Kudos to Dr. Oz for talking about the heroin addiction. These women were not the women we think of when we think of drug addiction. It took courage for them to be on the program. May they have the strength to continue to maintain sobriety. My condolences to anyone who has lost a loved one.
I want to say thank you to both women the older woman for being so honest and brutal about her addiction and the younger woman I lost my son that was 34 years old last year March 1st it'll be one year anniversary this year March 1st we celebrate his birthday August 7th every year we celebrated well actually because he passed away his birthday was so we celebrated at the first year he passed and this year would have been a year but we celebrated it again we will celebrate it for the rest of my God given years the lady that talked about losing her son I know it feels it's excruciating you can't even explain the grief that you fell and it never goes away I see my son Nicholas everyday and something that reminds me of him I pray for every family that has a lot of them they're watching go through addiction it is so sad and it feels so helpless and you don't know who to turn to or where to get any help for your loved ones the rehab places are always so filled up and they have to wait and if they have to wait they're lucky if they are ready to go in when they dowe need more awareness and more people talking about their experiences with their loved ones you two have just been a stepping stone we need so many more people to step up and talk about this horrible issue with drugs that is killing our children and our grandchildren are growing up and it's to know that in high school high school kids are selling heroin right in the schools that's frightening my son left behind his only child a 14 year old little girl that I'm 58 years old I remember the day he went out the backdoor he told me he said Mom I love you I said I know you do that he goes no Mom look at me I really do love you he said I can't take that man anymore which was my husband that's why he left he was forever more putting my son down like garbage and you feel like crap as it is when you know you were battling a drug addiction to stay clean and on top of that severe depression and whatever the soldiers have he had it too and other issues mentally and it was from being out on the streets homeless you have your children and you thinkthinking that keeping them in church as they grew up from babies that that would be enough and teaching them to be so afraid of drugs but it starts with drinking like the mother that lost her son in basements and homes where parents don't give to a good craps about what their kids are doing and your kid is there doing what their now this little girl that was born drug addicted because her mother on drugs when she had her she was hired for 2 days after she was born all I know is we all need to pray and ask God to put a wedge up between our children and the drug dealers are their friends that I can sell drugs somehow I asked him to cover my family and my grandchildren everyday I miss my son so very much words can't even express how much you miss your child when you've lost them to something as horrible as drugs thank you Doctor Oz for having these two young women that are beautiful and loving and kind human beings you can look at them and just see who they truly were and who they truly are now that they are off drugs I pray that they will live a long life and never relapse
