Personally I think fury warrior should have been on this list as it’s a very easy spec to pick up for new players without being overwhelmed. In that same regard, I think listing preservation was a bad call. While you’re correct it’s one of the, if not the best healer currently, it’s far from an easy class making it not very beginner friendly. It’s one of the highest skill cap healers and really should only be recommended for those who are comfortable with the role and current game mechanics.
@@celcom989no it's really simple, basically charge in and hit whatever abilities are flashing and use Avatar on cooldown to add a nice spike to your damage.
same, i stopped playing during cata and holey hell am i ever lost ! But what i did is start a fresh character and go from there to re learn the game. I will log back on my OG character once i get a sense of retail wow, but so far i like it !
This game has such fucking skill bloat and fucked up mechanics that it's not even worth new or returning players to get back into it. I stopped played about 10 years ago and decided to give it another try. I gave up about 2 days into it.
I played WoW when it was in open beta, and purchased it the day it was released. I was 24 years old, and for the next 10 years I had the time of my gaming life. I was in a hardcore raiding guild playing a resto driud. I met guildies that became real life friends. I've attended their kid's graduations, weddings, and had them over for holidays. I unfortunately attended two funerals of guildies\friends. I am returning at the age of 43 after many years of being away, so I am basically a new player. From what I have read, the community that I mentioned above no longer exists. It's now a very selfish, toxic community that only looks out for themselves. Has that been your experience? Anyone care to share their experience on the community as a whole? I love hardcore raiding and looking at playing an enhancement shaman.
I agree with your perception. I have returned to play season of discovery and basically have met know it all douchebags. The feel of the original will never be there again, because it’s not the content, it’s the community.
You cna totally find that on classic WoW. SoD is filled with try hards and so is retail. But classic still has that wholesome vibe at least my guidl does on pagle
Also don’t be afraid to TRY THEM. The game offers a “Class Trial” in the character customisation screen. Many classes in WoW no longer play the way you’d expect them to. For example, I just hit level 28 on a survival Hunter and never realised you can still use things like Killshot, concussive shot etc WITHOUT a bow. May sound stupid, but I thought the smart thing would be assuming you couldn’t.
Thanks for this. I’m a returning player, used to play rogue back in the day, got a feral Druid up to lvl 27, then bought the game upgrade where I get free level boost up to 60. Looking for a class to get the boost for. Now I’m torn between shaman, DH, and warlock. Melee dps is my comfort zone but I want more magical pretty colors in my gameplay.
I happened to watch a live stream you were doing and it convinced me to go back to WoW. I last played during Legion. I just downloaded WoW again and am trying to decide if I will use a previous toon or a new one.
@@jedde4248 I was totally surprised how easy it is to start a new character. I had some heirloom items from my old character and therefore, everything went really smoothly. It took me only 2 days to get to 60 through BfA (using Zygor's guide) and then I decided to first unlock the Horde "Allied Races" before going into Dragonflight. Now, I'm only missing the Zandalari trolls and it was quite a journey. Very different form how I remembered WoW. Finally some fresh air. Gameplay has also become much more active and pretty fun. And thank god talent trees are back. All of that makes me completely enjoy everything (despite some... lenghts and problems going back to Legion content while working towards Nightborne) and I don't even feel the need yet to race towards Dragonflight content. It's crazy.
Can anyone explain to me why you have to play at 58 and not at level 1 like everyone else. I understand your a dragon and stuff like that but how come a worgen isn't a level 58
It’s not about the race it’s about the class as while it came out in the newest expansion it’s just how it’s designed same thing that used to happen to death knights and demon hunters
thanks for sharing this info I'm about to play Wow as a new player so any new player tips or help is greatly appreciated any guild looking to add a new player let me know thanks everyone,
I gotta be honest. I think they really fucked of Havoc DH this expansion. It went from way too easy, to button bloat damaging stacking BS. It is the least enjoyable spec I have ever played.
It’s ridiculous how much movement is inspired for havoc for a mythic plus player. Especially when every pack has a frontal or puddle to avoid on top of thundering and quaking…
@@frozennpl just means there's WAY TOO many buttons to rotate and keep up on where it makes a class not enjoyable to play and usually confusing for people cuz there's so many buttons.
Classes to play for first timers. Hunter / pally if your just joining and want a easy class Rogue if your playing on pvp server (its easyier to avoid gettting ganked.) Druid if you cant make up your mind, cat and bear are good to level in. You can do it all. If you want adifficult class that pays off in the end. (Badass dps and ability to tank, everyone loves tanks.) If you want to be a caster, then i recommend them in this order from easyist to lvl to hardest: warlock, mage, priest. (People are going to point iut mage is super easy to lvl, yes but not for first timers.) Mage is the fastest class to level hands down, with experience a frost mage can kill 10-20 enemies per turn. But it takes time, patience, skill and dying over and over must not bother you.

I've always kept new players away from melee. Also just depends on how "new" you're talking. New to wow and new to video games are very different too.

FF14 and GW2 and to an extent Albion all have less toxic guilds from what players tell me.

DH...it's melee that shoots eye lasers
Havoc Demonhunter
Enhancement Shaman
Protection Warrior
Hunter
Warlock
Preservation Evoker
still watch the video though :)
Not sure how resto shman isn't on this much easier than preservation evoker for a returning player.

A lot of stuff is account wide now so don’t be scared to “start over” on a new character
im in same boat. been a few years for me. i mostly like alt / leveling so i'm keen to start an evoker but also to start over at least once from 1

you have to go to the vulpera vendor next to the crafting order stand, and you can buy 60 for 80 that is account bound.
