Earth in the 80's, but fought in a war during the 40's?
I have always loved Travis Knight works in stop motion animation with Laika Studios and it shows in this movies. And yes I agree with you that this is the best live action Transformers movie yet. Let's support this movie with our wallets so he can come back with another Transformers movie. I'm gonna watch it again when it releases officially
I have an explanation for some of the continuity errors 1) The autobots go back to space to search for the allspark (not knowing that it was in the dam due to the multiple layers of lead and concrete 2) THEY ARE GETTING RID OF TRANSFORMERS 5 FOR GOOD (thank christ for that)
i think its a reboot cuz optimus landed on earth already in 1987 when in transformers 1 he landed 2007 and also only 4 transformers landed when in bumblebee there were 7 pods total at the end
A lot of conflicting information in this movie to reliably call it a prequel however if it reboots from this I will absolutely be satisfied... this was the best live action movie... I am sad though that they spent so much time developing Charlie to be like “k this is your end now”. I want more of that character.
I still believe it's a reboot. It retcons a lot of things from the bay movies. It keeps a lot of the same elements from the bay movies but imo it's still a reboot because of the the many retcons, which I love
every transformer movie is kind of a soft reboot Transformers: they were on Earth (specifically Megatron) following the all spark Transformers 2: they were on Earth because of the machine and there were a lot of transformers way before 2007 Transformers 3: Megatron and Sentinel were heading to Earth to meet and for the pillars Transformers 4: haven't seen it but there are dinobots so I guess they arrived millions of years before and also Bumblebee was on Earth since at least WWII, I don't know why Transformers 5: haven't seen it, but probably there's another reason to why they are on Earth Bumblebee: Bumblebee came to Earth to establish a base, the decepticons were following him
It have been confirm that if Transformers Bumblebee does get in the box office, then there will be an Optimus origins Spin off That is our mission everyone, make this movie bring in top dollars and we get to see more of Cybertron, we get to see Orion Pax, we get to see Megatronus (the Gladiator from Kaon), and we might even see Elitaone/Ariel

@Derivitiv Films Schrodengers Bat?
I saw you at the movie and I saw the bumblebee movie too bye
So in the final scene there was 6 new autobots Landing on earth who could they be
I think it could be Ironhide,Ratchet, wheeljack,Arcee, and I think Sunstreaker and sideswipe
Who said they were autobots?
Well the decepticon never got the earth sighting so I’m positive about they are autobots that’s just my prediction
@@optibotimus because the autobots left at the start of the films and the cons didn't get the signal, that's a silly question
@@optibotimus Is that a serious question?
Credits show his name
@@optibotimus fair enough. Love ur reviews by the way.
Did cliffjumper’s death shock you guys? 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I hope they revive cliffjumper because he keeps dying in every series
ChrisLego Films
Idk dude, the way Cliff went out gave me very little doubt for a chance for him getting revived... 😢
PatrickTheKnight dang,why Travis Knight,WHY?
he's not called "cliffjumper" for nothing
Ernest John Ritter true
Ernest John Ritter they should have made him jump off a cliff
was barricade in it? I would love to see where their bad blood started
14:04 "That part that fell off is nowhere to be found"
That's because it didn't actually fall off, it just kinda hangs.
I still wish that blitzwing was starscream 🙁and that cliffjumper did not die 😭 he is my favorite character
"You got the touch" was played, did they play "Dare" by chance?
Thanks for sharing the info! Even more excited to see it now!
No just the one song.
U know when optibotimus makes a movie review positive it means its a great movie. Hyped for it!
How can fit with 2007? Like optimus prime arrive in 1987 but at bayformers in 2007?
Honestly, I believe they changed their mind into calling that Decepticon ‘Blitzwing’ and it’s understandable. They obviously received a lot of Backlash from name dropping him as Blitzwing... therefore I think they cut out his actual name in the film and their just going with him being a generic Decepticon. When you think about it, it does make sense
Is that a boombox behind you, leaning against the wall?
Soft reboot
You think these chains will hold me
I just watched this movie now and have come here to watch your review.
Nooooooo why did they kill off Cliffjumper. I was looking forward to seeing him in the future.
Racer Roe what future? He was never in tf1-5 unless they decide to reboot the whole franchise.
PinkyBars that’s why it’s called future, hoped to see him in TF6
Racer Roe but he died in the bumblebee movie, there is no way he’s getting resurrected
PinkyBars and that’s why I said what I said
*You didn't spoiled more, than trailers did...*
I’m opting to think that what they can do is indeed tell more stories in this gap in time an moreso they can simply be connected only to the first 3 movies. 4/5 never happened
Blaze Blockade yeah I secretly hope so too.
The first movie at least was decent for a Bay film.Too mature and sexual at the very most.
