The YM is simply awesome! I’d take a YM any day over the Sub.
The Yacht-Master II 40 with the blue dial is the perfect watch! I would choose that over the DateJust or even a Submariner any day! The way the light hits that dial is mesmerizing. This is surely at the top of my list! Great video and comparison 👍😎🔥

I have been looking for a comparison between a YM 40 and a DJ 40 126334 on TH-cam. It was great to see them next to each other.
I bought my daughter one in 2006 with the white face gold bezel absolutely stunning so is the blue face always been an underrated watch. Now they’re going to cost a fortune
I was looking forward to your opinion because I own the same watch and love it. But I could not make it more than 3 minutes because of the annoying music playing…

I have the sub, but I like the YM better... but it's also more money it's not an equal comparison.
You still own it? I just inherited a 2000 Rolex 16622 yacht master platinum dial and bexel with box and every piece of paperwork. My uncle wore it twice and I never knew he bought it. He had the bill for it, he paid 3765 cash for it brand new. Bob's watches offered me 9700 for it. I wouldn't sell it for a million. Love the blue. Have you have any scratch problems? Hope not. Congrats on the inheritance! It's a classic beauty. Unfortunately with any highly polished rolex, it's a scratch magnet especially on the bracelet and even more so on the bezel that's made of precious metal (softer than steel). I pay extra attention on caring for the bezel since that can't really be polished. The bracelet can still be restored to fairly new condition via a skilled polishing.
@@randychuah cool I already heard that. I think I'm going to get a high dollar strap for it. I kind of like honest wear on a Rolex. Thanks I was shocked. I didn't even know he had it. I was more excited I got to but his weapon collection. I got 10 AMAZING guns that are all special. My wife made me sell 2 that paid for them all. You have a yacht master?

they are very different in my opinion YM is definitely underrated.
Loud obnoxious music ruins what seems a very good review.
Great video.. subdued bling factor.. hilarious.. just make the music ever so slightly louder then you can say what you like and we would not be able to hear.. harsh but true..apologies but I hope this will help you improve..🥂👍
I have the later version YM in blue. It looks so much more gorgeous than any Sub, & is a more comfortable fit. Wins easily!

Absolutely- Yacht Master is definitely an upgrade to any Rolex submariner (maybe not to a GMT Master ii due to the complications)
Rolex made de Yacht-master as a luxury upgrade for the Submariner.
The rhodium (slate) Ym40 is now very rare and expensive to get at collector market. I regret not getting one 3 years ago….

I agree that the Sub is the icon of rolex. But it's too common for my liking. The lume on the YM is similar to the Sub, its blue.
You are from Malaysia? I'm planning to buy my very first Rolex, the Datejust. Is it possible for me to walk-in into the Rolex KLCC outlet without having to register under the waiting list?
Yes from Malaysia. You can walk in but very likely it will not be in stock. What's usually in stock are the gold/diamond datejusts, and other less popular models. Submariners, Daytona, YM, DJ , all have a long waiting list. But no harm walking in and talking to them to build a relationship. You might get lucky
