I feel stupid for asking since you probably have this somewhere, but walking through the full process of how you produce a song would be hugely helpful. I use your exact tone models and IR’s, but your production and drum mixes make a world of difference. Would love to see that laid out.
Woohoo! I'm very excited about this! I love these tone models. They sound great and they are very versatile, so definitely not just for high gain! I hope you check them out! Some notes: as I said in the video I recommend using the OwnHammer Essentials IRs for these packs but of course you are free to use whatever cabinet you like. To find the right amount of gain for your guitar/interface adjust the input gain control for fine tuning. Enjoy and let me know your thoughts! Jon
I purchased Heavy Legends Vol 1 and Heavy Legends Vol 2. The impression that I used was the best. Please release Heavy Legends Vol 3 soon. Put in a wide range of Diezel VH, Mesa Boogie Mark V and ENGL. I look forward to its release.
Just wanted to say thank you for the collections. I only have the 2nd one with the JJ Jr, Orange, and PV6505, but your captures are one of the only times I've gotten a sound I like with Orange stuff. Nothing against them, it's a me thing, but it was dialed in how I wanted. And the JJ, at least until I can get my own amp to tweak and such, is perfect when I combine it with Ownhammer Low Tuned. It's like the JJ sound I'm looking for. Thanks for making these, and I hope you'll consider making a few others (or at least a Diezel, whether VH2 or Herbert, fingers crossed)
Just bought both packs yesterday. I’m really impressed at how well the lunchbox DIs hold up to the higher wattage / larger tube heads in this pack! Does anyone have recommended ‘Trim In’ and Model ‘Gain’ settings ? I’m noticing that these two settings make a world of difference for the Tonex models so just wondering what the basic guidelines are for these. I can’t wait until Jon drops another Tonex pack !!
your mixed sound always very excellent and loud. maybe you can do a new video how you master your song and double track it ? . because for double track presets of guitar vst sound always too dull so there must be a trick . I need in 10 band eq reduce all lower 500 hz -4 db . and boost 8 khz 6 db and 16 khz 8 db. i use ozone imager and reduce stereo width below 300 hz. I have also some ownhammmer impulses, stay same. this i need do with virtual guitars as ample and orange tree too. so it is not a problem of my real cheap guitar.
Can you allow a direct download of the direct audio samples for these volumes? This way we can actually run it through our IRs and hear how they translate through our speaker setups.
Yeah this seems like a bit of an oversight maybe? The "audio demos" we can hear via the provided link are kinda useless w/o an IR, and I see no way of DL'ing them to be dropped into my DAW with the IR's I have at my disposal. Unless I'm just missing something...
Hi Jon, I really love your channel. Great content. I could not find any informations how you created the direct tone models: 1) with a Loadbox, 2) through the amps effects Loop. I guess you recorded them with a loadbox? That works really well for recording purposes. However, I use Tonex mainly to play the amps through the effects loop of a real tube Amp and a cabinet. Recorded through the effects loop gets insanely close to the original amp if coupled with an amp with identical power amp tubes. Captured through a loadbox is nowhere close because of the doubled Power Amp. Cheers
oh, no wonder they sounded so crappy on the demos in the ik page. no cab. Seems obvious now but browsing through so many packs and without this info upfront (without the cab info) I almost thought everyone was crazy saying they are good. But they are, it's just I didn't have that info. Hopefully you can do a version with cabs. they sound amazing in the demos here.
The only reason why I am reluctant to buy is because I have never heard you do a proper lead solo with any of your captures. There’s no way to know the gain staging.
Hey Jon! Just wanted to tell you that your profiles are by far the best! I appreciate that you do your profiles with just the heads alone.
Bought both packs. Both excellent as expected. I’m really digging this ToneX stuff!! Keep the packs coming!

Jon I bought both of these today. I am extremely glad I did. Looking forward to future releases!
Awesome! Great to hear!
Thanks for making them direct DI captures! So few good ones out there at the moment. I’m loving the DuRec
Cheers! Glad you enjoy them :)
I love the JCM800 capture: thank you so much for make it available. If you had more vintagy packs (Plexi, JCM, BE) I would buy them all.
The JJ sold me on Vol 2: that sound is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. The others are great as well and I love that these are DI captures.
Congrats 👏 John! Cheers 🍻
Getting my Tonex next week and I'm really looking forward to trying your tones!! Cheers from Berlin!!!
Congratulations! You deserve this recognition and collaboration. Keep rocking dude 🤘
OMG, Jon! Your Heavy Legends Vol 2 collection is incredible, so versatile and well captured! I'm rocking those JJ and the 6505 captures.🤘
Awesome! Glad to hear!
YES, I will def be buying these when I can.
Amazing. Vol 3 suggestions engl / red seven / driftwood.
Man, now I've got to get a Tonex for sure. This raises the value of that purchase by 100%.
Nice!!
Now, for volume 3:
Engl savage
Driftwood nightmare
Redseven (forgot the name of that model 😅)
Or the jvm410 😉
Thanks in advance 😊😉
Driftwood deffo
Riffs are insanely sick, as always
I purchased Heavy Legends Vol 1 and Heavy Legends Vol 2.

Congrats Jon, right guy on right platform 😎

Awesome :) What a time to be into rock production!
I am waiting for my ToneX to come in this week, guess I know what my first amp packs I’ll be purchasing. These sound wicked good.
Congratulations, brother. 😊🤘
I find the lack of ENGLs disturbing 🙂
Ikr? *cough* Fireball *cough*

Just bought this pack..fantastic job on this!
My guy your riff game is next level
Makes total sense! Congratulations! I'm so glad you don't have to advertise instead a poopy VPN 😂.
You’re a legend man! Happy for ya 😎🤘
Cheers!
Great tones as always! 🤘🤘
Sounds great! You deserve it.
That evh 5150 amp sounds great
It's tight!

Glad you like them! Trim and gain really depends on your signal. I would just dial it in with your ears tbh
Thanks Jon! !! I will be keeping an eye out for future Tonex packs from you man !!!

So cool! Just ordered my ToneX pedal can’t wait to try out your tone packs. Any plans to do a pack with a JVM410 ? That would be cool 🤘
Damn wanted the fireball and savage
I suspect a dedicated ENGL pack will come
Please 🙏🏽 add a collection of Orange TH30 tones
Looking Forward to getting these ...what Input gain was used on your TONEX pedal when creating and playing back ? ...Cheers

You can "try" the packs in the tonex software without buying them. Try, use your own IR and you can paint your own picture.

I used a high quality reactive load
great work

Please work on PRS Archon amp for TONEX
Niiiice! So good 🔥

Oh fuck yes
Que bueno Jon!!!
These Sound Killer Brother!
How Much?
It should say when you click on the links in my description. Cheers!
Hi Jon! What input trim level should I use with these captures?
Honestly, whatever sounds and feels the best to you! It depends on your guitar and pickups
will it work with the tone x one pedal?
Yes
Is this the Tonex announcement we've been told to look for by Tonex for today ?
Yes
😢
