  • This tutorial walks through how I pattern simple folded ears and sew them onto the heads of my plush. This technique is good for ears with straight sides.

As someone who has 3D modeling as a hobby, watching your videos got me invested on trying this myself! ✨
Your tutorials are really informative. I was surprised to find how similar this is to making 3D models in some ways, all these videos have been an insight. Thanks for making these!!

I want to try and sew my own character that is humanoid have animalistic ears (aka a Kemonomimi) and I was wondering how I would sew ears onto the plushie. I also was trying to find a pattern for said ear shape I wanted but I think doing the method you mention can also help get the shape I want down as well. This really do help out on how to do it!

Do you plan to have a tutorial on how to pattern out a plush head without a head gusset, just like this one?

i honestly am not very comfortable with the technique myself; it took me a ton of tries to get the front head pattern right, and i'm still not really sure what i'm doing tbh! not sure i could succinctly describe how to do it. if i gain more experience in the future with it, i'll keep it in mind!
