Great overview and explanation of terraform concepts. I like the way you laid out the explanations. Thank you!

I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. You have the best blog for anyone who is passionate about cloud technology and the path forward.
I started out taking a free class on Lynda.com and then followed that up with the AWS cloud essentials. But found when I tested my knowledge, I was seriously lacking something.
Thanks to Google, I was able to find your blogs. I felt like a kid in a candy store! All the questions I had you answered them, and more!
All the references that you've recommended, are 100% golden! I purchased four out of your recommendations for AWS cloud certification course and mock exams.
I went from flunking mock exams, to acing high 80''s and '90s consistently. I'm finishing mock exams in under 40 minutes consistently. Tonight I took the AWS practice test, as I plan on taking the exam on Monday afternoon. And I finished the 20 questions in less than 10 minutes with 100% score.
Seriously, without all your research and transparency, I'd be lost. And I know for a fact that all the time and dedication you've put into creating this amazing content, will continue to pay off for you in the long run. I keep digging into your website and finding more and more stuff!
I love cloud architecture. I love the designing element. I was afraid and the little intimidated about going head-on with code. And had no idea on how to go about that. Until I ran into your article on terraform, which was like, "God-sent" to me.
I do plan on going in depth and understanding it completely. I would be grateful to you if you could recommend a great solid source that I could learn everything I need to know and more. My biggest concern is finding a lecturer that will take the time to explain the concepts from ground, up.
I see terraform like mathematics. If you understand the formula, you can never go wrong. and that's what I want to do, I want to completely understand the syntax. once I understand the basics then Sky's the limit.
I know I'm rambling on here, but I'm hoping that someone else will stumble into this and know that you have amazing content and everything that anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in cloud computing, would be neck deep and information and directives, visiting your website.
To say the least I have subscribed, and liked. I have tons of shortcuts to your web content saved on my phone now. Lol.
Thanks again for all you do. And whenever you find yourself in Houston after this pandemic, please give me a heads up, I got you covered!
I'll hit you up on IG. I see your links.

      Yooooooooooooooo!
This is by far the best comment I've ever received, thank you so much for taking the time out to write this! I actually went *all in* on cloud topics maybe half-way through 2019, so it's maybe a year and a half ago now. Since then, things have just continued to snowball for me. My hunch that cloud is an underserved part of tech seems to be turning out to be correct! 😂
"I would be grateful to you if you could recommend a great solid source that I could learn everything I need to know and more." ->
I am thinking of putting together my own product, which would go into all different aspects of cloud software. If you'd be interested to pilot, shoot me a message, I'd love to get some people involved early as trial users. But, in terms of what already exists, I hear a lot about Adrian Cantril's work for the cloud certificates: cantrill.io/. Also, you should check out the DevOps roadmap if you haven't already: github.com/kamranahmedse/developer-roadmap (side note: I hate the word DevOps, but this is a fairly decent "overview" of a lot of cloud technologies, too). In terms of paid stuff, both ACloudGuru and CloudAcademy do offer career "roadmaps", too. In terms of more open-source/free stuff, you can also use the AWS certification career paths, too if you wanted some general direction.
I'd also highly suggest you join some communities, join the "cloud resume challenge" discord, 100 days of cloud discord and consider applying for the "AWS community builders" program. All great communities full of people who can help out further 🙏 Maybe there's some more in your local area, or meetup etc. Definitely worth it.
Any other questions you have, please do send them my way 🙏

@@openupthecloud Thanks for all the info you dropped! I just checked out Adrian's course intro to Solutions Architect (associate). It seems to be full of information. 50hrs+!???
I am definitely going to get that.
I'm not too concerned with "paid" vs "free". My main focus is, lecturers who take their time to serve up in depth knowledge with rationales on HOW and WHY things are how they are.
Those type of approaches STICK in your head, vs "go here, do this, now do that."
Terraform and Solutions Architecture are the areas where I want to "drench" my brain in.
DevOps would be the follow-up, just because I feel it would make me a "well rounded cloud Architect."
I'm definitely very interested in your beta group! I will reach out to you on IG.
      Discord? All in for sure!
Thanks again. I'll be in touch shortly!