Once you said Bravo Mister Knight, I was going to say Knight created Day.
this was definatly the first movie i wanted since 2007
I didn't see the movie yet, but I don't mind if this is confirmed, but in a tv spot, I saw bumblebee in 1977 Camaro robot mode and looking up at Cybertronians coming from the sky, are those the Autobots? And is that in the end of the movie, *i didn't watch the whole video yet to avoid 100% spoilers*
They don't say
Did anyone else notice in BUMBEBEE that in the end bumblebee looks Nothing like how he looks like in the beginning of Transformers 1. The old( on the new Bumblebee movie it a New camero) Camero.
i don't care about the other movies, this is the Transformers movie i've been waiting for.
You're welcome :)
This reboot is legendary. Best Transformers Movie Ever plus that last that part with Prime was legendary. I hope the next one is as good if not better
Optibotimus giving us exactly what we want, as always.
Loved it!!! CAnt wait to see it on the dec 21 again!! This needs a Sequel!!!!!
Spoil me... *I dare you*
Cliff jumper dies lol i saw it on the Comments
@@swervezki can't wait
cant wait to watch it! thanks you for the spoilers I was on the fence, now I want to watch it
Optibotimus Did you know Masterpiece Ironhide is out
I have an explanation for some of the continuity errors
1) The autobots go back to space to search for the allspark (not knowing that it was in the dam due to the multiple layers of lead and concrete
2) THEY ARE GETTING RID OF TRANSFORMERS 5 FOR GOOD (thank christ for that)
@30:57, it is a 20-year gap bro not 30. 2007-1987= 20.
It is a confirmed reboot , like I and many others said. Hasbro confirmed it at toyfair 2019😎
2:30 lol, a new toy for Max
i think its a reboot cuz optimus landed on earth already in 1987 when in transformers 1 he landed 2007 and also only 4 transformers landed when in bumblebee there were 7 pods total at the end
i cant wait for the transformers bumblebee 😱
I dont think you guys reminded yourself that. Jazz wasnt in the film g1 so i think its definetly a reboot
Just watched Bumblebee yesterday with my brother. It was fantastic!
A lot of conflicting information in this movie to reliably call it a prequel however if it reboots from this I will absolutely be satisfied... this was the best live action movie... I am sad though that they spent so much time developing Charlie to be like “k this is your end now”. I want more of that character.
My stomach litterdied when Cliffjumper got split in half!
BTW isn't 1987-2007 20 years, not 30 years. 30 years from 1987 would be 2017.
I still believe it's a reboot. It retcons a lot of things from the bay movies. It keeps a lot of the same elements from the bay movies but imo it's still a reboot because of the the many retcons, which I love
I can’t help but think how the heck can Bumblebee fight in WW2 but arrived on earth in 1987.
You like Mellow Yellow Zero too? Best video EVAHHHRRR!!!!
I prefer diet mt dew lol but mellow yellow zero is the next best thing
@@optibotimus I had Mellow Yellow Zero limeaid at White Castle and it changed my life
"BUMBLEBAAAAAAAYYY!!!!!!!!"
Did we see any of megatron ?
every transformer movie is kind of a soft reboot
Transformers: they were on Earth (specifically Megatron) following the all spark
Transformers 2: they were on Earth because of the machine and there were a lot of transformers way before 2007
Transformers 3: Megatron and Sentinel were heading to Earth to meet and for the pillars
Transformers 4: haven't seen it but there are dinobots so I guess they arrived millions of years before and also Bumblebee was on Earth since at least WWII, I don't know why
Transformers 5: haven't seen it, but probably there's another reason to why they are on Earth
Bumblebee: Bumblebee came to Earth to establish a base, the decepticons were following him
So it's not a reboot or at least not a full on reboot it's more of a prequel, sweet.
..his eyes get red lmaooo ..angry bumblebee toy coming soon eh
No mention of Soundwave and Ravage?
It have been confirm that if Transformers Bumblebee does get in the box office, then there will be an Optimus origins Spin off
That is our mission everyone, make this movie bring in top dollars and we get to see more of Cybertron, we get to see Orion Pax, we get to see Megatronus (the Gladiator from Kaon), and we might even see Elitaone/Ariel
It's not a prequel
Megatron damages bumblebee voice receptors not blitzwing.
Thats n prime
@@ericv234 no, official prequel comics for the 2007 film revealed megatron ruined his vocal cords before chasing the allspark into space
@@BasedVegeta I'm not saying it isn't, dipshit. This film probably is. I'm correcting the guy for thinking that TFP was the only series megatron destroyed Bee's vocal cords.
The movies override comic canon. Titan comics broke off entirely.
It's a prequel.
comicbook.com gives a interview with Travis Knight the director explaining why he couldnt use Megatron. It's because he was locked up in Hoover Dam in the 80's.
comicbook.com/movies/2018/12/19/bumblebee-deleted-megatron-decepticon-scene/
i loved it so much i got chills when the touch played
R.I.P. BLITZWING THAT LOOKS LIKE STARSCREAM UP TO HIS LOWER WASTE SECTION AND IS RED, WHITE, AND GRAY FOR SOME REASON.
I got to see it early too! Best surprise my parents ever gave me
We see Optimus in robot in the end G1?
